But it feels like I've opened my eyes again And the colors are golden and bright again There's a song in my heart, I feel like I belong 25 DECEMBER 2025 Once more, it was Christmas time, and it was weird to think that the year had flown by so quickly. It felt like they had already celebrated Christmas and the New Year, welcoming twenty-twenty-five into the world. And now, here they were again, getting ready to welcome a new year. It was weird to think that most of it was spent away from home, from her parents and sister. She had broken up with Liam earlier in the year because of a threat against her family and had abandoned London for a bit. However, her plans to return were destroyed when Hag's Fever stopped all travel. Once she was cleared to return home, she did so, but not without sadness in her heart. She had left her apartment with memories, and seeing them all broke her over and over again. It showed that her heart had not healed as she had hoped, but she was getting better with each passing day. Work was an amazing distraction, and now, the idea of spending time with her family was even better. She walked up the familiar pathway to her parent's home in London, taking the snow-covered steps before the door and knocking. Of course, she was forced to juggle the bag of presents in her hand to do so. The greeting her mother gave her upon open the door was filled with love and pity, but she welcomed the hug from her with a pained smile. She pulled back, allowing her mother to take the bag of gifts from her and led her into the den. Kissing her father on the cheek, she got herself comfortable on the sofa. "Is Tia coming?" she questioned; last she had heard, Tia had been trapped like she was. However, she hadn't heard if her twin had returned to London as she had. Her thoughts, and her parent's reply, was interrupted by a knock at the door. Tamara looked at her parents and smiled, standing to her full height, "I'll get it." With that, she left the den, heading towards the front door where she opened it to reveal her sister. She smiled at her before speaking, "Tia."MADE BY VEL OF GS

PARIS HAD BEEN GOOD FOR A WHILE. Tia had enjoyed being free of the pressure that was mounting for her in London. The attacks increasing, her anxiety flaring along with it. She'd gone to visit her muggle family in Paris to escape, but the emergence of Hag's Fever in the UK had trapped here there. Suddenly, her escape became her prison. She couldn't even go to help, having to transfer her mediwitch studies to the French Ministry in the meantime. Eventually, though, Tia had to go home.
Her mother had acted like she'd been gone for years when Tia had mentioned attending, if she could. Her excitement spilling over until Tia felt stifled. 'In time for Christmas!', they had exclaimed. Tia just wanted to go back to her flat and clear out the dust in her room. That was turning out to be far more difficult than she'd originally planned. Irina had done her best, but most of Tia's plants were in dire need of some love. Her mini jungle wilting in her absence. She hadn't seen her family since returning, a suitcase of family gifts dragged behind her, knocking tentatively. Better she get it over and done with.
"Oh-" Tia hiccupped, the door wrenching open to reveal her twin sister. Tamara's face was quite tanned, smiling widely. Tia knew she might look well, but she wasn't. Be it some identical twin bond, or just the knowledge that Liam was gone and Tamara was not with him. Tia had lost a friend, too, but Tam had lost the love of her life. "I didn't know you'd be home." She said curtly, rolling her suitcase of gifts in to the front hallway as she sidled past Tamara's frozen frame. "Frankly, I didn't know I'd be home until about a week ago." She sighed, shaking off the haze of a long day of travelling and magical testing. "Bonsoir!" She drawled sarcastically.

But it feels like I've opened my eyes again And the colors are golden and bright again There's a song in my heart, I feel like I belong Due to her breakup with Liam, Tamara had left behind her home to travel. She had started in Paris and ultimately made her way around Europe until she got trapped in Rome. Hag's Fever had been her downfall during her time away, trapping her in Rome and unable to return home. Luckily, The Daily Prophet was understanding and gave her some productive things to do while away from home, at least until she got the Fever herself. She hadn't gotten it as bad as many others had, at least, not that it sounded like. But she was down for the count for a bit. Her return to London wasn't long after that when the restriction was raised, and travel was no longer banned. Tamara was thankful for the ability to return home and to her job, especially with the holidays coming up. And that was ultimately granted her the ability to visit her parents for Christmas. However, she was unsure if her sister would come, having last heard that she traveled from home as she had. Was she still trapped? Or was she staying away. Before her parents could answer, though, she got the answer to her question when she opened the door and found her. Tia seemed surprised to see her, stating that she hadn't known that she would be home, adding that she wasn't sure if she would have been home until a week prior. Tamara smiled, "I didn't think you'd be back either. The minute restrictions were raised, I returned...though, Christmas in Rome does sound lovely," she said with a smile, closing the door after her sister moved past her. @tia ● sorry for the wait!
