Boring.
So far, Theodorus had done very little since arriving at Hogwarts in the morning. Upon his arrival, he'd been subjected to the Sorting Hat, which had placed him in Slytherin, as his father said it would. Then he'd been led down by some simpering brunette to the dungeon common room of his new House. The house itself had been largely empty, the students all out for morning classes, so he'd been left alone as he placed his belongings under his new bed in the seventh year boys' dorm and changed into the black school robes—though his were custom-made for him and contained hidden pockets within for storing things like potions, as well as concealing the wands hidden up each sleeve. Then he'd been given a schedule of his courses and told he would be starting the next day, and to acquaint himself with the layout of the castle and the location of his classrooms. All this, he had done throughout the afternoon, including eating a late lunch and an early dinner, avoiding most of the students. Theo wasn't sure why he was doing this. It wasn't fear. He knew he would make a strong impression when he first encountered other students. Perhaps he hoped that that moment would be more opportune if he let it come to him, rather than seek it out.
Now, he stood in an unused classroom, a single candle lighting the parchment he was reading quietly in the corner. These were the rules and guidelines for Hogwarts, and they were extremely disappointing. No dueling in the hallways? That would make things difficult for Theo. In his home, he'd been raised prepared to fight anyone he ran into. Anyone, his father, his sister, his friends, his teachers, could attack him at any moment in passing, just to test him. It would take force of will not to draw his wand and curse down the first person to brush against him by accident. He would endure, of course, but it was so very boring. The lack of pets didn't bother him—pets were purely emotional attachments, which he had never been allowed for him. A forbidden corridor...now that had potential. If they wanted to keep him out, they'd need more than words to do it. Perhaps another time. More pressing were the strict curfews placed on the students, and the harsh punishments for breaking them. Those were the ones he'd need to break without getting caught. There was no chance at all of him being suspected as the murderer, but getting caught might make the murderer wary of him. And his father wanted him to join up with the murder and their master, after all.
And, after all, it would be quite a challenge to sneak about the castle and not get caught.
He did like a challenge.

Desi could smell a new piece of meat a mile away. Plus, she heard all about it through the whispers of her friends climbing along the walls. She didn't know his name, but she knew that he was around here somewhere. Plus, he was a guy. A guy that Desi hadn't sunk her teeth into yet. She was practically salivating. As soon as she had heard of his arrival she was ready to meet him, but she had to attend her own things and be all responsible and whatnot. It was so dumb. Either way, she was free now and she was ready to find this mysterious transfer student.
First, she sent an owl to Elaine asking her to meet her on the second floor. It was sort of a halfway point for her and Elaines common rooms. She wasn't sure if Elaine would be interested in meeting the new person, but he had been sorted into Slytherin apparently and that was always a good sign in Elaine and Desis book. Desi would have been placed there if it wasn't for her overwhelming thirst for knowledge. Not just any knowledge, peoples secrets.
She arrived on the second floor and started walking around, waiting for Elaine, when some of her little friends crawled up her legs and into her hands, "Hello there!' she said happily as they whispered to her. Oh? Someone was reading all alone by candlelight on this very floor? Someone they had never seen? Jackpot. Desi blew her little friends away and watched as they caught themselves on webs to slink into the ceiling. She was sure they'd be following her, though, as they often did. The little dears!
Desi found the empty classroom in question and leaned in the doorway, looking over at him. Hell, he wasn't bad looking at all. Not too mention that way the candlelight lit his features.. his muscles were captured just right. Desi chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, not really caring if he saw as she slipped into the room, "reading love letters?"

She was not surprised when she got a note from Desi. She wasn't surprised when the other asked to see her. Nor was she surprised when it turned out that the other wanted to see her on the second floor.
It was past that stupid curfew thing as always and Elaine was again sneaking out and again using her disillusionment charm (she was a fan let's just say) and again getting annoyed by the damn stupid cat! Elaine bit her lip as she saw the strange looking cat sniffing the air. It was right! in! front of her! The cat couldn't see her (she knew it because of the charm she was using) but it was sniffing the air like it could sense her presence. And the fact that it was literally two feet away from her had Elaine on her toes--hoping that she wouldn't have to attack the thing just to get away. But thankfully it seemed as if it gave up--figuring that it was smelling things more then likely--and walked away.
Phew! That was a close one! Too close actually.
Their security was getting more and more tight and Elaine was having to be more and more careful. It was becoming an ever increasing pain in her ass but she would persevere. She would not give in, she would not cow, she would beat them ALL! Of that she was sure. She may not always know how she was going to get the job done but it was going to get done damn it.
Eventually she got to the second floor and hmm--she saw no sign of Desi. No hide nor hair nor spider of the girl. Hmm--this was weird. Desi wasn't one to set up a meeting and then chicken out. And so where the heck was she? She walked carefully around the floor looking for any signs of the other girl while avoiding detection at the same time. Soon enough thought she came across the empty classroom door--it was then she heard Desi's voice. Aha! There she was! hiding--as per usual. She walked in and her head tilted to the side as she saw the blonde haired boy in the room with them. Who was that?! What was HE doing here?! What was his purpose for being here?! These questions ran through her head as her muscles tensed and her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked towards Desi.
"I thought your owl said that the meeting was just between the two of us. Whose this?" she asked a clear air of suspicion in her tone. She didn't remember seeing this boy around before....

