Dom loved Quidditch. To the point where she played it all throughout her years at Hogwarts. Her last year she ended up being the Quidditch Captain (not that she got to enjoy that at all with the Triwizard Tournament taking over everything at the school), but she hadn't seen a game in ages. For that reason, she made her way to the professional Quidditch stadium today, eager to watch people play and think about what she would do if she were in their place. She was still considering trying to enter Quidditch professionally, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to. She loved the sport, but she'd always dreamed of playing it after graduating with Ethan. Now he was gone and she couldn't decide if she wanted to play it without him. She had fun during the summer with Finn, but she wasn't sure if that meant she wanted to really get into it professionally. She was still debating that.
However, today something pulled her attention from the game almost immediately. A voice she knew without a doubt rang through the stadium, announcing the events as they happened. Grinning, Dom looked toward the announcer's box, but she couldn't tell from this distance. If she wasn't mistaken, Kyle was there. Turning her attention back to the game, she decided to pay him a visit once the game ended.
The moment the seeker caught the snitch, Dom made her way to where she thought Kyle was. She wasn't worried about him recognizing her or anything. They were good friends. She made it to the box and quirked an eyebrow at him. "Ooooh, I thought I knew that voice. Fancy seeing you here in a place like this," she teased with a wink before stepping forward and wrapping her arms around him in a hug. Dom was a fairly physical person. She gave hugs more often than waves, which all her friends were well aware of. If she was in a particularly good mood, she would often kiss their cheeks too, but today it was just a hug for her friend. She pulled away, looking him over. "All right, now why is it that I haven't seen you since graduation? Something about that seems wrong to me, Kyle-boy." She grinned, feeling quite certain she'd be able to convince him to do something with her today, which would make the day all the more fun.

@dominique XX.XX.2024 Even with the season being halfway over Kyle still got nervous before stepping into that commentators booth on game nights. His colleagues were all quite pleasant to him considering how new he was to the team. He wholeheartedly expected a little bit of push back when he made his transition from student at Hogwarts to professional Quidditch commentator, yet he experienced very little of that. Kyle truly saw this as a testament to the commaradary that surrounded the sport. His father had always told him that in the company of Quidditch fans you’ll always find a friend. Yet even with that, and even taking into account all the fun he had doing this everyday, Kyle missed his friends. Not only did he miss his friends but he missed the companionship that being around others that cared about him brought. As he stopped to think of it, taking a seat next to his fellow commentator that he knew very little about, he hadn’t seen any of his friends in months. It can be a lonely time being on the road so much. This was the first time he had really stopped to think about it.
Kyle pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind however as the time for him to work his magic was on. Being the younger of the two commentators he was typically tasked with discussing different players and the pertinent information about them throughout the match. His colleague would typically call most play by play commentary, this was a job traditionally reserved for the more experienced of the pair. However Kyle was not at a lack for knowledge of the individual play by play analysis. Often times he found himself throwing in bits of information about the biggest plays to help the audience better understand what was happening. After about thirty minutes passed Kyle had one of those very opportunities present itself. The home team’s keeper had just allowed a very costly goal by the visiting team’s chaser. Kyle’s colleague announced the goal with a bright enthusiastic cheer that helped to light up the stadium. Kyle spoke up as the overhead panel showed a replay of the goal. ”You’re absolutely right with that one Joe! You see as these two beaters pulled back and ascended in an attempt to double team the seeker, she was able to make a quick barrel roll though her descent. That got the keeper’s weight on his back end and she was able to sink the shot. Awesome play there Joe!” Kyle was ecstatic, he loved this. Quidditch was his passion and he was so proud that he had been given the opportunity to do this for a living.
After the match ended and the stands started to clear Kyle shook hands with his team congratulating them all on another successful game. He stayed behind to review the match’s box score sheet. While deep in thought reviewing the time of possession differential between the two team’s chasers, a bright very familiar voice caught his ear. Kyle looked up just in time to see Dom wrap her arms around him in a big hug. He was so happy to see her, he had just been thinking earlier about how much he missed his friends and he knew that Dom was the perfect one of them for him to spend time with right now. Kyle wrapped her up into a hug as well before the both of them let go. ”You’ve got me there Dom I guess I’m just to deep into my work.” He shrugged, a smile crossing his face as he said this. He looked at her, she looked great, having not seen her since they graduated and being so deep into his work sometimes Kyle was beginning to forget some of his friends looks. He laid the stat sheet back down on a stool and picked up his wand from where he had left it at his station, sticking it into his jacket pocket. ”Hopefully you’re not too mad at me, I don’t want to get on your bad list!” He smirked playfully knowing that Dom liked giving him jabs, he enjoyed it all the same. Kyle scratched his chin making his expression more serious now, pondering for a moment.”Though you do get to be a lot of fun when you’re angry, so maybe…” He tried his best to keep a serious face but couldn’t help it, letting a grin escape. He liked playing along with Dom’s humor however he knew he wasn’t quite good at it. Historically he always lost these charisma battles with her. It was always a good time though, and he was excited for what the day had in store for the two of them.

