Alexander stands at 5’9, a few inches shorter than his playby. He wears black, thick-framed glasses that frame his eyes. He tends to keep his hair just long enough to cover the right side of his forehead in order to conceal the scar he’s had since he was 6 years old. If you see Alex walking, you'll notice that he has a slight limp, though he tries his best not to make it obvious.

Listening to 'old' music on vinyl, i.e. The Pogues, The Smiths, etc., hiding in his bed and reading every sci-fi/fantasy novel he can get his hands on, sleeping whenever he can, comic books, video games, the dogs (Asterix and Ambre)
dislikes:
Having to go outside in the sun, getting dirty, the Owlery Tower for reasons, Jar Jar Binks (who does?), enclosed spaces, drunk drivers, people commenting on his limp, unsolicited hugserised:
Even though Alex loves his sister and brother-in-law, he desires more than anything for his parents to be alive again. He misses them and he feels like since he was only six when they died that their memories are fading. He fears that one day... he won't be able to remember them at all.amortentia:
Alex doesn't have a lot of goals apart from making it through this year.
Old books, vinyl, warm apple pie
boggart:
Being taken away from his brother-in-law Aymeric and his sister
Enclosed spaces
overall personality:
Intelligent - Alexander is very switched on, however it's important to note that most of his intelligence is book smarts. His street smarts are almost non-existent, due to him mostly keeping to himself. Alex is able to read anything and absorb it straight away, then regurgitate that information to whoever asks at a later date - not that he usually does.
Soft-spoken - Alex is best spoken to in one-on-one conversations. This is when you'll get the most words out of him. In group situations and classes, he tends to avoid talking at all - he doesn't like the attention being on him because it makes him very uncomfortable and he gets tongue-tied. A lot of this stems from being the second youngest of five and being constantly spoken over and spoken for.
Guarded - Alex is careful letting people get too close to him. He's had bad experiences with other children during his childhood where he's let them in on a secret and they've gone and told everyone. It's made him distrustful and afraid to let anyone in.
Tolerant - This is both a good and a bad trait of Alex's. He is pretty tolerant of most people - he doesn't care if someone is a magical being or a little bit quirky... he's fine with it. But unfortunately, Alex's tolerance of people also extends to bullies. If somebody is being nasty to him, Alex will just sit there and take the punches. He won't speak up for himself - his fight reflex is non-existent. If things become too much, he'll just sigh and walk away.
Awkward - In conjunction with being soft-spoken, Alex can also be extremely awkward when he doesn't know how to handle social situations. He's especially bad when it comes to giving out advice (hence why he's rarely sought out to give it) and when comforting upset people. He just... doesn't know how to. He'll give them a shoulder pat and say something unhelpful.
Appeaser - Even though I wouldn't say Alex strictly follows the rules (he sleeps in class, wanders out after curfew, etc.) he does try to cause the least amount of trouble for his family as possible. He doesn't want them to worry about him, especially when there's four other siblings who may need the help more. He tends to keep his troubles close to his chest so he doesn't cause any drama, but keeping them bottled up isn't proving to be healthy for him either.

history:
Alexander, born as the fourth child to his parents, had a very happy childhood during the first few years of his life. He spent a lot of time hanging about his siblings and was content just following their lead of what they wanted to do, even his younger brother's once he came along. Alex just wanted to be included and when he wasn't, he instead happily spent his time looking at whatever books his parents kept on the bookshelf - regardless of whether it was age-appropriate or not, he just liked the look of the pictures.site events reaction:
Unfortunately, things all changed for Alexander when he was six years old and his parents were driving home from a family friend's house after having dinner with them. It was only 9pm, but that didn't stop an older man who'd reportedly had a few too many after work from driving on the wrong side of the road. Alex remembers the headlights shining through the window, the panicked voice of his mother telling his father to 'WATCH OUT.' Not knowing what else to do, Alex's father swerved off the road sharply... and unfortunately, he crashed straight into a tree.
Alex's little legs had been resting on the back of his father's seat when they crashed and the sheer impact of the car colliding with the tree sent his father's seat smashing back against his legs. He remembers screaming out in pain and crying until everything went black. When Alex awoke, he was in the nearest muggle hospital and learned that he hadn't just hurt his leg, he'd torn many ligaments and actually broken his kneecap. It was severe enough that it required surgery. After the surgery, Alex did a lot of physical therapy to help heal but to this day, he still walks with a small limp that he's self-conscious about.
After his parents death, Alex moved in with his brother-in-law, Aymeric, and his oldest sister. Unlike some of his siblings who were lashing out after his parents death, Alex didn't say much. He didn't want to add to his sister's stress of having just taken legal guardianship of four kids, nor did he actually want to talk about it. It upset him too much. For a long time, after his parents death, Alex refused to go in a car - he'd make up every excuse in the world not to sit in one. He'd ask Meric or his older sister if they could please just apparate him to places instead. Eventually, he did have to ride in a car, but he still doesn't like to and it makes him antsy.
Alex's experiences at Hogwarts have been less than... pleasant. He may have lived with a pureblood since he was six years old, but that didn't make him any less of a muggleborn, to the disgust of many purists. The fact that he is quiet, reserved and considered to be a bit of a 'nerd' hasn't helped much either. As a result, Alex's friends are few and far between. He doesn't have anyone that he can really talk to about the deep stuff and again.
Although Alex has pretended he's been fine for the last few years, it's very far from the truth. He has a lot on his mind and nobody to share it with. Yes, he has four siblings but they have their own issues to deal with. He doesn't want to make them worry about him. Alex has felt incredibly lonely and helpless for the past few years and it really came to a head after he returned to Hogwarts for his fifth year. He almost did something stupid, up on the Owlery Tower, but fortunately he was talked down by another student.
Alex reads the newspaper and he's aware of what's going on in the world and, quite frankly, he's worried. He doesn't know what will happen next - if one of his siblings will be the next to get hurt. It keeps him up at night - well, that and his irregular sleep schedule - and he doesn't think he can cope losing another family member. When his honorary Uncle, Gus, was hospitalised with Hag's Fever, Alex was dreading the moment he got the news that Gus died. He was expecting the worst. Luckily, the worst didn't happen but he felt sick until Gus was finally out of St. Mungos and given the all clear.
