overall personality:
Romilly is someone that you wouldn't really notice and when you do notice her.... you realize she'd a bit of a goof. She's a very nerdy person, who can socialize just fine.... if she knows you or you share the same interests as her. If you don't? She can be a bit awkward. She'd very nonconfrontational when it comes to people, so she often comes across as a "yes sir, whatever you say sir" type of person. She will say whatever she thinks will make you happy. She can get very, very, anxious when people get angry or upset around her.
Romily is a tinkerer. She likes to pull things apart, figure out how it works, and put it back together. She's very methodical, and works well with her hands. Though her methods may be.... mad. Very much organized chaos. But it all makes sense to her. Her anxiety, of course, also translates to this part of her as well. When people try to question what she's doing, why she's doing it, or when they try to move her stuff around in a more "organized" layout.
Romilly tends to hyperfocus and tunnel vision. She doesn't do it intentionally. She just... she can only focus on one thing at a time, and it's gotten to the extreme level. She will not hear you, see you, anything, if she's focused on something else.
Romilly is a mega klutz and extremely forgetful. She's like a fish out of water. She's the type that will trip on air and will try to get out of a car without taking off her seatbelt. The amount of accidents she's caused is just pathetic at this point. Thankfully she usually doesn't injure herself.... badly.

... Does her ant farm count..?history:
Romilly was born in Hawaii to a very successful and wealthy British businessman and his American wife. Due to work the couple had been living in Hawaii, though the father often had to travel for work. Her upbringing was rather normal, though definitely on the spoiled side. Because of her father's work the family made a very comfortable living.
Growing up, Romilly's parents never let her get "a pet", but they did settle for an ant farm. As a way to teach her some responsibility. Unfortunately they didn't realize just how obsessed she'd become with it. Those ants became her best friends growing up. They were something that helped calm her whenever the pressure from her father got to be too much. You see, her father had very high expectations for his children. HE was successful in a very respectable field. Likewise, he expected his children to be as well. While her brother thrived under that pressure, Romilly did not. She felt like the failure child. The one that could never do things right.
Attending Ilvermorny after turning 11 gave her some distance, but it didn't change her parents' expectations. She constantly got letters from them, demanding she work harder. Make connections. To cope, Romilly started to tinker. Taking things apart, putting it back together. IT was soothing. It helped settle her anxiety.
During her fifth year her father got an job at a big company back in his home country. Immediately he uprooted the family and moved them to the UK, forcing his children to transfer schools at the end of the year. To her own surprise Romilly was sorted into Ravenclaw during her Hogwart years.
Thankfully, she managed to graduate without too many issues. Though after graduating her father started to push on the pressure to get a job at his company and make a "respectable living". Instead, Romilly took a job offer at the Ministry. Oh, it was quite the scandal to her parents! Not that working at the ministry was bad, but the department. Maintenance and Supply. For some reason being a "maintenance worker" was shameful to her parents. THough it made her happy. Working with her hands, tinkering. IT was what she was good at.
She's been perfectly content in the job for many years..
site events reaction:
Romilly is in the ministry so she's definitely paid attention to the news and events though they havent' really played much a role in her life. Being in maintenance she isn't really in any position that's handling the events.
