Riley didn't seem too concerned about the fact that Priscilla might change her mind if she found out Riley was staying instead of going. Though she didn't really understand that, somehow it changed things for Kinsey. She felt her own worry start to evaporate as she felt his sincerity. He truly wasn't concerned, which meant that Kinsey had no right to be worried for him. She nodded, not feeling like there was anything else she could say about that.
To her surprise, he said that he'd like to hide with her. She smiled at him, feeling warm all over at the thought. She knew Riley missed her, that he wanted to spend time with her, but he was agreeing to it now. Even if they weren't discussing a specific time or place or anything, she felt confident that Riley was right. It would all work out somehow. "Good," she answered, "You'll just need to find some way to let me know when you're hiding," she told him, chuckling just a little. It probably wouldn't happen often, but she was excited at the idea of spending time with Riley alone. More.
The bell started to chime and Kinsey jumped, unable to hide the disappointment on her face. She glanced up to Riley when he asked if she'd like him to walk her back. Hesitating only a second, Kinsey nodded, "I'd like that Riley," she told him, standing up beside him. They walked back to the common room, the conversation light and not about anything important. Still, Kinsey was glad she and Riley were able to find one another again today. She was glad they got to clear the air.
