For some reason, Deva was incredibly nervous. She'd invited both Bjorn and Fee over so the two might meet. Since Fee was one of her closest friends she really hoped that she and Bjorn would be getting along. The idea her best friend wouldn’t get along with her boyfriend was ghastly. She knew many of her friends disapproved of the relationship she’d had with Rhys and it hadn’t really made things easier so she really hoped that Fee and Bjorn would actually get along. Considering how much of a gentleman Bjorn could be (when he wanted to be) she didn’t expect any trouble but she was still fussing a lot. She looked at the laminated 10 year plan she’d had on her fridge for years now to remind herself of what she was working towards in her life. There were still a few faint traces of markers from the nights she’d lost hope and scribbled on adjustments. So far there was nothing to suggest that the plan was impossible. It would just likely end on the longer term as it seemed madness to expect the shorter term goals by now. She wriggled her nose and shrugged, ignoring the plan since it didn’t actually need any adjustments. So far she still was far from her deadlines. She sighed and once again wiped down the table and checked the kettle to make sure the water was warm so she could serve the both of them a cup of tea or coffee the moment they arrived. She was completely driving herself insane of course but in her mind there was pressure on this to go well. She desperately wanted Bjorn and Fee to get along after all. Ophelia Mae Teller @bjorn

Deva introducing him to people in her life was not an every day occurrence. Sure, they'd been seeing each other for a few months now, but that just hadn't been something she did often. So, Bjorn knew he should be on his "best behavior". It also helped that, after the events of the week before he was recovering. While the poison was out of his system, it had taken a few days to finally get off of best rest and get back to work, though he had to take it pretty easy.
Part of taking it easy currently, meant spending a few days with Deva instead of on the ship. He'd slept in a little for once, then went about some of his usual business, before taking a shower. He'd just gotten dressed, and stepped out into the living room when he saw her finicking with her kettle and cleaning more. As if her place wasn't already spotless. He ran a hand through his damp hair, pulling it back into a loose bun, and approached her. "Stop fretting," he ordered gently, putting a hand on her lower back to nudge her away from the kettle.
(I'mma just say Bjorn is already there )

Ophelia was excited to finally meet Bjorn. She had liked Rhys as a person, but had personally felt he was using Deva for physical reasons, so she was relieved Deva had been swept away by a sailor that made her forget all about the Greyback boy. She also knew Deva would be incredibly nervous, so she had brought a bottle of rum that was apparently Deva’s new favorite so she’d feel a little better. Ophelia mostly liked anyone as long as they were nice, and from what she had told her about Bjorn, he treated her well. That was what was important to Ophelia. She rang the bell, knowing she was a few minutes late. Deva appreciated promptness, but Ophelia never managed to be directly on time for anything anyway; it had always been like that. Deva had the ten year plan, Ophelia had the ‘let’s take it day by day and see where life goes’ plan. When the door opened, she smiled widely, noting the very tall man inside that must have been Bjorn. “Hi Deva, I brought you a present,” she said, hugging her friend before handing the bottle of rum to her. She walked in and made a beeline for Bjorn. “Hi! I’m Ophelia Teller, and you must be the sailor Deva’s been talking about so much,” she told him giddily, extending her hand for him to shake. Normally, Ophelia would have gone in for a hug, but she honestly didn’t know what to expect from Bjorn, so she kept it a little more formal. @deva @bjorn

Deva smiled as Bjorn got out of the shower and came her way, although it was a nervous smile at first. He put is hair up and she bit her lip slightly. The sight of him running his hand through his hair? Well it was alluring to her. She wiped down the table (again) as he walked over and put a hand on her back, telling her to stop fretting. She pouted slightly as she wrapped her arms around him, putting the cloth on the table. "I clean when I'm nervous." She said, fairly certain he'd noticed. "It helps me relax." That and also cleaning when she was in a good mood or just when things needed to be tidied up had led her to even start cleaning on his ship on occasion. Even though she tried to avoid it there she still couldn't always help herself. It was almost a compulsion more than a habit. She then kissed him shortly and fondly before taking the kettle off the fire and bringing it to the salon table. The water would probably still be hot when Fee arrived. The bell rang and Deva instantly rushed to the door, opening it and giving her friend a hug. She beamed brightly and smiled in excitement as she was handed the bottle of rum. Last time Fee had been over the two girls had made a bit of a dent in Deva's alcohol supply. It was nice that she had at least one more bottle again. She glanced at the label for a moment as Fee almost rushed over to Bjorn. Deva bit her lip for a moment as she closed the door and tried to stay calm. She just wanted them to get along and while there was no reason to worry, naturally Deva did. She walked over to put the alcohol in the cubboard and then looked at her best friend and her boyfriend, smiling slightly and hoping the introductions were going to go well. She hadn't really mentioned the fact he wasn't so much a sailor as a pirate to Fee since she wasn't sure if Fee would appreciate her dating a pirate and she certainly hadn't told her family but she figured sailor was close enough. Well, sailor and captain of his own ship. She walked up to the pair. "Would you like a cup of tea Fee? I have some ready in case you want any..." If Fee didn't want any she was still taking one herself. She knew she needed it to calm her nerves down, even if she had no reason to be nervous at all. @bjorn Ophelia Mae Teller

