Witch Weekly ISSUE 4: December 21, 2024 Most charming smile award
The days of Gilderoy Lockhart Senior winning the Witch Weekly Most Charming Smile Award five times in a row are unfortunately over, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped the award. With Mr Lockhart as an auxiliary judge, we’ve pored over all the lads and ladies across Britain, scouring the countryside and cities alike for the most charming smile. For us this year, it was a simple decision! The winner of the Witch Weekly Most Charming Smile Award goes to…
@edrik !
The Appleby Arrows' seeker, @edrik is following in the footsteps of his famous father. Word on the street is that he's single too!
Just look at that smile. He’s making me blush.

Witch Weekly ISSUE 4: December 21, 2024 Holiday Gift guide
The radio results are in and it’s the most wonderful time of the year! With Christmas creeping ever closer, many readers are in a state of panic wondering what in Merlin’s name they should get their loved ones for Christmas. Whether it’s a partner, a child, or a family member you have to pretend to like, don’t fear! We have some suggestions for you to hear.
How about one of those festive mugs with a bag of hot cocoa mix? Or if you’ve got someone who’s not keen on chocolate, a nice set of tea bags. It’s Britain in the winter, everyone needs something to warm them up.
Not mad about delicious warm beverages? If you’re feeling creative, why not decorate a keepsake box. It will take maybe two hours but the effort you’ve put in will last a lifetime, and it’s surely to be a hit even with no artistic ability whatsoever.
Picasso and Van Gogh unfamiliar names to you? Truly, the greatest gift you can receive for Christmas is a pair of warm socks. Woolen, fuzzy, decorated with Christmas pudding or snitches, you can’t go wrong with socks. The children may complain at first but when their toes are freezing and their breath is foggy, put those socks on and hear them cry their praises.
And the most wonderful gift of all? An annual subscription to Witch Weekly, where you can get all the news, all the gossip and all the ideas in one place.
Happy Christmas to all, and good luck with your shopping!

Witch Weekly ISSUE 4: December 21, 2024 quidditch news
The Quidditch season is heating up here, and the it could be anyone's season!
Appleby Arrows vs Holyhead Harpies 200 - 190 It comes as no surprise, with some robust trades made earlier this year, brilliantly coordinated by Gamp. Seeker Milen is aerodynamic as a hawk, especially in that tricky catch last month against the Harpies, bringing the team to a narrow win. The Harpies seem to be the team used to coming in second as they suffer their second loss.
Wimbourne Wasps vs Fitchburg Finches 360 - 20 The Wimbourne Wasps appear to be the dark horse of this season, coming out with a staggering 360-20 win over newcomers, Fitchburg Finches. Those Americans will have to get used to a bit more challenging play if they want to keep up, not to mention that spectacular snitch catch by Wasps seeker Hutton.
Chudley Cannons vs Yorkshire 10 - 310 And, coming as no surprise to anyone, the Cannons are likely to come out bottom of the league this year after yet another disheartening loss to the Yorkshire where the chasers scored a team record breaking 16 goals. Better luck next year!
Falmouth Falcons vs Puddlemere United 0 - 150 If there has ever been two teams more evenly matched, we sure haven’t seen it. After sixty minutes neither team had managed to score until the Puddlemere’s seeker miraculously caught the snitch.
