Zen made a comment about how reading his books to him might be like doing his homework for him. “Not totally, I’d still have to listen and based on how my classes seem to go I have a hard enough time of that already.” Daniel explained laughing as it wasn’t totally a joke. He just wasn’t one to pay attention to things he found both boring and unimportant. “You can also think of it as getting ready for you’re seventh year." He added as knowing the book worm in her she might be interested in being ready for what the next school year might have ready for her. At least as far as classes are concerned. “Still I was only kidding, even if it would combine some of our favorite things. You getting to read and me not having too.”
Zen defended herself by once again saying she was just kidding about calling this an experiment and Daniel just laughed once more. Knowing she was just kidding anyway and only having some fun with her words for a minute. “I know I was just pointing it out for a moment.... so what experiment number am I?” Daniel added making one last joke before dropping the subject and giving her a break about what she had said. Zen nervously got out the word love when Daniel brought up the old rhyme just for laughs. She added that they should at least wait till they have another date before taking her hand in marriage and Daniel laughed for a moment. “Okay, I suppose I can do that.” Still going along with the joke.
Asking if Zen had a problem with his challenge she explained that she had a little and he just smiled toward the ravenclaw. “Well you can just admit I’ll win. Then there wouldn’t be any challenge to have a problem with.” He joked as he’d rather them both go and see who would win. As he really hadn’t attempted to catch flying seahorses he might actually be terrible at it. Zen explained that she would rather not get detention for seeing another common room and Daniel nodded for a second. “Yet you’re willing to sneak around in the middle of the night?” He questioned her for a moment, “besides I can lend you one of my Gryffindor uniforms so no one would even notice. Might look a little big on you but that’s not important.” Daniel added as it was her choice if she wanted to see the common room or not. He didn’t find it all that interesting really. Zen explained what she did normally when she snuck out in the middle of the night. “Well it still sounds like fun, count me in sometime.”

ROLLING HER EYES SEEMED TO be one of the many things she did only in Daniel’s presence, considering their behaviours to one another was filled with playful jabs and stutters. Out of almost everyone that knew Zen from Ilvermorny (aside from her friends), only Daniel was part of the very few that treated her nicely. Others passed with a blind eye, allowing the older mean girls to spread their rumours, cast surprise charm spells…memories Zen wasn’t entirely fond of remembering. ”I-It’d just be like h-how your classes would go!” She objected with a smile. Zen followed the books pretty well and if she ever had to tutor someone (she prayed to Merlin she wouldn’t), it would be just like the Professors had originally done so. Getting ready for her seventh year wasn’t the perfect way to image teaching Daniel on things he missed. ”G-Getting ready to actually pay attention yo-you mean?” She smiled, inching the corners of her lips higher.
”O-One.” She nervously admitted, following his joke. ”G-Good…I think that’ll put my aunt’s mind at ease.” She added in relief. At the mention Daniel would win over her, she nodded in thought. Zen wasn’t the typical competitive person, but avoided chaos and the havoc’s purposes…until Kaylee or Ellie dragged her into something. The Gryffindor suggested he would let her wear his robes to somewhat hide her, but added they would be slightly big on her. Considering her small, thin frame, she didn’t doubt him for a minute but…it was intriguing. ”M-Maybe I’ll take you up on that.” After all, she was incredibly curious to see their common room. ”I-I’ll try to ne-next time…”
