It was interview time! Gus hated interviews since most people only ever asked the same boring questions. His life wasn't that interesting. It was about music, clearly. He hoped that today was going to be better. Still, he was in quite the mood as he lounged on the sofa where the interview was to take place. It didn't help that whoever had prepared the room had forgotten the apples. Gus was minorly obsessed with apples and whenever he went to a studio to record his producer and manager would go out of their way to ensure apples would be present for him. Without apples Gus was not a very happy musician. In his waiting annoyance (even though it was his own fault for showing up far too early) he had litten up a smoke and caused the fire alarm to go off. He'd naturally reset everything but his hair was still soaking while his mood was more like simmering embers. Naturally that all changed when the girl to take off his interview arrived. It wasn't that he was trying to put on a show for the press. It was just that well, she was attractive and he enjoyed flirting far too much to pass up an opportunity to do so just because they'd forgotten apples. He wasn't that much of a diva. "Well Good afternoon gorgeous!" He greeted her, getting to his feet quickly and walking over to shake her hand instantly. He smiled and ran a hand through his hair. "I hope you don't mind if I allow myself the pleasure of being distracted by such a gorgeous individual. I promise I'll still answer the questions." He said with a wink at her before inviting her to sit down with a gesture of his hand. He was certainly feeling better now. Even if she turned out boring, at least he had a nice enough view to entertain himself with. @tamara

After an entire lot of reporters and journalists had gotten to the Azkaban and Hogsmeade attack last month, it was finally Tamara's time to shine. And sadly, she had picked the short straw and had an interview with a musician. She wasn't against them; it just wasn't what she wanted to report about. She put on her big-girl shoes though and sucked it up, dressing as professional as she could.
Putting on a black skirt and tucking a white shirt inside, she opted for red lips and her long hair curled down to her lower back, wanting to look like an actual person and still be extremely professional. She had never heard of this person before, but she had done her research and was prepared with a list of questions to ask. When she arrived, and he started talking, she wanted to groan. Great...another player that with a huge ego.
She played friendly and smiled at him, "My name is Tamara Finch, Mr. Courtemanche, it's a pleasure to meet you." Tamara was so glad that she had been born in Paris before moving to London because his name came naturally to her and even gave way for her accent. She sat down at his instructions, not sure if she should hold out her hand for him to shake or not.

Yes, Gus loved the ladies. If things had been different he probably would have behaved better. As it was, flirting had impacted his sales positively so his manager did encourage him to keep his profile as accurate as possible. Nobody truly was safe from his flirtation, at least not at this moment. She didn't respond to it at all though, which told him all he needed to know. She wasn't interested in him that way. It was partially amusing and maybe a bit of a relief. It was a lot more difficult to make himself look good in an interview where the journalists were distracted, he'd noticed. It didn't stop him from attempting some distraction. It was just.. fun? He chuckled slightly before sitting down and making himself comfortable. He didn't own the room of course but that had never stopped him from acting as though he did. He knew better but if people didn't correct him he liked taunting them a little. He actually liked being put in his place. It was annoying to be allowed whatever because he was rich or famous, or even worse, both. It limited his humanity in the matter.
The accent made him close his eyes and sigh happily for a moment. The French accent always made him feel at home and as though his loved ones were closer than they actually were. He missed his little sister, his brother and father, but above all his mother. Not that those were questions he was willing to go into. He didn't want to set up a teary story. It didn't match the persona he was supposed to put out there. It didn't meet expectations. He nodded as she greeted him politely and smiled back with a twinkle in his eyes. "The pleasure is all mine." He said and glanced at the table. He was dying to eat an apple. Why on earth? He smiled a little awkwardly at her. "Just one second, I literally can't concentrate." He said and without waiting he plucked his wand out of his robes and a peanut. Muttering a simple spell he transformed the peanut into an apple. "Do you want one too?" He offered kindly before biting into his own. Almost as good as the real thing.

Tamara barely remembered her life in Paris, living among the French language. While her parents had spoken it at home around their children, they were taught both English and French as their first two languages. However, because they were living among that of English speakers with a different accent, Tamara had seemed to adopt an accent as her own. Her parents still had the other dialect, and when her brother passed, he did too. Sometimes she heard it when Tia spoke, sometimes when she did. It indeed depended on what she was saying and if it was a French origin - like the interviewee's surname.
The male before her took his seat with a chuckle at her ignoring his flirtations; she hoped that he had gotten the hint that she wasn't interested. This was strictly professional - and she was happily in love with another. He seemed to relish in the way his name rolled off her tongue, a twinkle appearing in his eyes as he told her the pleasure was all his. She started getting comfortable in her seat, grasping a pad of paper and a quill, getting ready to interview him when he got distracted.
'Just one second, I literally can't concentrate. Do you want one too?' He had turned a peanut into an apple, biting into it seconds after questioning if she would like one. She smiled and shook her head, "Oh no-I'm alright. Are you ready to begin?" she questioned, still smiling politely.

