Anna nodded when her friend said that her aunt and the rest of her family would probably want her to do whatever made her happy. “Yeah, that’s true,” she answered in an uncommitted tone. In all honesty, Anna was entirely certain that her father would be angry when she left the Auror training program, especially if she hadn’t figured out something else to do by then. At least she was working on a plan before leaving. Still, the relationship between Anna and her father was never a good one. Both of them were too stubborn to really listen to what the other one had to say. Percy thought she was a bad daughter because Anna refused to do everything he wanted her to and Anna thought he was a bad father because he never listened to her opinion and thought she should obey him blindly. Ha. That was unlikely to ever happen. “You’re right, most of them are pretty supportive,” Anna’s tone was more firm this time as she thought of everyone in her family except for her parents. There. They would support her and help her, even if her parents were angry with her. When Anna rejoined her friend, the girl mentioned that there wasn’t much going on in her life, except that she moved out and had two roommates. Anna’s eyes widened as she named her roommates, quickly adding that the Dolohov girl was a laugh. Anna smiled, deciding to trust her friend’s judgment since she never met the girl before. She nodded a little when Irina asked if she knew either twin. “A little. I mean, not really personally since they are a year older than us … but if I remember right, Tamara is the one that was dating Ethan for a while there. She and Dom are pretty good friends I think.” Because of the age difference, Anna never really had much to do with her, but she seemed like a nice, cheerful girl, which was enough for the red head. “Her sister always looked quieter to me. What do you think of her?”Irina Rose Krum

Irina knew Anna’s parents were always a sticky subject with her friend. She had wondered, when Anna got selected as Triwizard Champion and going on to win the whole thing, if they would ease up on their expectations of her. Unfortunately, it seemed to have the opposite effect. Irina could relate however, as her mother had mounted undeniable pressure on her since she was younger to follow in her footsteps. Irina had rebelled, of course, much to her mothers’ chagrin, but now finally Elena Krum was coming around to the idea of her daughter as a Cursebreaker rather than a Quidditch player. She had a sinking feeling that it would still be years to come before her mother fully accepted her career choice however. Ah well, at least she approved of her boyfriend. “Tia is definitely the more introverted of the twins, I agree. That’s probably why I only remember her from study sessions in the library,” Irina nodded in agreement. Tamara had also played Quidditch, and if she remembered correctly had had a friendly rivalry with her brother at school. Irina’s face grew somber at the mention of Ethan. She hadn’t really thought of her former classmate in some time, and she felt a pang of guilt for that. They had by no means been close; like Tia, they had shared some sessions of studying for exams in the library, but Irina had liked him well enough. She did however, remember vividly the day they found Ethans’ body outside the Room of Requirement. The day of the kidnappings, when Irina had seen the hooded grunts’ neck break in front of her, the life disappearing from his eyes as quickly as she breathed. He was why she could see the thestrals flying in and out of the Forbidden Forest her seventh year, and she would never quite forget the first time she saw them, and the realization of what that meant. “I like her though, she’s a good person to have as a roommate.” A slow smirk widened on Rina’s face. “How is the love nest with Oscar?” she asked coyly, knowing her friend would realize she was just having a fun time teasing her. @annelise

Anna nodded when her friends started explaining a little more about Tia, saying she was more introverted. That definitely fit in with what Anna assumed of the girl, having seen her occasionally around the school. She remembered a little more of Tamara, but quite honestly she hadn’t been focused on either the Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw girl. Neither of them had really been in Anna’s sphere and she’d been quite distracted with her own friends and the goings-on at Hogwarts, what with their last year at school being the year with all the attacks. “I’m glad you enjoy having her as a roommate,” Anna commented eventually, not really knowing what else to say. Other than the dorms at Hogwarts- where she roomed with close friends- Anna didn’t really have much experience. She smirked when her friend teased her about the “love nest” with Oscar. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Anna answered with a small shrug of her right shoulder. Chuckling she considered the question. “It’s nice to be with him all the time. I mean, we’re both a little busy with work right now, but it’s nice to go home and have him there.” She couldn’t help the smile that covered her face when she thought of her husband. Then Anna sighed, “He has to go for a long trip in a few weeks though and I’m not looking forward to that at all.” Honestly, it was the only negative thing coming up with Oscar. She knew he needed to take the job, but the idea of not being with him for at least a month hurt. She wasn’t excited for it at all and was sure she’d be looking for distractions from the loneliness with her friends and family. Irina Rose Krum