Bjorn smiled down at Deva as she turned and put her arms around him, justifying her cleaning as helping her 'relax'. "It's already clean," he reminded her, as if to void her statement of cleaning when nervous. There wasn't anything to clean, as nothing was dirty! Though, it was a rather harmless habit of hers, so he'd try not to complete.... too much. He kissed her back as she moved closer to him, before reluctantly letting her go as she finally reached for the kettle. At least she wasn't fussing over it anymore and instead taking it to the table.
A moment later and there was the door bell. He sighed, running a hand over his facial hair to catch any stray hairs that might be going off in a random direction, and stood up straight. He didn't often intentionally try to make a good first impression but this was clearly something Deva felt strongly about. So, he'd oblige her. She wanted him to be a gentleman and meet her best friend? He'd do it for her. As she knew, he could be charming... when he wanted.
Though, much to his surprise after a brief greeting between the girls this friend had come rushing to him. Well, clearly someone was excited. Bjorn put on his most charming smile and reached out to take her offered hand. Instead of shaking it though he held it out, bending down so he could kiss her hand lightly, before letting her hand go. "All good things, I hope," he answered simply, still smiling. "I am Bjorn, Bjorn Krok. Deva did not tell me she had such lovely friends. It is a pleasure to meet you." Okay, he might be laying out the gentleman act a little thick... but hey, Deva wanted him to make a good first impression! Who was he to deny what his love wanted?

Ophelia laughed and gave Deva a look saying ‘nicely done’ over Bjorn’s shoulder. “Of course all good things, unless there are some bad things I should be made aware of?” she replied, pretending to give him a serious look. “ I have to make sure my best friend is well cared for after all,” she added. Especially after Rhys. She liked Rhys a lot actually, as an individual, but with Deva….it had just been a hot mess. Every time she thought Deva had gone off him, all of a sudden she had slept with the Greyback boy again. She supposed there was something to be said for his looks and charm, but he made Deva cry a fair amount of times, and Ophelia was not one to stand for that. “Well, here we all are, and just in time for tea it seems? I brought biscuits; my mothers own recipe,” Ophie declared, holding out the tin box of freshly baked cookies. She had heard the kettle whistling just before she knocked; Deva was never one to put the kettle on AFTER the guests had arrived. “They’re shortbread but with caramel and toffee bits baked in; my mother used to make them all the time when she had guests for tea,” she explained to Bjorn, who would not know of Lydia Tellers famous shortbread biscuits. She smiled at the memory, glad that she could smile now instead of feeling a sharp pain jab at her insides. Her world had been very dark indeed when her mother died, as she was sure Deva remembered all too well. Now the darkness came when she thought about her unborn child, and the new knowledge that someone had muddled with her memories; she pushed that thought down though. She would not think of her daughter today. @deva @bjorn

Of course Bjorn had to mention the fact that the house was in fact, spotless. There was no stain, no spot of dust anywhere and her house looked at meticulous as always, no doubt perfectly capable of featuring in a living magazine at first sight. The slighest signs of use were acceptable of course, as long as they were active signs of use rather than passive. Cups on the table with liquid in them was fine but as soon as they were empty it was either prudent to refill them or place them in the dishwasher. It was highly improbable that anybody would ever manage to catch her unware to the point her house would not be in pristine condition. Well, as long as they came while Bjorn wasn't around. The moment he arrived the house looked like an actual house that had somebody living in it. She'd tried for about a day and a half the first time he'd been over to keep the place up to her normal meticulous standard but between his distractions and the fact he was a man of the sea she'd found it rather impossible. Cups stood in places other than the cupboard or dishwasher and paperwork was not instantly put into it's rightful place. The pots and pans at times stood on the kitchen counter most of the night before she got around to cleaning them and not every single door was closed unless in use. All in all, it was a home when he was around. Not that it had stopped her from cleaning today. So by the time Fee arrived the house was spotless (apart from that one rag she hadn't managed to put in the laundry bin yet) and the water for tea was on the table. As Fee gave her a wordless compliment over Bjorns shoulder, Deva waggled her eyebrows at her friend almost as if to say 'I know!' before she joined the two and watched, melting a little, as Bjorn greeted her friend like the utmost gentleman she knew he could be. Then Fee mentioned the biscuits and Deva got a hungry look in her eyes that intensified as she mentioned they were exactly Deva's favourite cookie ever. "I hope you made sure to magically lock those somehow because you know I can't eat only one." Deva said with a big smile as she poured all of them water for tea. It was nice to see Fee smile at the mention of the cookies rather than have that sadness in her eyes she'd had when they were younger. Deva couldn't imagine what it was like, losing ones mother at a young age, or any age at all. She still had both her parents after all. "Oh Fee, if you have a moment I can show you some of the new clothes I've been working on? I haven't had quite as much spare time as usual but I managed with a few ideas." She said with a happy twinkle in her eyes. Since Fee was a part time seamstress and Deva also loved making clothes the two had certainly bonded over that during their school days.
