Hadni often found herself practicing on the pitch an hour or two before her teammates would arrive. Her coach had given her permission to access the snitches in order to practice on her own a little. It was early morning now and the air was crisp and cool. Hadni retrieved a snitch from the supply room and slipped her broom, speeding off into the pitch. It was the end of November and the Quidditch season hadn't quite started yet. But, the harpies liked to get together every once in a while during off season to stay close and well-practiced. She released the snitch into the sky it was quickly lost within the white clouds above her. Actually, the more she looked at those clouds the more she realized that snow was starting to brew within them. She smiled, speeding up into the sky and searching for the golden glint. She spotted it about fifty yards off and sped toward it-but that was when the snow started to fall. She stopped and spun around on her broom, sticking her tongue out in order to catch the falling snow. @bryune [Pretend that she was accepted technically before I posted this Dee said she would accept her but didn't have time to post the thingy haha]

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ Unbeknownst to the Harpies seeker, there was another at the pitch with her. Krystopher Roye was in Holyhead on business. It had been a long day, and he was tired. It was his duty as the Head of Games and Sports to deliver the Quidditch schedule to the different teams in England and check up on dates, making changes as necessary. Thank God, everything had checked out here, and fallen into place, no conflicts or complaints. That was always a good thing. But he had been to a few other different places where it hadn't been so much smooth sailing. Now that his energy was completely spent, it was time to see if he could practice some Quidditch. No matter that it was bleak and snowy, . Several times he had to fight to find the bludger in total whiteout during games with the US National Team.
He had already carried out a trunk, which fought his attempts to move it, a bat, and his Firebolt Supreme before he realized that there was someone else on the field- a seeker, from the looks of it, as he- no she- was not carrying a quaffle or a bat. Was she practicing or just flying? He wondered because, as the snow started to float down, it seemed that he was playing in the flurry. He didn't see her tongue stick out to catch the snowflake but he was sure that was part of what she was doing. Hopping on his broom he rose up to meet the Seeker/Flyer. As he approached, he realized with a jolt that really, she was very pretty. Big expressive eyes and a slender frame, as well as a winning, white smile. "Hi." He said, pulling up beside her and smiling himself. "Enjoying the snow?" |

Hadni opened her eyes and nearly fell off her broom at the sound of someone elses voice. She turned to face him, clutching at her hearts, "You scared me!" she exclaimed, letting a nervous laugh escaped her lips. She surveyed the man for a moment, taking him in before answering his question, "I am actually!" she said happily, floating a little closer to him. The snow was starting to fall heavier, and he needed to be a little closer in order to see his face clearly. This was when she realized that she had seen him before.
"Hey... you look familiar. Do I know you?" she was sure that she had seen him at games at least once before. Probably even more than that. Plus, here he was on her pitch-he must have had some legitimate reason for being there. Unless he had stalked her or something and flown up here like a crazy person, but she highly doubted that this was the case. He looked like he knew his way around a broom, and even around this particular pitch. She cocked her head to the side and glanced down toward the ground, seeing that-in the distance- there was a crate there. Had her team arrived? "Oh, did you bring the other balls out?" she asked him.

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ He really didn't mean to scare her; but that's what ended up happening anyway. He nearly panicked when she whirled around and clutched her chest. Kryss took a sharp breath in as his eyes widened and he reached out a hand to steady her- though he was still several feet away. Never for a moment did it cross his mind that she might be the least bit inattentive. After all in this weather, it was easy for her to not have noticed him. "Oh, my, I'm really sorry- are you okay?" Kryss's eyebrows furrowed, that little scary moment had left his heart pounding. He would probably feel bad for the rest of the day over this... "Hey... you look familiar. Do I know you?" "I'm the Head of the Magical Games and Sports Department, at the Ministry, so you've probably seen me around." Kryss shrugged a shoulder. He was always at the matches, and had probably seen her as well, but there were so many faces he had to sift through at those kinds of events that he probably didn't remember as much. "I also used to be the beater for the United States national team..." He just threw that one out there because it might trigger her memory. Lots of people in England, he knew, followed his career because he was from Greenwich and had gone to Hogwarts. Then she saw the bludger box he had pulled out. "No, actually, I just pulled out the bludger- thought I would practice for a while- but you were up here already, and I didn't want to endanger your life." He gave a small chuckle, and scratched the back of his head with a hand. Chances were that the ball wouldn't choose her as its intended target most of the time, anyway. But hey, better safe than sorry, right? |