Theo was annoyed at the rulebook he was reading at this point. The novelty of breaking curfew trying to read rules was...not much of a novelty at all, really. He only persisted because he was expected to make it through the school year. Annoying as it was, it needed to be done. On a more personal level, Theo wanted this taste of the outside world. His life was not mundane, but it was monotonous enough that he was willing to endure a great many things to continue experiencing life outside of his proverbial bubble. Still didn't stop him from being distracted by the first thing to come along.
Which, as it turned out, was a sensuous brunette with a heavy look in her eyes. Much better than the twittery one who'd led him down to the Slytherin dungeon. Theo's eyes returned to the parchment after a moment, even as the girl slipped into the room and approached him. Theo paused in his reading again at her question, eyes flicking over to her again. After a moment, he stood up and approached her, invading her personal space. To her credit, the girl didn't even flinch as the muscular youth leaned down to put his mouth beside her ear. “That tingling in your body isn't love. But I'm sure you knew that already.” He stood up straight again, eyes looking at the girl, assessing her. No smile on his lips. She wasn't intimidated, and she wasn't embarrassed. Two points in her favor. But not enough to convince him she was worth his time.
Eyes flickered to the door as another girl entered. He felt suspicion rolling off her body in waves as she regarded him, pointedly asking who he was. Of course, her friend here had no answer—or at least, not more than a name at this point. Theo, still not smiling, looked back at the first girl for a moment before looking at the second again. “Your bad luck for choosing a meeting place htat was already occupied.” But he quietly turned and picked up the rules, folding them and placing them in his robe. He was basically done with them already anyway. Might as well head for the common room and see what his House had to offer him. “Your good luck that I was done anyway, or I'd throw you both out of here.” He turned and strolled past both girls as though they were beenath his notice, heading toward the door—
Only to have it slam shut in front of him.
He paused for a moment, staring at the door. He vaguely heard them talking behind him, but wasn't paying them enough attention to make out what was being said. They closed the door with magic? They dared to block his way? Did they consider themselves his equals? His betters, even? Theo tossed his head back, wild laughter bursting from his mouth and filling the room with his amusement. Slowly he turned around, the expression on his face no longer sober, but grinning gleefully. Viciously. Hungrily. “I know that even tame dogs will fight to be alpha of the pack...” His right hand darted up his left sleeve and produced a wand in an instant, and he pointed it at the pair of them. Every inch of his body radiated power, hummed with skill, lit the very air on fire at the thrill of getting into a fight. “...but they should have the sense never to challenge a wolf.”
He flicked his wand a couple of times, inviting them to initiate the fight. If he started casting first, this would be over all too quickly.
As it was, he doubted he'd be satisfied by the end of the fight anyway.

"You've got that right," Desi said, holding perfectly still as he approached her. Oh yeah, she was starting to like this guy already. Obviously not in an emotional way, yuck, do you even know me at all? She lifted her hand and slowly walked her fingertips up the center of his chest, "well, by the look on your face you must be reading that silly little Hogwarts rulebook," she scoffed a little. She removed her hand, one finger at a time before sighing and looking back to the door-for Elaine had just walked in.
"Nooo, sweetie, I said we were going to find the new guy!" Desi giggled, "Though, that may not have been clear," she shrugged. Oooh, "... or I'd throw you out of here," Elaine wasn't going to like that. Although, Desi had a feeling that this guy wasn't about to be someone she could easily kill off. No- he didn't exude that weak vibe that mudbloods did. They also knew nothing about him, and Elaine knew how Desi felt about killing people they hadn't learned anything about yet. Not that it was ever Desis decision in the end, but Elaine wouldn't just kill him right off the bat-not just for one snarky remark.
Desi was relieved and amused when Elaine used a quick spell to shut the door in his face. Desi side stepped closer to Elaine in order to whisper to her as the guy looked at the closed door in front of him, "So, what do you think about the new toy?"
The conversation didn't last long before the Blonde let out a loud laugh. Desi raised an eyebrow at him as he grinned. When he said that extremely fancy uh... challenge? Whatever he wanted to call it, Desis own sinister smile played across her face. So this one was a poet, huh? Although, he was clearly a lot more hands on then this little Ravenclaw poet here. She slowly pulled out her wand and tapped herself against the cheek with it, "Do you want to take this one oorr?" she asked Elaine, not looking away from the blonde.

