As a rule, Oona O'Toole didn't really attend parties, preferring to read in the quiet comfort of the common room while everyone else went about whatever they got up to. Rarely ever was she excited for a party, but Riley Fudge and Priscilla Rosier's engagement party was different. Being a Muggle-born, Oona hadn't had much exposure to the pure-blood lives of many of her peers, and especially not beyond the walls of the castle. That she had been invited to an engagement party for someone she knew and had shared a dormitory with for years was something to celebrate, she thought, and she wasn't going to miss it.
The other members of the SPMH were, without a doubt, the closest thing to a group of friends that she had had at Hogwarts to date. It was all because of Priscilla that the society existed, and there was no reason for her not to go to Madam Puddifoot's in celebration of Priscilla's upcoming wedding to Riley.
Reaching Hogsmeade, she entered what was usually just a tea shop, now transformed in every way possible to fit countless people. Most of the faces were ones she recognized from school, along with some other people who must have been relatives or family friends. It had to have been the largest event that Oona had attended in her life, and easily the most impressive. It wasn't as though she hadn't known that the Rosiers and the Fudges were both very wealthy and influential magical families, but never had it been more apparent to her.
Standing nearby was Isabel Oliveira, another member of the SPMH, and Oona approached her with a smile. "Hi, Izzy. I didn't realize Madam Puddifoot's could expand this much!"