"Oh yea, I'm fine," she chuckled a little and flew closer to him so that she could tap his arm gently in an encouraging fashion, "Really, I think I'm alone much more often than it is actually true. I just get lost in my head sometimes," she pulled her arm off of the man but didn't fly further away-she wanted to make sure that she could see him clearly in the snow.
She nodded as he explained who he was, "Oh! Yes you're... you're Krsytopher Roye?" she asked, remembering the name. For being in such an amazing position he really was being far too modest! Hadni didn't push it though, because the modesty looked good on him. As he added that he used to play for the US she smiled, "That's impressive! I'm the seeker here," she added. He was a quidditch man, though, so he probably had already figured that out.
She laughed, "Thanks for the warning! Feel free to practice if you really want to, though-" she pointed at the sky, "The weather is actually getting crazy enough that coach might cancel practice for us today," she sounded sad because she loved her team and she loved the snow. What better two things to have together?

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ "Good. And I can totally understand being scatterbrained... the snow makes it worse as well." I would have probably caught her Came worming into Kryss's head, but he ignored it for the moment. "That's me alright. Call me Kryss. Nice to meet you, Miss--" He left it open ended so he could learn her name. Also he stuck out a hand to shake. His body temperature was still pretty warm from running around from place to place and dragging out the bludgers, he almost hoped that she was colder so he could warm her up. Wait... what? Warm her up, where did that come from? "Thanks." He grinned at her compliment and dropped his eyes. He really was pretty humble about his place in the ministry and former status as a professional Quidditch player, because he felt like it wasn't a big deal. Sure he liked the way his life had gone but it just did not matter in the whole scope of things. He wouldn't be remembered. He would die and that would be the end of his legacy beyond dusty trophies and perhaps stories told by the Grey Lady. "I figured you were the seeker, after all you weren't carrying a quaffle or a bat." This time he met her eyes, holding them, inspecting them. He was pretty sure she was geniuine but he had a small thread of distrust worming its way through him. There was no solid suspicion to back it up, but it was there.
"Oh, so you did have a practice scheduled today." Kryss took a second to think. "I don't think they had called anything off when I came through." He would be glad to sit in on a Harpies practice. |

"Carver. Hadni Carver," she introduced herself as he left room for her to explain. She reached her hand out and shook his hand, realizing that it was incredibly warm. She didn't let go. "Oh my gosh, you're warm!" she exclaimed. Just now she was starting to realize how cold it actually was out there. She had her gear on, sure, but only parts of it. She hadn't put on her braces or her gloves, hence why she could feel the warmth of his hand.
He seemed almost... embarrassed by her compliment but she didn't care. She pulled herself even closer to him, using his hand as an anchor, "I should have grabbed my gloves," she said, finally releasing his warm hand and placing hers back on the broom before her. Humbleness was a rare thing in Quidditch players, something she didn't have. It was clear that Mr. Ro-erh-Krys was trying to be humble about his career. Nevertheless, she was impressed.
"That's a dead give away," she chuckled, shrugging at his comment about her obviousness as a seeker. When their eyes met, she wasn't sure what he was looking for but she let him have a gander anyway. Hadni always had a way of making people feel comfortable because of the way she made everyone feel like a friend at first meeting. Granted, it was hard to get beneath the surface of her upbeat facade.
"Yeah, but it doesn't start for two more hours," she added about the practice. She smiled when he said that it wouldn't be cancelled, at least as far as he knew. "Well, that's good! Are you going to stick around?" she asked him, hoping that he would.

