Vik shrugged a little, considering her comment. "I suppose I'm going to have to hope you see me. The idea of people trying to scare me is actually quite intriguing." Vik definitely thought of himself as a brave man and he didn't think that he'd be easy to freak out. Especially after spending a while on the streets as a kid, in addition to the job he had now. As a thief, things could definitely get shady pretty quickly, but Vik was quite adept at keeping his cool. He was curious to see if he could do that in a place where he knew their goal was to scare him. "I'm not quite sure they could ..." Vik added, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he considered. He doubted they'd be able to scare him, unless they made a special effort to.
She understood him not keeping things. That wasn't something Vik ran into all that often, but he appreciated it. He smiled at the girl, "Glad to meet someone who understands. Most people I sell items too are like "How can you sell something so beautiful?" They don't really get it." He shrugged a little bit and then smirked, "So what do you do when you're not trying to scare helpless muggles." Vik quirked an eyebrow at her, curious to see whether or not she would catch the teasing tone in his voice.

Lucy liked the idea that the guy thought that he was hard to scare. To be fair, he did seem the type that didn’t scare easily. Though, it was easy to talk a big game about not being easy to scare, it was another to actually not be easy to scare. “Well it is designed for muggles, so everything that we have there to scare them aren’t things that scare us as badly. Werewolves and vampires and such.” she explained. Sure, those things were still worth being cautious of in their world, but they also knew how to handle them, and they realized that they were usually normal people underneath their afflictions. “Serial killers…” she added, remembering the incidents of the last few weeks in their world and in the muggle world.
Lucy laughed when he mentioned people giving him a hard time for selling something so beautiful. “Money is beautiful.” Lucy teased, money was way more desirable to the redhead than any piece of jewelry was. Though, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t accept gifts. She often got little gifts from her clients. But she usually threw them out or sold them. She wasn’t all that sentimental. He went on to ask what else she did, teasing as he asked, and she smirked as she shrugged. “That’s about it. Sometimes I do plays and such too. I’m an actress.” she shrugged.

She started to explain the kinds of things that they had in the haunted house, explaining that it wasn't things that normally scared witches and wizards. Vik nodded in understanding. That was a little bit of a disappointment, but it would also likely be quite amusing to see the different portrayals of the creatures. Muggles were notorious for going overboard, which made things like that more fun. He sobered a little when she mentioned serial killers. That one wasn't as comical, mostly because there was one on the loose right now. Vik didn't really like staying up-to-date with the news, but that was one article that he was interested in. He wanted the person caught by the aurors as soon as possible. "Well, I'm sure it'll be interesting then," he said, in an effort to lighten the mood again a little bit.
He laughed when she said that money was beautiful. "It is, when you have it," Vik teased before appraising her quickly. "Though a girl like you ... it seems like you're smart enough to have some." She was pretty enough that he wouldn't be surprised if she could get any job she wanted. "An actress? That's cool." He tilted his head to the side, "How did you realize you liked acting?" He understood how it worked when one went to muggle school, but in wizarding schools? He was curious if there was a club for that or something that he'd entirely missed.

He asked what made her start getting into acting and she shrugged. “I act every single day. It just made sense after a while to start acting for money.” it made complete since to her, but it was hard to explain it to others without adding the backstory of her family being Weasleys and herself being a purifier. She and her family had vastly different views and morals, but outwardly disagreeing with them would cause more harm than good. It wasn’t that Lucy didn’t want to cause family strife, she didn’t really care about that, but she knew it would be dangerous to outwardly disagree in the current political climate. “I seem to be decent at it.” she shrugged. She had been getting decent acting jobs, and she was great at her escort gig, which required a level of acting talent, charisma, and commitment to the bit. “How’d you get into...collecting?” she bit her lip.

Her words made more sense than Vik expected. Okay, so she was good at putting on a face for others. He got that. He did the same thing, in a way, though his was admittedly a bit different. He stole things from people daily growing up, so now he'd made that into his own job. He smirked as the connections sparked in his mind, but he wasn't about to tell her that. "That definitely makes sense," he answered. "I'm glad you could put your talents to good use." She was using hers better than he was, at least from the viewpoint of the world. She asked a bit more about his "collecting" and Vik smiled. "I've always had an eye for things that are valuable and such. I'm pretty good at spotting things that are fake too." Which was why his clients liked him so much. Vik got real valuables and could sell them at decent prices (which was easy for him since he got them for free).

“Well that is a talent isn’t it?” Lucy smirked when he explained that he was good at spotting valuable things and weeding out the fake ones. She was sure that, in his line of work, his talents made him an important and well sought after individual, and Lucy had to admit, she was well impressed by him. Not just by what he was saying to her, but everything about him, he was attractive too. If she was looking for more than a bit of fun tonight, she might have tried to wiggle her way in a little bit more. “So what are your big plans for the night? Just stopping by the club to chat up a pretty girl?” she asked, batting her eyes a little in his direction.

Vik smiled at Lucy's compliment, "I sure think so ... and there are quite a few people who agree with me, but I think your talent is definitely more interesting," He flattered the red head, winking at her. She was pretty, and obviously smart and clever. Why wouldn't he flirt with her? Vik was a notorious flirt, after all. She asked what he was doing and Vik shrugged, "You got me," he admitted. He didn't really have many plans, except for coming here and finding something fun to do or someone interesting to talk to. "Do you have other plans or can I have this dance?" he quirked an eyebrow at her, his expression daring. He honestly had no idea if she'd be interested or not, but he definitely was. She seemed like fun.

