“Please do,” Fae stated rather sternly to Anastasia as she passed by the other woman on her way back towards the boat. That was out of character for her for sure. What else could she do though? Banging down the Minister’s door to try and get him to understand what this was clearly wouldn’t work. There were Ministry employees crawling all over the island already. It was too late for that. Going over everything again with the Council was really the only way she could get actual work done, along with researching more about the island. This was a problem that all of druid-kind needed to be working on jointly. Comparing oral tales of Yrisle and the fog, and digging into their records. She doubted the Ministry and mainlanders would have anything on it so it was basically up to her to prove that the island was not to be trifled with.
Walking past the werewolf, Fae waved off the offer for assistance. “I am fine, thank you.” The staff was keeping her steady despite the heaviness of the island pulling down on her. A creeping headache was starting to come on too, and she wondered if that was a side effect of her metamorphmagus ability changing constantly. If anything, she learned that the island played into innate magical powers like that. In a parallel universe where the island wasn’t a danger to all magic kind and she had the time to conduct actual research here, she’d want to see how seers and other magic folk reacted to the burst of power that came with stepping onto the island. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to be happening this time, and Fae doubted that she would make another trip back here until there was a way to make it go away. The first obstacle was Minister Krum. She was already starting to bounce around a plan in her head as she stepped back into the boat, finally free from the tendrils of Yrisle.
