Nobody ever thought the boys could do it. Not in reference to Ronald but rather that of Fred and George Weasley. Often times you'd over hear the talks of people doubting that Fred and George would amount to anything. They assumed the twins were an explosion waiting to happen, and they were. Yet, not in a way that anybody ever expected. The fireworks setting off an explosion in Ron's fifth year as he watched his brother's fly off toward their future in jokes, awed the boys’ eyes. It was not a scene that he'd ever forget, his brothers soon made a fortune off their business. Sadly, Fred died much too early, leaving the business off to his brother George.
After the war, Ron often found himself working, working a lot. Drooping eyes becoming one of his main new traits. Never finding himself with enough sleep, at night he'd instead find himself drinking, convincing himself that was what would keep him lively for the next upcoming day. Brick by brick, he tried to build back up his family after the death of Fred Weasley. He took on a lot as he trained to be an auror, worked at the prank shop, and hold his family together. It was a surprise, he never managed to tumble down. Luckily, for him, his brother eventually got back on his feet, and the red-headed male began to focus just on being an auror... and his relationship with his soon to be wife, a Ms. Hermione Granger.
It may come to a bit of a surprise to some that every so often Ron would still be found in this store. Not just as a customer, but rather as an employee. When his brother George seemed to find himself over loaded or just needed a day off Ron would find himself volunteering when he didn't have much to do at the Ministry working as an Auror. It was a sense of feeling closer to Fred, he knew most of the Weasley siblings often showed up at the store for this reason, and sometimes this reason alone. Even his mum and pa would help out at the store every so often. But, they tried to steer their mum away because she often ended up in the back in tears.
This would be what brought Ronald here today. His mum offered, but he didn't want her to end up crying, and steering away clueless customers. George had to be somewhere with his wife today, which would be why Ron stood behind the counter, ready to work, and answer any questions, or ring up anybody that wanted to purchase some of these Weasley products.
His eyes scanning around the store as he watched kids laugh, and their eyes bulge with excitement, or freight when something popped out at them. He'd have to remember to pick up some of the jokes and gags, so he could pull little pranks around the home (much to his wife’s irritation.) or, pranks at work, (yet, again... to his wife’s annoyance.) but, it was all in good fun... and he never claimed to completely grow up.

Fred and Georges store had become a very special place for the Weasley family. It had become a place of nostalgia, of love and of happiness. Ginny sometimes worked there too, along with the rest of her siblings. It became kind of a Weasley family tradition to spend time in the store every once in a while. Today, Ginny needed the sort of pick me up that only Weasley's Wizard Wheezes could provide. She made her way over there as soon as she had a free moment, apparating as soon as she was in good distance.
She walked into the shop and just let it all soak in for a moment. This was a place of good memories. It was the one store that stood tall and bright during the worst year of her life. Her sixth year at Hogwarts. The world was falling apart but one thing remained, this store. Ginny felt herself getting a little teary eyed and quickly distracted herself by getting lost in the shelves, laughing at new things that had been added since she was last in the shop.
Eventually, she finally noticed Ron behind the counter. He must have been working today! With a huge smile on her face Ginny grabbed a random joke item off the nearest shelf and skipped over to him, looking down. "Hello sir, I'd like to buy this please. It's a perfect prank against my brother, Ronald- Oh!" she looked up in feign surprise as she made eye contact with him, "well, this is embarrassing!"