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ "Hadni. I like that name. It's pretty." It was a very beautiful name. Sounded modern and old at the same time. Seemed like it would fit a Quidditch player very well. He shouldn't have been in the least bit surprised when she was cold, but he found himself raising his eyebrows when their hands met, and she was. She clung to his hand like a starving man would a scrap of food, or a thirsty man would a glass of water. Firmly, but gently. "Oh my gosh, you're warm!" Then she went to pull them closer together. Kryss braced his muscles, offering some resistance, so she could. "Hey, you could wear mine." He was going to put his on before he let the bludger out, but when he saw Miss Carver, (or at least, he assumed, Miss), he had forgotten. Why hadn't she worn her gloves? Surely she would have known that it was going to be cold out here. Scatterbrained much, perhaps? Or just easily distracted? Seekers more often than not had to be forced to wear gloves in cold weather, too, because they didn't like catching a snitch with leather on their hands. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his gloves and offered them to her. They were much too big; compared to him, she had such small, dainty hands. But, they would keep her warm, at least.
She held his gaze instead of dropping it, a good sign. Krystopher was liking Hadni already. But whether she was being genuine or guarding herself was yet to be seen. Chuckling a bit at her answer to his discernment at her position, he replied in jest, "Even the beginner Quidditch fan knows that." "Two hours?" Now that he thought about it, the practice schedule posted on the bulletin board inside said practice at five, so that was in about two hours. Miss Carver was here extremely early. Why? Kryss didn't probe. "Of course I'll stay for practice." Nodding, he smiled. Something in her body language told him that she would like it if he stayed. Perhaps he would have anyway if she had seemed to want him gone, but since she seemed to be eager to have him, why not have an excuse to spend time with a new friend?

Hadni laughed again as he complimented her name "Awe, thanks. it's not anything special," she said. Truthfully, she had never met someone with the same name as her, but that was beside the point. The point was that he had just complimented her, and that was flattering! he was charming, and he played quidditch, he was Hadnis perfect brand of poison.
She shook her head as he offered his gloves to her, "Oh no, I couldn't I was just excited to get out here so I didn't bother gearing up properly..." she paused, "I'll just go and get them.., come with me?" she offered as she started to descend, toward the supply and locker rooms.
Her smile grew as she stated that he would be joining them for pratcice today. She always liked having onlookers. It forced her to pick up her game to an extent that she often struggled reaching when it was just a normal practice. See, hadni was a bit of a show off. It was a common trait in seekers, and hadni was no exception. she knew that she was talented, and she liked making sure that others knew she had earned her spot ont he team. "Well, that will be fun!" She said with her bright smile.

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ Nothing special- Kryss smiled, knowing that she was barely versed in names that were "nothing special". Take Krystopher for instance, yes it was uniquely spelled but nowhere close to original. There was Christopher and Chrystopher, Even Kristoff for heaven's sake. "Oh, don't say that. Your parents must have thought it was special. And, it fits you." It seemed like she was taking the same route as he was in being a bit more humble than he probably should be. It was nice. Many Quidditch players didn't do that, liking to brag about their abilities and track record. "Oh no, I couldn't I was just excited to get out here so I didn't bother gearing up properly..." Kryss nodded, understanding completely. Sometimes in his younger days he would forget things in his rush to get to a game or practice, and he would end up having to play without his gloves or goggles, when it was snowing or raining. Which really sucked sometimes, but it had never cost them a game. Krystopher was pretty resilient to the elements, and keeping a nice good grip on the bat kept one's hands warm. "I'll just go and get them.., come with me?" "Sure." As long as she wasn't leading him into a locker room full of girls, he was glad to go with her. Following in descent, he stayed close by her side.
"Looking forward to it." Shooting Hadni a wink, he chuckled. There was something in her eyes, excitement, a bit of pride perhaps, but nothing that cast doubtful light on her. Funny he was still looking for that. He shouldn't be, but he would until they knew each other a little better. |

@brydeux | ◀ | seeking for nothing ❤ Hadni frowned a tiny bit at the mention of her parents. "Well, my mum named me in a hard time in her life. So, I guess she had to think of something pretty special to cheer herself up," she said honestly as her smile burst back onto her face. Hadni made it a point not to frown for long, her life was just not meant for that.
As he followed her down toward the area with the indoor rooms, she slowed her pace enough to make sure he was beside her. She wasn't really in that much of a rush, her hands weren't completely frozen yet, anyway!
When he winked at her after saying he was looking forward to the match, she smirked, laughing a little. Soon they were landing near the door and she opened it, slipping inside quickly before shutting it behind Krys. "There, that's better." She leaned her broom against the wall and crossed back toward the locker room area, stopping in the doorway, "No one is here, you know, you could come with me," she smirked.
If this was her Hogwarts days the two would already be kissing by now. She was a little better at controlling herself as an adult around men. Plus, she couldn't just start snogging one of her bosses technically. No, she thought he was attractive but she would have to behave. Which was a shame.

