overall personality:
Harry, though aging spectacularly, has not grown up entirely from the sarcastic, smart mouthed teen he once was. Having often flouted the rules, he tends to
do things his way. He can appreciate change, as long as it brings innovation with it. Harry has a serious saviour complex, and frequently does the wrong thing for the right reason. His reason for being is to protect his loved ones, for whom he will go great lengths.
Stubborn and somewhat hot headed, Harry has never been the voice of reason. He acts before thinking, and is thick enough to not understand consequences. But for all his faults, Harry is still an archetypal hero. He is fiercely loyal to his friends and family, braving high stakes for their protection above his own. His sense of adventure is boundless, even after all this time. Harry is not one to turn away from a challenge, and is fearless where others might be afraid.
Since the birth of his children, Harry found the paternal trait locked somewhere deep inside him.n He cares very much for the younger generation of his family, and definitely treats Lily like a princess even though she's repeating seventh year. He tries to be a stern, yet kind and understanding father but certainly makes many mistakes given that

For the full story of Harry's formative years, please see JK Rowling's published works.
After the defeat of Voldemort, Harry felt a weight lift off him. Rather than feeling like his whole life was leading up to that point, he felt instead like a whole new world had opened up. One free of weight and death and loss. Harry and his best friend Ron enrolled in a jump-start auror training programme while Hermione returned to Hogwarts to complete her final year of study. Harry quickly rose through the ranks of the training programme, while Ron decided to instead work with George on the joke shop. Shortly after completing the training programme, Harry married his school sweetheart, Ginny Weasley. She was ferocious and level-headed, the perfect balance to his sometimes out of control nature. The pair brought forth three children into the world, each precious and very well loved (though some badly named).
Harry expected much of his children, though he was more forgiving with them than he was many others. Harry tried to give them what he had never really had - a stable family life. Wishing to live a life without drama (he'd had quite enough of that as a teen), Harry typically let Ginny play as the bad cop for their children. He worked hard as an auror, becoming the youngest head of the auror department in half a century. He spent time with his family, his friends, and his colleagues, leading the simple life he had always dreamed of.
Shortly after his children had gone off to Hogwarts, (James and Lily in Gryffindor and Albus in Slytherin) strange things started happening. His scar hadn't twinged in years, and thankfully, it seemed nothing to do with a resurgence of Slytherin blood. However, Harry couldn't deny that he was constantly on edge. From muggleborn attacks to disappearances, things started to seem like they were following a pattern that had been laid out years before.
After coming out of hiding, Harry purchased a small country pub in Godric's Hollow, renaming it the Hounds and Harriers. He wanted to continue the image of the simple life he had dreamed of, and word spread quickly that stories long and short could be heard at the Hounds and Harriers, with its warming winter fires, massive windows and heated garden. Harry spends much of his time at the pub when he is not trying to make his disappearance up to his family, or meeting with various other members of wizard-kind to gather intel. Just in case.

That evil revealed itself first in summer of 2022, when the Minister, Kingsley Shacklbolt, was murdered. Things seemed to spiral our of control after that. The aurors became restless and the new Minster, Reynold Cain, was horrible 'Fudge-like'. He wouldn't let the aurors go out and investigate as much as they should have been. However, in December of 2022, he was killed too. So, that left the Ministry with an empty spot and no one who wanted to take it- until Victoire.
His niece Victoire asked him to back her up in running for Minister and it only took two months to get her in the spot. As worried as he was for her safety, he felt this was the best course of action. At least someone trustworthy would be in the role, and he'd done astonishing things in his younger years. Meanwhile, a muggleborn girl was killed on the Hogwarts Express that September, his own son James finding the body. Andrew, a Ravenclaw fifth year, was also killed. He quickly reassembled the DA, or the Order. He would crush this threat before it grew too large. The issue is, he didn't know who was behind it. He had no clues. And as luck would have it, Lily was bitten by a werewolf soon after. Having no prior inclination to distrust werewolves, Harry did his best to make his daughter comfortable and had Hermione brew her a wolfsbane potion every month, perfectly, as only aunt Hermione could.
To top all that off, Ginny lost her memories in a battle with two dark men. They took all her memories after the battle of Hogwarts. Their marriage, their kids, her career, gone. Harry almost disappeared completely then, but he knew he had to be the one to keep his head on straight. He tried, it was hard, but he tried. Things seemed all right, for a while, until the first of April. Thirteen students were kidnapped right out of the school. Harry was present, and he killed many of the men in masks that had come, but he didn't save everyone. He still holds himself accountable for their deaths, and wears their names on his heart.
The children were found not long after, though, thankfully. The year went on, and his son James graduated. Meanwhile, Harry's stress and temper seemed to take a victim in his son Albus. They had always butted heads, but never like this. Harry didn't know how to mend it, still doesn't. He felt like his family was falling apart just like the wizarding world, and he had no control over any of it. And though he knew that someone else was the root of the problem, Harry's short fuse didn't extend far enough to encompass Elaine. Summer came, and it was announced that the Tri-Wizard tournament was coming back, right on schedule, to Hogwarts this fall.
Harry had been vocal about his disapproval of reinstating the tournament. After all, a student had died last time, and Lord Voldemort had risen again. His pleas fell on death ears, and Harry was unsurprised and devastated at the carnage after the final task. He had tried to warn them that it was a bad idea, he and Hermione both and yet they had been ignored. Pushing aside the desire to shout that he had told them as much, Harry participated in the relief effort for grieving families. But a weight started to settle on him again. Something that hadn't happened for more than a decade.
With darkness falling across Britain, it seemed only natural that a new threat should shake wizarding kind. A resurgence of witch-hunters, with vile weapons and determination to boot, sought the Chosen One and he knew they would not rest until he was dead. It was time for him to lay low. Harry couldn't tell anyone of his plans, but plotted to 'lose' his wand in the forest and have the entire wizarding world presume he was dead. Harry knew it wasn't the right decision - it certainly hadn't been the easiest decision either. But this was a matter of life or death, and he wasn't about to put his family at risk for his own sake.
Harry watched from afar as danger and turmoil swept through the wizarding world, from dragons to a mass breakout from Azkaban to reports of his own death tearing society apart. He wanted to hold Ginny, to kiss her sweet lips and tell her everything would be okay. But this was turning into war, and Harry knew this was the best way to protect his family.
At long last, the resurgence of witch hunters died out and in February 2025, Harry deemed it safe enough to return to his family home. Ginny had given him major grief for abandoning her like that, but upon explanation of his actions, Harry was forgiven by the love of his life, and for the most part his children. He knew he had a lot of making up to do for them. He managed to track down his wand, or rather the other way around as the wand chooses the wizard.
Ginny and Harry had made plans to attend the Quidditch final, but these plans were derailed after a counselling session couldn't be rescheduled. Agony didn't cover the feeling of learning Hermione, the voice of reason, the voice of truth and goodness, had perished. Harry could have been there to save her, if only he'd put her before his own needs. For weeks, Harry was a shell of himself, hiding himself away at his pub and losing himself in the stories other people told him. He liked to listen, to polish glasses and forget about all the death and loss he had suffered in his life.
Things seemed to be slowly calming down in the Wizarding World as 2025 wore on. The death of minister Granger had worn heavy on everyone, and it seemed the universe was willing to accept defeat for the time being. But as all things do, this could not last long. In the dead of winter, a mysterious location appeared. It turned out to be Yrisle, his sources told him. Harry explicitly forbade any of the Potter children (and Ginny) from visiting the island, promising to release his ire if they countered him.