The death of Fred Weasley had not been one that'd been taken lightly in the Weasley household. Every sibling, and the parents all dealt with the pain in such different ways. George he knew handled it the worst because it had been like losing a part of him. The jokes had fled from George's spunk with the death of his twin brother, and the Weasley clan had to watch a bit of a downfall. Eventually, the smiles, the jokes, they did appear in George's life again, but things were never the same. Ronald remembered the days he'd train to be an auror, work at the store, and then, drink himself into a slumber at night. He had pulled far away from Hermione after the war. Even after their kiss a part of him felt like it died when his brother died, blaming himself for being so close to Harry. Yet, he knew his brother would have fought for the Order even if Harry had never been so close in their lives, but he did blame himself for quite a while. Luckily, for Ron he had a huge family, and Harry, and Hermione at his sides to help him pull through. Luckily, for Ron as well at the fact that Hermione Granger never gave up on him. She pulled him out and helped him live again, that mixed with his family, knowing they all had to live on for their brother who did not die in vain. This was the great fact about the Weasley's store. With this store their brother Fred would forever live on, not just in their hearts, but the store as well. In a corner there was a Fred memorable, and people always talked about Ron's fifth year, how the twins left the school, they were legends for this. And, as much as Ronald hated being at the rut of many of their jokes, he smiled at the thoughts now, for the man would take a bloody nose to keep the memories of his brother alive. A lot of people were lost that day, but he truly felt his brother Fred was one of the greater losses to the world. Bias or not, nobody could convince him otherwise. Being in the store, even at the age of forty-four years old this store always held mixed emotions for him. He enjoyed being at the store because it was so full of life, and it brought Fred back to him. Yet, sometimes it put a bit of an ache in his heart that Fred couldn't live on to see how magnificent his store really had become. He had been cleaning off the counter a bit when he heard footsteps walk up to the register. His eyes quickly darting up, as he gave his little sister a scuff. "Sorry, we don't sell to brats trying to hurt their brothers." he smirked, as he picked up the item. "Really, Gin? You know this would have given me a black eye!?" he gave her a bit of a fake glare, twirling the item in his hands. It was the same item that blackened Hermione's eye when they were just seventeen years old. It was near impossible to fix, as you just had to wait until it wore off the next day. "I swear, you have more evil in you than George," he scuffed jokingly, as he set the item back on the counter. Ginevra Molly Potter LAIKA OF THQ

It was always fun to watch Ron get snarky about something, it reminded her a lot of when they were kids. Well, nothing had really changed. She actually didn't get a lot of time with him at Hogwarts because of his connection with Harry and getting into trouble all of the time. Still, they had a very close relationship, especially when it came to acting childish with one another. Oh, lifes simple joys! "What? If you don't sell to those types, how is this place still in business!?" she looked around and noticed that many of the customers were younger, thought school was in session so it wasn't as busy with Hogwarts aged students. Still, she knew she wasn't the only youngest sibling here ready to take down her older brothers.
At Rons claim of a black eye plot, she looked a little closer at the item she had grabbed that Ron was now twirling, "Oooh, you know I just grabbed something random. But really, I'll take that!" she stuck her tongue out at her big brother and leaned on the counter a little playfully. At his next words, Ginny felt a swell of pride building up on her chest. "Aaw, what's with the sweet talk, Ronnie? This isn't a candy shop," she took the item from the counter and held onto it, deciding she might need to buy a few things today after all.
"You guys don't seem too busy... but do you need any help?" she asked. She hated showing her more responsible side around her brothers, but she was a mother now and had to be sort of a good example. Plus, this shop was one of the happiest places on earth and Ginny loved being a part of it, even if that meant taking on some responsibility every now and then.

Ron loved his sister. He would never deny that to anybody that asked. In school, he always felt he would be the brother that looked out for her the most. They were the closest in age after all, which often made him feel as if he had to be her protector. Ginny never being the type to be a fragile little girl however, because she could handle her own just fine. Truth be told, his sister was probably one of the strongest Weasley's, she had to be, growing up with so many brothers. Yet, all of her brothers often kept a close watch on the young girl. She could easily keep up with Fred and George's games, and often seemingly got away with everything as well. She was daddy's little girl, and momma's only daughter, the boys often took the blame for her little devious mind as she grew up in the red headed family. Even in their older years, the jokes among the Weasleys never really died down. Just last week he remembered getting a face full of water upon turning on his sink. His brother George had visited while Ronald was working, and needless, to say... tinkered with his kitchen sink ever so slightly. George could count himself lucky that it wasn't Hermione that he'd pranked, his wife often wondering when the Weasley's would grow up. All of them from time to time, still playing pranks on one another just as if they were still children in Hogwarts. Sometimes among family... people remained their young and youthful selves, and that's what it seemed to be for the Weasley clan. "Should I rephrase?" he smirked a bit, "We don't sell to the likes of...just you." this being so far from the truth. In fact, Fred and George were always more apt to let Ginny have anything she wanted from the store, no charge. Whereas, Ron always had to pay growing up, how convenient that Harry and Ginny Potter always managed to walk away with whatever they wanted in life. Something he always often jokingly scuffed at. The boy that lived and the only Weasley girl ...what a pair. Ronald always had to work to get what he wanted in life... bloody hell, the man even worked here longer than any of the other siblings (other than George.) yet, he still didn’t find himself receiving any discount. He rolled his eyes a bit, "You realize George wouldn't let you pay, right? Only one too, because your Husbands the reason this shop ever started in the first place. He'd probably have a cow if I charged you." scuffing a bit, "Actually, I've been meaning to unload some supplies around the store, top shelf items. If you could keep an eye out on the store, i'd be able to get to the back a little easier." he scratched the back of his head for a moment, "Are you really getting one of those?" he gestured down to the item in her hand. "Because, you won't trick me with it, that's for sure." he added in. Ginevra Molly Potter LAIKA OF THQ

