overall personality:
Bellamy is both everything you expect him to be and surprisingly not at all what you expect. His manner of dress surprises most people who pass him on the street, and from there he's exactly the flamboyantly queer type of person they expect. He's well aware of the assumptions people make about him, and really doesn't care what they say or do. He's opinionated and headstrong and impulsive at the best of times.
For all that, he's a very polite individual and really only acts rude to those who have already been rude to him. Karma's a b*tch like that. He might dress outside the gender norms, but he still keeps the style appropriate for the setting. He won't wear a cocktail dress to do yard work, but he will wear a sun hat with a skirt and blouse. Bellamy is rarely without at least one fashion publication on him at all times, magical or muggle, and absolutely never without an emergency supply of make-up.

history:
Bellamy is the son of two adoring fathers. The result of careful planning and the generosity of an egg donor, he arrived into the world one fateful Valentine's day. His fathers encouraged his every pursuit throughout life, even during the very brief phase where he tried to enforce his masculinity. There was never a dull moment in the Bonfils' household. Bellamy (Bell, for short) began wearing women's clothes at a very young age. Never ones to discourage their son, his fathers purchased him any clothes he wanted from both the girls' and boys' sides of the store.
Bellamy researched and followed various drag queens avidly. His greatest desire is to be just like them, after all, and he refuses to back down. Bell's coming out was less of a coming out and more of a confirmation, to be honest. Telling everyone he was destined to be the greatest Queen that ever lived at the age of four tends to convince people of one's orientation. He grew up learning both French and English, and currently desires to learn German and Norwegian. Often while speaking, he will toss in a French word or two. When angry, he sometimes rants in full French, gesticulating wildly.
Still, he was just as adventurous as any boy his age, and got into his fair share of mischief even if that mischief was got while in a dress or skirt. When his magic showed itself at the age of six, his parents were understandably shocked but thrilled. Bellamy had very few incidents of accidental magic over the years. Which surprised his parents considering how intensely Bellamy felt emotions, as it seemed the accidents only happened when he was in very serious distress. They chalked it up to his expression being more intense than the actual feelings, or that he simply had a strangely better hold on his magic than other children his age. It's not like they, as muggles, would know what was normal.
Entering Hogwarts was like stepping into some fairytale castle; Bellamy half thought there should have been a dragon somewhere. The giant squid was scary enough, however. There was so much magic about the place, moving pictures and floating candles, and even with his faint magic he could feel the power humming about the place. Like the castle itself was alive. He didn't stop being awestruck at every new discovery until partway through his second year, though he was still surprised to learn new capabilities of magic.
It became clear that Bellamy's lack of accidental magic wasn't because he was more in control of his magic or his emotions, but rather a simple lack of power. He had a worryingly small well of magic to draw from, as it were. Bellamy could concentrate and perform a spell textbook perfect, but the result was usually sub-par when it worked at all. Simple charms worked well enough, though he couldn't levitate anything heavier than a cat or a large rodent, but he could at least spark a fire if there was enough kindling. He wouldn't make any sort of waves, that was for certain, and he was at peace with that.
Instead of dwelling on his shortcomings, Bellamy focused even more on developing his skills as a drag queen. Mastering the art of contour and highlight, how to draw attention towards and away from the areas he needed more or less of it. He practiced his walk more than some of the quidditch players practiced their sport, and learned which shoes made his assets look the best. Stilettos, while appealing and certainly flattering, were just too dangerous to wear just yet. He needed more strength in his ankles before he went for the deep end. Still, pumps did wonders for his legs and were relatively comfortable to wear. Not that he could wear them to class, he may be extra but he would abide by the dress code as much as he could. He may have been mistaken for a girl going up to the boys dorm more than once those first few years, but his Housemates have long since gotten used to seeing him about.
site events reaction:
Considering he's muggleborn, he's not fond of the purist movement, and he's certainly against whatever those Salemers are doing. Generally, Bellamy prefers to fight with words and diplomatics when he can, but he does understand the importance of action when necessary. This whole quarantine hasn't affected his life too much yet, and he doubts it will beyond maybe altering his Holiday plans just slightly. The Azkaban escape is worrisome, but Hogwarts is one of the safest places in Europe, so he's really not that concerned.