Humph! Not clear enough indeed. She gave Desi a flat and unamused look--letting her know that she was indeed not clear enough though without actually saying so. Elaine had NOT read that in the memo for the night people! She was not amused at this change in what she thought her plans were. She was very much a creature of habit and control here. She liked to know what was what and when was what at all times. The fact that she had not been expecting this boy here was already getting under her skin.
Ahh well--such is life as some would say. He was here. She was here. And Elaine was going to get to know about this boy. All that she could know about him that she wanted to know about that was. And if they could trust this being not to back stab them--then perhaps another person in their group -- well that might not be such a bad idea after all.
Of course that was until he had to be a smart alec and mouth off. Elaine's eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke--saying that he would have thrown them out if he hadn't been done with whatever he was doing. Which seemed to be reading those ridiculous rules. She mentally rolls her eyes. If he was one of those goody two shoes types--then this just wasn't going to do. They couldn't have someone who was going to go running to the teacher and tattling like a little boy. She would not allow that. She shook her head slightly. If that was Desi's idea of a good recruit--then clearly something had been lost in translation. That boy seemed to act all high and mighty--as if HE was the one in charge. As if HE was above THEM. She snorted softly. What a mistake that poor fool had made. A mistake that she planned to make him full aware of.
He thought he was in charge. That he was the important one. But oh how wrong he was.
She flicked her wand -- a wordless spell issues that slammed the door and locked it shut. She could just barely hear Desi asking her what she thought. Elaine replied in that same barely able to be heard whisper as she leaned towards the other and spoke into her ear, "If this is our newest member--then he needs to know who the real top dog is or he might not be living much longer if he decides to get in our way." A stony look remained on her face as the other laughed then issued his challenge. He didn't think she could handle him did he? He thought he was big and bad enough to take them both on did he? A wicked crazy smirk appeared on the Slytherin's face as her wand appeared from that snazzy little robe pocket that was in the arm of her robe. He spoke of not tangling with the wolf and now it was her turn to laugh--a soft creepy kind of laugh as she stared straight at him,
"Your idea of who the wolf is among us is skewed my friend. But you won't take my word for it I'm sure." she rolled her eyes. Desi asked if Elaine wanted to take him on or should she and Elaine was quick to shake her head, "I've got this." she said simply before turning towards the other,
"You want to tango? Let's go." it was her way of saying challenge accepted. And boy was it ever. He was going to regret this....

Oh now this he liked. When he challenged them, their expressions lit up much the same way his did. The flirty one’s smile was smaller, sultry even in this situation, which displayed a quiet confidence in her own skills. The new one, the alpha who presumed to block his path, gave a smirk that promised a great deal of pain when she won. Not that she would, but she was as certain of her victory as Theo was of his. The only thing marring this moment was the fact that only the one was going to be fighting. Theo paused and lowered his wand, grin fading slightly when he realized this. That little tease had drawn her wand, and now she wasn’t going to be participating? How boring. Theo let the bossy one speak her peace, sighing quietly. Everyone always thought they were the wolf. At least, until they met real fangs, anyway. Theo’s eyes flickered to the sultry one. “You’re already considering whether or not you should join in later. Good. You won’t be able to catch me off guard, but I suggest you participate quickly, because your friend will not last long on her own.”
Then he turned back to the one who was ready to fight. “And you should have started casting. But we’ll start slow, because I’m hoping you’ll put a dent in my boredom. Aguamenti!” Such a simple spell. Honestly, most people didn’t even consider it a combat spell. But they were fools. Depending on the strength and will of the caster’s magic, the Water-Making Spell could trickle a stream to fill a cup or unleash a torrent to fill a swimming pool. At Theo’s will, it summoned a raging jet of water that a Muggle would compare to a fire hose. It was a jet of force that would blast any normal human backwards and feel like being pounded with a barrage of punches—and as Theo had been subject to both, he knew the comparison was justified. As expected, the girl smoothly dodged, and the blast of water struck the desk behind her, hurling it straight into the wall behind with the crunch of splintering wood. Theo’s wand (and the pressurized stream of water) followed the girl however, even as he surged forward himself, closing the physical distance between them.
Because if he got close enough to bring their respective physiques into the fight, his victory was guaranteed…