Dom grinned even more- if that was possible- when Kyle hugged her back. Good. At least that meant that he hadn't been avoiding her since graduation. That would make things a little awkward, if she let it. Thinking about it though, Dom would never let someone not wanting her around make things awkward. She'd rather just tease them and somehow convince them that they wanted to be around her, if she could swing it. Normally that wasn't too hard for her to do. She rolled her eyes when he said he was too deep in his work. "You and I both know that's no excuse. Work or friends?" Her words might have been taken seriously, except for the fact that her tone was totally joking and Kyle knew her well enough to understand the way she liked to joke.
She made a face, tapping her chin thoughtfully when he said he hoped she wasn't too mad at him. "Well I guess that depends on your intentions now. Are you going to keep on avoiding me?" she asked, a slightly smirk slipping onto her face as she quirked an inquisitive eyebrow at him. She knew he hadn't avoided her, life just got in the way. Still, Dom did want to make sure that they didn't let that happen again. She knew that lots of people drifted apart from their friends once they'd graduated, but she didn't want that to happen with all her friends. Dom would keep as many of them as she possibly could. She rolled her eyes when he mentioned that she was fun when she was angry. "For your information, I am always fun. More so with people who actually want to have fun with me so ..." she trailed off suggestively, waiting to see how he would respond to that. Dom just wanted to have fun with a friend and Kyle was a good friend so she was all for that. As long as he was.

@dominique XX.XX.2024 Kyle grinned and nodded his head in agreement with Dom. She was absolutely right, he couldn’t really use the “to deep in his work” thing as an excuse. Not that this was what he was trying to do, he meant it honestly but he knew that when he was talking with Dom that she would hold him to a higher standard. She had been holding him to that high standard ever since they had their first class together so many years ago. Back then they enjoyed the relaxation of being young and carefree, being an adult was a lot harder, and there were so many commitments that came along with it. ”You’re right Dom, no excuses. You know I want to spend time with you!” He smiled winking at her.
The pair had always had a playful relationship, even during their toughest times Kyle always knew he could rely on Dom to be there to help cheer him up and to have fun, distracting him from whatever had been terrible in that instance. Kyle couldn’t help but feel so guilty that he had neglected to reach out to her since graduation. That part of him that cared so much about the affirmation of his friends squirming from the thought of letting her down. Yet Kyle knew that Dom wasn’t mad, she was genuinely just that great of a friend to him. She was always so sweet and so fun, and he knew that there had been plenty of times when she was that way even though he didn’t deserve it. Kyle scratched the back of his head perking up, ”I promise Dom I won’t avoid you. I’m sure you know I like you too much to do that! I won’t avoid you even if you’re smelly sometimes.” He grinned a big toothy grin, playfully sticking his tongue out at her. As far as Kyle thought, she really wasn’t stinky at all, but he knew this would poke fun at her so he played along. Part of what makes the two of them such good friends was his awareness of how she enjoyed it when he poked her like that. Their verbal jabs, from the outside, might seem like over the top. Perhaps to some people the way they picked on each other may be tacky. To Kyle it was the way that they picked on each other that meant so much to him. ”You’re right Dom you are fun, so what kind of fun are you thinking we get into?” Kyle tilted his head as he said this, he was already having more fun then he regularly had. Most of he days this past month or so had been such boring days. To him today was already a success.

Dom grinned and nodded when Kyle agreed not to give excuses. Good. She hated excuses. People gave lame reasons for why they didn't do things that obviously weren't a priority for them. If they didn't want to do something, they should just say so! And if they did, well, they should make it a priority if they wanted it to be one. Even though she'd technically been teasing when she said as much to Kyle, a part of her meant it. She hated losing friends to work. "Good! Then we'll make it a priority!" She told him, her smile turning to a smirk when he winked at her. Things were going back to the way they had been before and she was glad. She was tired of losing people she cared about.
He started to promise that he wouldn't avoid her, telling her that he liked her too much even if she was smelly. Dom shrugged good-naturedly, "Well, I can't really argue with that. I like to have fun way too much to care how I smell." She knew he was teasing her, and Dom responded in kind by admitting the part of truth that was there. Dom grew up labeled as the "Tom boy" out of her age group of cousins. She was the one that liked to explore and try new things and get messy. Sure, she was part veela, but she was the kind that always wore torn jeans and a ponytail, no matter how nicely her mother wanted her to dress. She sighed, "Fine, I guess I won't be mad at you, since you've agree to stop avoiding me now," she gave in. Dom had a hard time pretending to be mad with her friends anyway. They all knew her too well to believe it.
Kyle agreed that she was fun, asking what they should do now and Dom grinned, "I was thinking we should try something new. What's something that you've been wanting to try since graduation, but haven't had the time to do?" Of course, Dom could always come up with something ... but honestly she normally did whatever she wanted to. She didn't let other people hold her back or make her wait. She did what she wanted, when she wanted. She might as well give Kyle the chance to have that. She trusted him enough to not choose something boring and if he did, she'd steer him in the other direction.

