Amsterdam had taken to wandering this fine day. The sun was bright but did not reflect her mood at all. It was dim and dreary. She had taken to walking across the grounds until she encountered the monument and grave she knew of but had not yet seen before. It was typical, as they always were. Cold and monumental just speaking of grandeur but never of warmth. She scoffed at the white marble cage. "I'll never get it." She muttered. One day she most likely would be in a tomb of her own, embalmed to be on display even in death. Horrid. She heard a noise then and turned around, seeing somebody nearby. She instantly retreated into herself and smiled politely. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

Feburary, 2025 What? Vampires liked coffins, okay? Whether half or not, there was something super cozy about being in that little cocoon. As she started to approach the tomb though, someone was already there. The person turned around, and Nora raised an eyebrow. "Damn, that hair could light the trees on fire," she complimented. Then, she looked past her toward the tomb, cocking her head to one side. "I suppose if you like sleeping on a rock. I prefer velvet interiors, which I'm assuming that guy doesn't have." Her French-Canadian accent rolled off the tongue quickly, but she had gotten good at talking slow due to some people (Americans) having a hard time with the way she spoke. She walked toward the tomb, stepping up beside the redhead. "Not sure we've met yet," but she kept her eyes on the white marble. "Nora Kolstad," she offered, finally turning to look at her partner in exploring. Well, or exploration discovery, currently. @amsterdam

A'dam couldn't help but chuckle as the other girl complimented her hair, even if the mention of fire made her extremely uncomfortable on the inside. Fire was bad and not something she could joke about, but she had learned to pretend as well as could be expected. The other remark caught her off guard just a little bit. Did the girl mean she slept inside of a coffin or was A'dam completely misunderstanding all of this? She looked at the tomb again, considering it for a moment. "I suppose not." She mused. "Although it's not entirely impossible that he does, considering the craftsmanship on the pieces of rock. I can imagine he was important enough to have his corpse be comfortable. It's more likely for a tomb than for those that lie on stone slabs, embalmed and all of that." She noted, a bit of an annoyed undertone in her voice that wasn't too easy to catch.
Then she introduced herself as Nora Kolstad and Amsterdam smiled and nodded slightly, as she was used to doing. "Amsterdam, like the city but you can call me A'dam if that's easier. I'll leave out the last name for sake of comfort. It's a bit of a tongue twister for those not native to it's homeland." And beside that, it kept her from having to bother to explore the required formalities if nobody knew that there was any reason to be formal. It suited both of them much better, she was sure.