Irina gave her friend a small smile. “Me too, it would be rather terrible to live with someone I hated,” she admitted with a laugh. “Ugh, spare me those kind of details Anna, I love you but I do NOT need to know what goes on in your bedroom,” she added with a snort, pretending to shield her eyes from the unsavory images that Anna had in her head. “Busy is good, but hopefully you’re making time for yourselves as well. That’s important - not just being alone together, but also getting your solo time. If you don’t set aside some time for you well..you could go mad,” Irina had started off teasingly, but the note ended on a more serious tone. She had seen what happened to Daniel when he didn’t have his space, and even though she knew he was a special case, she had found a new appreciation for a little ‘me’ time every once in awhile. Irina wrinkled her nose at the mention of Oscar’s long trip. “Where could he be possibly going?” she asked curiously, trying to wrack her brain on where Oscar worked. He had liked history, almost as much as she did if she remembered correctly, but she hadn’t seen him around the Cursebreakers in Gringotts. Perhaps if he had gone that direction he was working for a different bank, or a private collector. Cursebreakers for them were far more rare and exclusive in their job offerings, but they did exist. “Well you’ll have to come to help christen my new flat with a sleepover then,” she decided matter of factly with a smile. Anna was one of her best friends, and Irina was more than happy to keep her mind off of Oscar being away as best as she could. @annelise

Anna rolled her eyes. "I wasn't talking about my bedroom! Get your mind out of the gutter, Irina!" She blushed, but only because Irina seemed to think she'd actually come out and talk about something like that in public. Or that Anna would talk about something like that openly at all. She nodded as her friend added that they shouldn't keep themselves too busy. Anna nodded, "Don't worry, we're getting our alone time, alone time together and busy work time." Anna chuckled, trying to lighten the mood again when Irina brought it back to being serious. "Thanks for the advice," she added. At Irina's question, Anna shrugged, "He has a job somewhere in Paris for like 6 weeks. I'm not looking forward to it at all. From what I understand, they're wanting him to look for old records. Or go through a huge room looking for specific things," Anna made a face. "I don't really understand it all, but it's good money and Oscar is very excited." Anna was excited for him too, just not for herself. She didn't know what she was going to do without him. She grinned at Irina's idea. "Yes! I would love to, as long as you don't mind." She doubted Irina would, since it was her idea, but Anna was just so glad that her friend would offer. "I'll let you know?"

Irina stuck her tongue out at her friend to taunt her; Anna was never one to talk about that sort of thing to begin with, but she was married now after all. She’d start getting questions on when the next step of their relationship will happen - babies. Of course, Irina would love to be an honorary aunt when the time came, but she hoped Oscar and Anna would take a few years getting to know each other, and just simply enjoy each others company before going that far. Still, Mrs. Weasley, Anna’s namesake, did love her grandbabies, and the idea of a great-grandbaby was probably quite exciting for her. “Oooh Paris, how fun! He’d probably rather be with you,” Irina exclaimed. Personally she’d find the excuse to go through old records fascinating. She remembered that Oscar had been a big history buff, maybe even bigger than she was. Likely he’d be enjoying it about as much as she would. “Sure thing, just let me know and I’ll make sure I’m free.” Polishing off her dessert, she checked her watch. “I’m off, but keep in touch you, and I’ll see you soon,” she gave her friend a one armed hug, then headed off to meet up with her Cursebreaking mentor, who had wanted to go over the finer parts of their upcoming trip. She turned back and waved at Anna once more in farewell, before finding a spot to Apparate back over to Diagon Alley. IRINA OUT

Anna smiled when her friend suggested that Oscar would probably prefer to be with her, "Yeah, we're not quite looking forward to him leaving, but it's good work and I know he's excited about it." Oscar loved history, so this kind of a job was perfect for him. Anna was excited he had this sort of an opportunity so soon after graduation, though she was not as happy that it meant he'd have to leave her for a while. She nodded when Irina told her to just let her know, "I will," Anna agreed immediately. Irina was ready to leave very soon after that and Anna hugged her back. "Have a good day," she called out after her friend, waving as she left. Anna was glad to have seen her today. It was nice to be able to catch up with someone she'd spent so much of her time with over the past several years. --- the end --- Irina Rose Krum