Some people were all business and no fun or pleasure. It was fine, of course, although far less intereting than people that were willing to play the game. Not that he had all that much interesting in the same things as well, sleeping around was more to pass the time than anything else lately, it meant this was probably going to be a somewhat serious interview. Incredibly interesting for the readers as he rarely gave serious responses as flirting tended to give more interesting interviews for him. Boring for him as he had certain questions he had no intentions of answering and most of the other questions had either been asked or were simply boring. He took a bite from the apple and shrugged. "Whenever you are." He said, making himself comfortable while attempting to mentally prepare for the type of interview he rarely bothered with. The serious type. His agent could at least have warned him this was the kind of energy that was going to be hanging around today.
He wondered what questions she planned on asking. Anything about his dating life was usually either off limits when the interesting questions came or just so common that it became boring. If she was going serious on those he would be very disappointed in her. There were the few odd ones that mostly wanted to know what life was like for a superstar. Usually that was kept under wraps with some mystery and flirtation, which wouldn't work on her. Maybe if he felt frisky he'd give out a detail or two people didn't know. She seemed nice and invested in her job rather than meeting people for status, which he admired a lot. He wanted to make sure that she'd be able to get something for herself out of this, although he wasn't going to play noble self sacrifice for it.
Now his favourite serious questions were about his music. He often was unable to answer some questions due to the extremely personal nature of his more private tracks. People had so many presumptions already that he would almost feel bad about ruining all the carefully built fan theories. Still, the songs that mattered most ended up ignored as he rarely allowed his agent to put those up to sell his album. It was the easiest way to avoid the questions. It was fun to be considered extremely open in his life when he managed to keep so many secrets. He guessed it was that most people didn't actually care enough to do any digging. They were fine with his image as it was so it wasn't his place to push to change it. Still, maybe today would be different. Maybe this woman would finally ask a question he wanted to answer more than preserve his reputation. One could always hope, especially if they were serious about the entire thing.
@tamara (Sorry for the late reply. I adore Tamara as a char btw <3 She seems super cool!)

The male gave her the go-ahead on starting whenever she was ready to, and she smiled. She had so many questions that she wanted to ask, some personal and some about his music. And she opted for a mixture, fluttering between the two topics to get a sense of him. She cleared her throat gently and begun with the interview.
"I have to be honest. I've never heard of your music before I got assigned to interview you. And I have to say...I'm quite impressed. It seems so powerful...so private and mysterious. I was wondering if you'd be able to share with our readers...just what drove you to start writing your music? What made you want to become a musician?" she questioned, looking at him.

Well of course she'd start off with all the difficult questions, although he did not fail to notice the compliment. Genuine or not, it was nice to hear that his music at least made some sort of impression. She got the idea behind his persona down to perfection, if nothing else. She smiled and leaned back, happy and content she at least asked a question worth answering. He thought it over for just a moment and shrugged. "I've bene writing music since I was very young. Before I started school. I used to play with my mother a lot. I never actually planned to be a musician. I wanted to be an auror when I was younger." He smiled every so slightly before he chuckled. "I failed to get the grades. I started a detective agency that my friend is still running without me. My father bullied me into trying a career in music but I do rather like it by now." He said and he shrugged slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips as he thought about the slow and annoying bother of the detective work. It hadn't had the action that Gus had been hoping for when he and Thierry had started that particular business. It was mostly spying on cheaters and that sort of thing. Not enough of the near death scenarios he'd been looking for going into the job. He'd probably been rather foolish in thinking it could be anything like the stories he'd heard growing up but Sherlock Holmes certainly had it covered a lot better in his cases than Gus did.
It was easy to fail to mention Sienna, of course. She'd made his father force him into trying music and she'd known him well enough to know he'd enjoy it far more than he was ever supposed to. It was impossible to keep her off his face as the mere thought of her brought a smile to his face and made his heart flutter. Dark and mysterious indeed, as his music was mainly about the loss he suffered and the hunger for things he ought not to chase. Sometimes it was about dreaming for the impossible, but it was far easier to write about the hopelessness and despair than the more happy things in life. He'd always struggled feeling those since losing his mother. They'd had a very deep bond and even now he still missed her every single day. It was so much easier to down in vices than to face the bitterness in the truth that she was gone forever. The pain got less with time, but it never really went away. His music allowed him to feel that without the repercussions that he normally experienced. That was part of why people seemed to like it so much. Gus figured that a part of them recognised the emotions in it.