Ginny scoffed and placed her hand delicately over her heart, "Ronald, your words are like knives!" she held on the pristine lady act for just a moment before squinting her eyes and sticking her tongue out at her older brother. Yup, some things never change. "That is a good point... you don't sell to customers like me!" She took the item off the counter and placed it in her bag, making a mental note to let Fred and George know what she had taken later. It was true, they would never let Ginny pay. She was like their little protege back in the day and they had to make sure she cultivated that without being in the confinements of money.
Harry did have a hand in the shop as well, which was another one of the main reasons why Ginny didn't have to pay. Actually, that probably was the main reason. "Are you saying you could see Geroge having a cow after the way his children look now? Ron, that's so rude!" Ginny loved trying to twist her brothers words around. It was never not funny!
"Yup, I've got your back," Ginny sad before skipping happily around the counter and standing right beside him. She chuckled as he brought up the item again. "I never said it was intended for you, sir." She smirked evilly at him. Really, she didn't have a plan for it. She'd probably just send it to Jamesy and tell him to make good use of it.

Ron always knew his sister had to have a bit of a hard outer shell. How could she not? She was in a family with six older brothers, it had to be the only way she survived the Weasley household. Growing up with Fred and George also had made all the Weasley’s quick to make sure nobody was pranking anybody. Ginny had six older brothers that were always watching her back, looking out after her. Not that she ever honestly, needed to be watched. The girl could always handle herself just fine, sometimes a lot better than even Ron. She could pass on hexes to bullies in school, and she even made it into the Slug Club in her fifth year, upon Professor Slughorn witnessing some of her hidden talents. It never stopped the boys from being protective, but the girl always knew how to handle her own, it could be why she had been the perfect choice for Harry Potter, Ron’s best mate, as much as it’d bothered him at first. A roll of his eyes, as she twisted his words a bit. It was never much of a shock for her to do such a thing, if not twisting his words, she did have a bit of mischievousness in her personality. Sometimes, Ronald swore her pranks could be often worse than the pranks that Fred and George tossed upon him. It was just that the twins were apt to do it more often, then his little sister. “You know that’s not what I said.” He grunted, as he cleaned off the counter a bit, with a swipe of his hand. “All the Weasley and Potter Children have good genes. Not to stroke our egos or anything, but, we’ve all made some pretty smashing children, if I do say so myself.” He grinned a bit, knowing some may beg to differ. Some would say that they’ve reproduced much too many children, and some would say that the ones with ginger hair were the worst of them all. “Thanks,” he smiled, thankful that she was able to stay and help. Ron really wanted to find a way to get as much done as he could today. He knew that their brother George had been a bit stressed as of late. Ronald wanted to help in any way that he could. As much as the Weasley siblings still acted like children from time to time, and picked on one another, they were all still close, and he could guarantee they’d all be lost without one another, even now more than they were children. Ron grew to appreciate his siblings even more as he grew older, considering in his younger years he often felt overshadowed, but he preferred that feeling, over not having them at all. He counted his blessing more now than his younger days. “Actually, you did.” He grunted as he made his way to the backroom. “Right before you tried to ‘purchase it.’” A scuff escaped his lips as he shot her a faulty dirty glare, not really upset. Ginny, of course, knew that Ron would never actually insult family. He had a temper, sure, but he would enver be hurtful on purpose, especially as an adult. She smiled widely as he discussed the 'smashing' nature of their children. "I have to agree with you on that one," she chuckled, "That girl of yours seems to be getting smarter by the minute!" she exclaimed, reaching over to give him a light tap on the shoulder. "No doubt she gets it from her mothers side of the family," she realized only too late that the comment could insult her as well as he... oh well!
Ginny simply nodded as Ron thanked her for being willing to help out. She grabbed an apron from behind the counter and tied it around her waist as he reminded her that she had indeed implied that the joke product was meant for him. Her eyes widened, "Ooh! You are very perceptive and sneaky. Fine, I won't use it on you-I promise," she smiled at him with mischief in her eyes. "Now, run along and do your work-I'll be here when you get back!"