As much as Desi loved an unfair fight, she wouldn't try to catch the boy off guard. No, Desi would only jump in the fight if Elaine told her that she wanted her to join, and Elaine knew that. Desi winked at the blonde, "Well, I sure hope you last a while. I would love to just watch you work." The truth was Desi didn't consider herself to be much a fan of dueling, working mostly in the dark and through conversation. Still, she was rather skilled with a wand in battle, something that she found necessary when planning a hostile take over of the Wizarding World. She took a few short steps back and lifted herself onto a nearby desk, crossing one leg over the other and leaning back on her free hand. She still held her wand in her other hand, though, but simple just spun it around a little as the first spell was cast. She gave a mini moment of applause at the use of the first spell, causing a desk to smash into the wall behind Elaine.

Oh this was going to be too fun. Too much fun man! He seemed so sure of victory--it was going to be fun to snatch that away from him and to watch him get pissed that he got beat by a girl. For some odd reason she saw him getting mad because of that. Did it matter to her right now? Not one stinking little bit. All that mattered was beating him--no not killing him. He was a pureblood and there was no need to kill him. Not yet anyways. But she wanted to show him who the boss was. She was the top dog. She was the alpha. If he was going to be joining them, then he had to recognize that and respect that or else his membership (and possibly his life) wasn't going to be lasting much longer.
Desi wisely stayed off to the sidelines. It wasn't that Elaine didn't trust her--it was more like Elaine didn't want her to get hurt. Cause then she'd really have to get pissed off at this boy. Desi was one of the few that she trusted with everything and anything. And to be honest--Elaine didn't know what she'd do without the other's skills and know how. She was as close to a friend as one was ever going to get with Elaine. And that was why she had to stay safe. Hah or as safe as one was ever going to get being allied with her.
Anyways!
He cast the first blow and she easily dodged the "Aguamenti" spell as the jet of water smashed into a desk. The force was impressive to be honest--the desk having been thrown into the wall. The wood splintered and Elaine winced softly--but in that impressed kind of look, "Oh so you do know what your doing after all." she was taunting him. She was good at taunting people. She was mean like that. Evil even. It was what she did. If you ever thought that she was a nice being then something was wrong with your head. She flipped off to the side as the water seemed to follow her. She flicked her arm forward as she spun around and aimed her wand towards the foolish one who thought he could beat her so easily.
The wordless spell sent a trio of sharp tipped arrows shooting out of her wand and towards his limbs. But midway between the caster and the target each arrow split into two and so now there was more to dodge and more of a chance of hitting him. Let's see him handle that...

She recovered quickly and got her wand back up fast. Theo halted his advance, though he still brought the spraying water along towards her. From the corner of his eye, he noted that the sultry brunette really was just sitting there watching the fight. He had no intention of dropping his guard, but that she was doing that suggested either subservience to this girl or absolute confidence in her. Or perhaps a mix of the two. Still, he’d yet to see this girl even cast an offensive spell, so he was unimpressed. He’d been looking for her to attack even as she dodged. Still, the dodge itself had been quick and efficient, which was better than most people managed.
Her taunt cut through the air, but the only response from Theo was another round of wild laughter. Cocksure grin firmly in place, Theo killed the water stream. “If that impressed you, I fear this fight’s not going to go the way you think, Princess.” She fired three arrows at him with a single swipe—triple-casting? Impressive. Theo could only double-cast, but he could do it with both wands. Still, that was an issue of magical talent, not combat prowess. The arrows doubled in midair as the girl cast a Twinning Spell on them, but Theo pointed his wand at the ground. Water flowed out, just as quickly but more weakly than before, and freezing quickly after appearing from the wand tip. In a second, Theo had created a tower shield big enough to stand behind. The arrows struck the ice—and bounced off harmlessly. “Fun fact: Ice this thick might as well be steel.”
Theo grinned, swiping his wand horizontally across the room. All the standing water on the floor and the walls from his earlier waterspout responded, turning to steam and blanketing the room in warm fog. Theo moved sideways now, eyes tracking the misty dark figure that was his opponent and the misty dark figure that was their spectator. The steam itself didn’t really do much to conceal any of them, though it did make it much harder to distinguish small details, like the telltale swish-and-flick that silently raised the great ice shield off the floor.
With another flick, Theo sent the entire thing hurtling at the girl, and unlike the rest of the room, the ice did blend in to the fog.
At the same time, he fired a Stunning Spell at her, to see if he could distract her, keep her from noticing the bone-breaking gift flying toward her…