Lucy loved being flattered and complimented, she wasn’t someone who was very humble and she wasn’t sure that she would ever be, it was one of the reasons that being in the spotlight. She loved the validation that she got from her directors and from the audiences. She hadn’t gotten many professional reviews yet, but she loved them too. It all helped her. She wasn’t sure what she would do without it, but she didn’t like to think about it. She liked to put off that she didn’t need the validation of others. But, she did. She really did. “Not more interesting… just different.” she insisted. He fell for her little bought of teasing and playfully admitted that she had figured him out. She was sure he was teasing back, but it was still fun. He asked her to dance and she bit her lip. “I guess I could spare a minute…” actually she had all night, and she was fully resolved to give him her time. But, she couldn’t just admit that. She set her drink down and lead the way out onto the dance floor, confidently.

Vik smiled, chuckling when she asserted that her talents weren't more interesting, just different. "Okay, fine," he began, about to tease her. "Yours are more easy to show off then." Granted, he could show off his thievery when he was of a mind to. It just depended on who he was with. Her acting was definitely more socially acceptable, though he wasn't going to come out and say that. No, that would give him away and there was no way Vik would willingly do that. She agreed to dance with him, saying she could spare a minute and Vik followed her onto the dance floor, excited. He liked having a good time with people and Lucy definitely seemed like someone who knew how to have a good time. He swayed and danced to the music confidently, trying out some dorky moves just to see how she'd react. Was she the type that would be embarrassed and leave him for it or go with the flow? He had too much fun testing people with these types of things, looking to see what their reactions would be.

He clarified that her talents were easier to show off and she gave a nod, but didn’t say anything else about it, they could go on and on, debating for hours about which set of skills was better to have. While Lucy wasn’t sure she had the same eye that he had, she was sure that given two objects, she could determine between real and fake. And she was sure that if he was given a situation, he could BS his way through it like she did everyday of her life. Instead, she just took them to the dancefloor. He followed her easily and she smirked once they got there. He danced normally for a few moments and then took a leap and began to pull off some rather dorky moves. The corners of her lips spread upwards into a smile and she let a laugh escape her lips in the form of a loud, “HA!” she watched him, wondering if that was really him or if he was testing her. “Wow, you seem very coordinated.” she teased. “I’m jealous.”

She was confident and sure of herself on the dancefloor, which was definitely something that Vik could appreciate. Not that there was a lack about things to appreciate when it came to Lucy. She was beautiful, she obviously had a fun kind of personality and had a quick wit. All things that made him look forward to spending time with her, even if it was just for a short while this evening. He watched her closely when he started dancing, curious to see how she'd respond. She laughed, telling him that he seemed coordinated and saying she was jealous. Vik chuckled in response. "Well, I can teach you my moves if that's what you want," he suggested with a sly wink. "What do you say? I'll teach you some of mine if you teach me some of yours?" Vik was a good dancer, but she didn't need to know that. It was much more fun to pretend otherwise.

Lucy laughed again when he offered to teach her some of his moves and the suggested that she teach him some of hers. To be fair, she didn’t have a lot of moves, per say, she did go out dancing a fair amount, but, she didn’t really dance in the traditional sense. Her dancing mostly including shaking her hips and waving her arms in the air if she got really into a song. “I don’t think I could keep up.” she admitted in a tease. “It’s probably better to leave well enough alone.” she winked.

Vik couldn't help but smirk when Lucy said that she didn't think she could keep up and that she should probably not even try. He shrugged, "I would never try to force a lady ..." he began, "but you strike me as the type that could do whatever she wanted." Vik winked, mostly to show that he was teasing the red head. If she didn't want to swap moves, that was fine with him. He had no problem just dancing with her. She was fun to be around, which was really what he wanted. He liked having fun with people. "So do you normally dance with people in silence? Or, what do you talk about?" Vik had gone to muggle clubs before, where the music was so loud it almost burst his eardrums. Of course, very little talking went on there. He wasn't quite sure if this was any different, since he hadn't come to a wizard club since his return back into the magical world.

His question caught her a little off guard. No, she didn’t usually just dance with people in silence. Usually, she found someone interesting and tried to take them home. But, she wasn’t sure that was going to be the result of this interaction, it just didn’t seem the same as the ones she usually got involved in. Plus, he seemed like the type of guy that she didn’t want to know where she lived. Lucy had the most fun picking up muggle men, that way she could send them on their way after wiping their memories of the occasion all together. No harm done, right? “Well I don’t know, do you have something interesting to talk about? Are we going to swap deep dark secrets?” she asked while biting her lip. What could he possibly want to talk about. Surely he didn’t want to continue the awkward small talk when he had already got her out onto the dance floor.

This was a very interesting situation for Vik. He liked flirting to and talking with the Lucy, but it was in a different way than normal. Normally he felt like he was entirely in control, like the girl was willing to dance and talk and basically do anything he wanted. She was different. She had an air of authority about her that he admired. It was attractive. She was attractive, but wasn't that part of why he was dancing with her. He laughed when she asked what he wanted to talk about, asking if they were going to swap secrets. "No, nothing so serious as that." He looked around the room for a moment as he thought. "I don't know ... have you always lived in London? Do you want to stay working here or do want to explore other cities or countries even?" Sure, that was light enough for this sort of conversation, wasn't it?