"Yes, I know, I know. No way Rose gets any of her intelligence from our side of the family." a playful smirk erupted out onto his face, it did include her after all. "I mean have you met her Aunt Ginny?" raising his eye, he gave a fake look of shock. "I mean! Oh! That's you...my bad." his family, and sister were not actually dumb idiots like they were playing off right now. This could actually be deemed as far from the truth, every single Weasley child found themselves really well to do after they graduated Hogwarts. His parents were intelligent people as well and without all of the Weasley's help at the battle of Hogwarts it could be argued that Harry Potter may never had won the battle, the Weasley's always having a big role in Harry Potter's life, and now, bloody hell, his sister was his wife after all. "Rose though...the girl has been keeping me on my toes for as long as I can remember. I swear she likes to make me walk through riddles rather it be on purpose or not. She's just like her mum, never thought I'd be having to deal with two Hermiones. But, bloody hell, I love the both of them too much." he shook his head a bit. He'd never had said he loved Hermione in his sixteen year old form, but over the years the 'love' word had just came so naturally for him. Ronald was far from blind from his feeling now, he knew he loved that know-it-all granger (weasley), more than he'd ever loved any other woman in his life, well...he loved his mum, and sister, but this was clearly a different type of love. He was already at the door by now, as he listened to his sister, their playful banter still seeping between all their sentences. "Hey now, you're not the boss of me..." he muttered, though often the older brothers of Ginny Weasley, did just what she said, she put a scare in them just as bad as that of their mum, Molly Weasley, after all. "I'm going, I'm going," he grunted, making his way into the back room of the store, letting out a groan. Ginevra Molly Potter LAIKA OF THQ

Ginnys jaw dropped as Ron spun the joke about Rose's intelligence back at her. She was actually pretty impressed at the way he did that. Her gaping face turned into an impressed smile as she nodded her head, "I just... I can't be mad at you for that. That was brilliant, really. Four stars," she chuckled. She was grateful that Ron and she had grown up with more wit and forgiveness in their playful banter. As children, the jokes often turned into full fledged fights. Fights where Ginny was on top or Ron pulling his hair, EH, Ginny fought dirty.
At the more serious discussion of Rose, Ginny listened intently. She nodded with a knowing smile as he spoke. "I can understand that. Whenever I'm in a room with the two of them talking I have to check out sometimes, because I just can't follow everything they say," Ginny smiled proudly at the thought of her niece and Hermione. Ginny was smart, sure, but those two were on a whole other level when it came to conversation. It was sweet when Ron said he loved them both so much, and not surprising in the least. The women were fantastic, as was their father.
As Ron left the front of the store, Ginny got to work on making sure the people of the shop were doing okay. It wasn't the busiest day, but it would get busier with Christmas coming up so soon. That was probably why Ron had to get to he back and get to work there. It was obvious that unloading those supplies now while it was slow would benefit them in the future.
@ron {{Is he going to come back out or should we end here? It's been a little short but that's not that bad. I tagged Ron in the thread after Ginnys memory is wiped too. Whatever you want to do here is fine}}

Ron always knew that his little sister had a spunk about her that he was never able to quite control very well. She had managed to get in the Slug Club in her younger years based on her hexes alone and Ron had actually found himself quite jealous of her for this reason, for the boy had to watch not only his two best friends leave for these meetings, but his little sister as well. Ginny did have to have a hard bone in her back if she wanted to manage to live properly in the house growing up as she was the only girl after all, and with siblings like Fred and George one always had to be on their toes. There was no doubt in Ronald's mind that his baby sister could still out jinx, or out win any battle with any of her older brothers, that was just how it was. Ginny’s spirit, and Ginny's capability of taking care of herself was always something Ron knew Harry fell for, for that man was not one that could handle a woman that cried at every turn, or expected a Hero to take care of her. Harry was a hero...but he knew his best mate needed a woman that could keep up with him just the same even if it meant Ronald had to be uncomfortable with the concept of his sister and best mate...something he's finally accepted, and to be hell, Harry Potter was a man Ron knew he could trust to protect his sister. If his sister had to insist on being with a man, Harry was someone he'd agree to out of all the other men out there...not that he could change it now as Ginny was married to the man, and had children. A smile still outlined his face as he stood at the doorway listening to his sister talk about his wife and daughter, a chuckle leaving his lips. What could he say? The man knew how his sister felt quite well as he lived with them both as Rose grew up, and sometimes Ronald would even drift out of his daughter and wife’s conversations because he didn't always know what was going on himself. The two had given up a long time ago asking Ron his opinion on a few matters because he would just stare at them with a look of confusement written in his orbs. "Thanks," he shouted out as he became further enclosed in the back of the store. (( ooc. and yes this would be a good place to end! and were bound to have some more interesting threads as well with the new situation that has come up! Ginevra Molly Potter LAIKA OF THQ