@hadni YU Tag Elisa? Lol | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ Almost immediately after mentioning her parents, Kryss started to regret it. It seemed to hit a tender nerve, and her countenance dropped. He winced a little, biting his lip, and chastised himself for not watching his words more carefully. Just because he had always had a happy relationship with his mom and they had never seen hardship didn't mean that everyone was the same way. He wondered why she didn't mention her father. It really didn't bother him all that much truth told, though, and he decided not to inquire further. Why? Well, he completely understood an unwillingness or inability to talk about his dad. He had died before Kryss was born. Nice play, Roye. He thought sarcastically.
She wasn't frowning for long though and Krystopher promptly forgot his shame as they came to the edge of the pitch, and went inside. His wink made her laugh and chuckle and that made him hope that he had made up at least a little for his parents comment. The warmth of the indoors washed over him, and instinctively he shivered. Temperature changes like that always made his body react. Following Hadni halfway to the locker rooms, he hesitated near them, torn between going further or respecting the gender signs. Of course she immediately noticed his reluctance. "No one is here, you know, you could come with me," Kryss locked up for a few moments. "Well- er- maybe not-" He was raised to be respectful of the other gender and under no circumstances go in the ladies' bathroom. But presently he was able to collect himself, smile, and follow. "Alright." |

...
| ◀ | seeking for nothing ❤ She smiled a small sweet smile as he almost declined going into the locker rooms with her. It was pretty adorable how nervous he was in that moment. It really didn't matter, especially the fact that he almost stuttered in getting his words out. She coked an eyebrow at him until he was able to respond. "Good, I thought I'd lost you in the clouds for a second there," Hadni said with yet another wink as she slipped into the locker room, keeping the door open behind her.
Once in the room, she crossed over to her locker and opened it, searching for her gloves. "I know that they're in here somewhere-help me look?" she stopped looking for a moment and beckoned him over to her open locker. She was sure that would make him uncomfortable too, but it was cute making him squirm.

@hadni | ◀ | broom & bat & bludger ❤ Admittedly Kryss's steps were hesitant at first, and he found himself looking around one more time to make sure that no one was watching. Thankfully no one was. It was only then that he finally crossed the threshold, and made sure that the door fully closed behind him.
It immediately hit him how different the women's locker room looked and smelled from the men's. The men left behind all stink, a pungent mix of body spray, sweat, BO, and leather. No amount of deodorizing spells would clear the air. This room, on the other hand, was slightly pungent- unavoidable, unfortunately- but any truly bad smell was covered up by a light, flowery aroma. This thought almost invaded his brain as he took a seat on a bench and watched Hadni dig through her locker for a minute or two. "I know that they're in here somewhere-help me look?" Her voice jolted him out of his momentary stupor. "Oh, Sure!" He hopped up and went to help her, pulling up beside and sweeping his eyes over what he could immediately see. No gloves in sight. They must be buried, or misplaced. Only then did he notice how close he was to her. Hip-to-hip. His heart started to race a little- wether because of attraction, or nervousness, he didn't know. In any case, he didn't pull away immediately. He just smiled at her and kneeled a bit to sift through the things in the bottom of her locker.

| ◀ | seeking for nothing ❤ Hadni couldn't help but smile and admire how cute he was for being so embarrassed and amazed by the Womens Locker room. Suddenly, he was standing right next to her and looking into the locker. He wasn't touching anything though, which made her smile even more. He really was quite the gentleman wasn't he? Which would just make it even more inappropriate if she tried anything with him. But, feeling his body so close to hers, she wasn't sure if she could hold off much longer.
She realized she was looking at him when he smiled and started looking at the bottom of the locker. She shook off the butterflies in her stomach and kept searching toward the top. She found the gloves, but she didn't say anything right away. "Amazed at how clean we girls can be? It's pretty spectacular, right?" she giggled a little. She pretended to search for a little longer, before sighing and knowing she couldn't get away with the closeness much longer. She stepped away form the locker and held the gloves up in one hand, "Got em'.... should we head back outside?" a part of her didn't want to. Her hair was probably looking damp now from the melted snow. It was just so warm in here, especially when they were standing so close together.