@dominique XX.XX.2024 Kyle stood up straighter now realizing he had been slouching a bit to much. He didn’t want to give off an aura of boredom because that would be the farthest from the truth about how he was feeling right now. He was rather, very excited about the upcoming evening with Dom. When she asked him what he could think of and if there was anything he hadn’t had the chance to do since graduation, immediately so many things came to mind. Kyle stood up, pulling his wand from his pocket, as he began to flick the wand about the room. Different piles of notes and binders started to find their places on shelves and in drawers. He strolled about the room now focusing on clearing off the white board that was covered in numerous different colors of ink. ”Well honestly I haven’t had the chance to do a lot of anything since graduation. I’ve been so caught up in work that half the time I wind up going home and realizing I spent all day at work then next thing I know I’m laying in bed thinking about how I spent all evening preoccupied with thinking about work.”
Kyle sighed as he said this moving now to focus his spell on putting away all the head sets and microphones in a neat and orderly fashion. I was quite sad honestly, he used to be such an adventurous person, and used to always be occupied with things that stimulated his aura of excitement. He was so glad that as he was speaking now that he would be from work for at least the three or four days. ”We could do absolutely anything really! There’s so much that comes to mind it’s hard for me to settle on one thing.” He finished placing the last microphone into its cabinet, and with a final flick of his wand closed all of the doors to the cupboards and other storage places here and there. He turned to Dom, smiling. ”I’m excited to do anything that gets our minds off of all the craziness that’s going on right now!”

At Dom's question, Kyle started cleaning up the booth they were standing in. Really? Did he not have any ideas of something fun they could do? She watched, quirking her head to the side in curious disbelief. What in the world was he doing? She stepped backward, putting her back against the wall so she wasn't in the way of his cleaning, though she was still smirking. It was kind of amusing, watching him clean before he left. At least, that's what Dom assumed was going on. Her jaw dropped when he admitted that he hadn't really done anything since graduation except for work sleep. "Kyle! You can't do that!" Dom exclaimed, determined to make sure her friend didn't fall into that trap so soon. "You've gotta do fun things after work! If you can't think of what to do, let me know and I'll either give you ideas or join you!" She hated the idea of one of her partners in mischief not doing anything social. Dom definitely wouldn't be able to handle something like that. She enjoyed her time with people far too much.
He finished cleaning and Dom walked up to him, grabbing his hand and dragging him out of the room. "Come on, I'm going to show you how to do something fun after work because this is really unacceptable for a friend of mine to lose their social abilities." Dom laughed, but she was only partly joking. As she left the booth she turned to look at him, walking backwards as she smiled. "Are you really game for anything or do you want to put limits on my creativity?" She asked sweetly, knowing exactly what she was planning on doing ... as long as he wasn't against the idea. However, Dom wanted it to be a surprise, so she wasn't going to come outright and say it unless Kyle made her.

@dominique XX.XX.2024 Kyle quickly pulled the door closed behind them holding onto Dom’s hand as the pair made their way down the wooden steps and onto the dirt and stone path that extended from the broadcasting booth Kyle followed Dom a smile across his face. The sun was making its way below the horizon painting the sky a wonderful array of pink and orange. As the dark started to poke through from behind the clouds in the eastern part of the sky. It was a great evening and it was just getting started. Thinking back on their years at school together Kyle couldn’t think of a time when they didn’t have a ton of fun together. The fact that he hadn’t taken much of any time at all for himself since graduation really didn’t alarm him now that he thought of it. He used to be so full of adventure and was always looking for something to get himself into, lately he was starting to be less exciting then watching paint dry. For someone like Kyle that just wasn’t right.
Kyle followed close behind Dom watching her excitedly walk in front of him, he was happy that she was excited because he was having trouble containing how happy and excited he was too. ”I’m down for anything! Don’t put limits on your creativity, I love it when you are creative it’s always fun when you are. I trust that you won’t let me down Dom, I know we always have a great time together! He smiled continuing to watch Dom as she walked in front of him, also making sure she wasn’t going to trip on anything, he most definitely wouldn’t let her fall.

It was still easy to pull Kyle around. Dom was glad of that fact. She definitely would have been disappointed if her friend suddenly decided to not let her do things she'd done for years. It wasn't really something Dom even though about, unless it was in the minute. She pulled people around, kissed people's cheeks to greet them, and did all sorts of random things that she never thought about. The realization that now they were adults and maybe needed to behave more ... adulty ... was stupid. She didn't want to. Especially when she was leading someone towards a night of fun, so she decided not to worry about it. She could have fun.
She grinned over at Kyle when he told her she could do anything she wanted. "Okay! Here we go then!" She wasn't going to go too crazy, but she also wasn't going to tell Kyle what she was planning. She led him to a pond in the middle of the city of London. It was frozen over and a small hut was outside of it, where a man was selling ice skates. "Two pairs of ice skates please, sir!" Dom chirped, glancing over at Kyle curiously. "Have you ever been skating before?" Hopefully not. That would make this much more fun.
