It was Levi’s last wolfsbane of the week and he hated every drop of it. Not for what it was, he was glad it allowed him to control his own body once he turned into a werewolf. For the first three years of being a werewolf he wasn’t allowed to take it. He didn’t remember much but always remembered the cuts he had the next day. A werewolf left alone with no one to attack on the night they changed just attacked themselves in frustration. Some of those scars healed overtime and others remained to this day. No, what he hated the most was the taste and that his only reward for getting through a week of awful potions was a night as a beast. It wasn’t like he could do anything as a wolf anyway. Anyone with any common sense would call the ministry in a second if they found a werewolf roaming around on a full moon. Even if they were under the effects of wolfsbane.
Levi couldn’t stand spending the night at the Claustrum De Lupus. It was nice enough for what it was but being locked in a room while transformed just reminded too much of what had happened. The last thing he wanted was to remember those three years. He had done it once but never again. Levi had grown accustom to just finding a quiet large forest and calling that home for the night. As long as the weather was nice. He found one particular forest just hours before night, he was never one for being prepared in his adult life, the only exception was for full moons.
The waiting was the worst he thought as Levi took another large sip of the flask he kept handy. firewhisky burning on it's way down. Would it come with the first glimpse of the moon, because that could come while the sun was still up. It was rare but still possible if the moon was strong enough or would it wait till night just as the clouds clear. He’d know when the twisting and pain started. This time the moon didn’t fully show itself till after the sun went down. He actually wasn’t looking when it came out, instead he felt the pain. There wasn’t much use in fighting it. It only made the pain and twisting of his body worse. Levi gave in and let it happen. Alone, in the dark forest he would call home for the night.
