He held onto her for just a bit longer because he could, taking in her close proximity to him the way they were before checking over her to make sure she really was alright. Her words were soft as she spoke but they left a bead of pride lodged in his chest. Good. She was good, all was well. He reached up and brushed his thumb across her cheek; the moment quick and gentle as a small smile touched his lips. "Good, I’m glad." He wanted to keep it that way. He wanted her to continue to feel that way for the rest of the day. He held his arm out to her and waited for her to take it before he started walking in a slightly faster pace than they had been before they’d apparated. Even if there was some leniency with their punctuality for the reservations, he didn’t want to test their limits. "It should be just around this corner here," he mentioned. Once they turned the corner, he wasn’t shocked by what he saw but he did have to pause momentarily to look. The restaurant had people lined up and crowded around it, as if there were a large amount of people waiting to get into it. Apparently the place was a lot more popular than he’d expected it to be. "Definitely a good thing we have reservations, but this is it." Even having to look through all of the people, the restaurant didn’t look like much from the outside. He knew better than to judge it by that; magic made ordinary things extraordinary. He ushered her in front of him before pulling the door open and letting her inside.
The inside was heated and felt as if they had stepped into a day in the middle of spring, in more ways than one. There were floral trees sprouting everywhere he looked in a decorative fashion that made the room feel welcoming. It was light and playful and fanciful while still holding an air of romance. All of the tables were intimate and spread apart enough to allow for privacy of each party and the lights, individual floating lights that were spread generously throughout the dining area, were dimmed just enough to give it a dream-like aura. It was quite lovely. ”Mr. Figueroa, party of 2?” the sound of his name through the low utterings of the atmosphere had him turning to look at a young male who was looking at him expectantly. Being recognized, this time, wasn’t so bad. He gave a nod of his head and the man nodded for the two of them to follow. It wasn’t hard to spot where they were to sit after a while; it was the only open table in the sight. They walked near and through the tables of customers before they reached theirs and the hostess nodded a goodbye. Ever the gentleman, he pulled out her chair and waited for her to be seated before he took his own.

She liked the way that he smiled down at her when he helped steady her. He was such a gentleman, she wasn’t sure to that. Honestly, she wasn’t used to any kind of man. Aerick was really the only man she talked to anymore, and even so, she only spoke to him every few months in person. There was no reason for him to come around any more than that. The less he was around the less Olive would ask about him. It saved them both a lot of heartbreak. He lead her along the way, saying it was right around the corner and then he lead her into the restaurant when they came to it. The host took them right away to a table a little bit into the place. She smiled as they walked through. This was the fanciest place she had ever been to, but she didn’t want to admit that. At least not right now. She didn’t want to make a fool of herself. He pulled out her chair for her and she sat down and situated herself as he sat across from her. “This place looks amazing. Thank you for bringing me here.” she smiled to him from across their intimate little table. “Have you been here before?”

As he sat down in his seat, she thanked him for bringing her to the restaurant and the smile he gave was appreciative. She liked it, and that was enough for him to enjoy the place already. "No, I haven’t been here myself, but one of the guys on the team has and he’d mentioned it after practice one day. He did mention it was nice but I didn’t know exactly how nice it was going to be." He scanned the room once again and picked up a few details that he hadn’t noticed as they were walking to the table. He could see a large door towards the back where he assumed the kitchens were. There was food floating gently in front of waiters who held their wands in what he could only think of as an attempt at regal. Across a few tables, for the most part, everyone seemed to be in their own conversations but a few people turned and looked his way. One man even took it far enough as to spot him, widen his eyes in shock, then turn to his companion and not-so-subtly point in his direction. He took a deep breath before turning back to Angela. "I like the atmosphere. It’s intimate in a way that makes it good for a date," he started before he picked up the menu and skimmed it. The price of everything was more on the expensive side; he’d expected it. "And please, order anything you’d like. I’ll take care of it." He was quiet for a few minutes, wanting to give her time to look over the menu before he thought to continue any of their previous conversation. He didn’t think that his curiosity of her would ever be satisfied but he wanted to get to know her better. He had plenty of questions he wanted to ask but figuring out where to start was the catch. "So, what about your childhood? Did you grow up here?" he asked easily. She’d told him a little bit about her family before, and with the fact she took Olive their often he could infer what their relationship was like but he wanted to hear it from her.

He admitted that he had never been here before and explained that he got the idea for the place from a teammate, admitting that he didn’t know how nice it would be. “It is a really great atmosphere.” she agreed before he told her to get whatever she wanted. The prices on the menu terrified her. Angie wasn’t exactly someone who struggled, she worked hard and she lived below her means so she was able to save money, mostly for Olive’s future and school days. She wanted to be able to send Olive to whatever school she wanted to go to, which was looking more and more like Beauxbatons each day, however, Angie had years to make the official decision. She knew that he wasn’t struggling either, and as a Quidditch star, he likely made good money, but she still felt a little uncomfortable making him spend so much. She decided on a fairly simple looking chicken dish, with pasta and vegetables and then set the menu aside. “I was born in Brighton, my parents still live there in a little cottage house on the water, actually. That’s probably why I love the coast so much.” she explained. It was routine to apparate there at this point when dropping Olive off and picking her up, though she didn’t usually apperate with Olive. Their house was connected to the floo network, thankfully. “I am the oldest of 3, my younger brother just graduated and my sister is still at Hogwarts.” she continued. “I wasn’t the best student…” she admitted with a little smirk. “I had other things on my mind.”
