Feb, 5th Every day was up and down and on and off and Vic was tired, always tired. She wanted to get into the Order and help out there, she wanted a career again, she wanted to explore and research and do cool things but she was just so tired. She had a plan though, slowly but surely she'd become more of a bookworm and be useful in that way, maybe head up some experiments or something. It had been about one month since she left Heliopath and Vic didn't really feel like seeing a lot of people this month, but she had finally invited Teddy over for a visit. She had cleaned the whole apartment and then was too exhausted to make dinner, so she ordered in. She was hoping her and Teddy could take a walk or do something fun. Man, it would be so nice if they could go clubbing or something, but that all depending on how her energy was. She sat on the couch and side, glass of wine in hand. She stared at it and then set it down without taking a sip. At least she had taken the time to get ready. Teddy was someone who wouldn't care, but she did. She liked looking nice for people she cared about, showing a little effort. When she heard the knock on the door she was opening it in seconds. @edward

@victoire it had killed him that he hadn't been able to see vic over the last month. he'd given her the space he knew she'd needed but it had been hard not to go see her. he had to keep reminding himself that he had someone else, that he would be there for her and that she needed time but it hadn't stopped him wanting to be there for her. he'd never stop wanting that. so when he'd got the message that he'd been waiting for he sent her an owl back telling her that he'd be over the moment he got out of work. he'd been pulling extra shifts and working as much as he could since he'd left the order. it had felt right at the time and he didn't think he'd made the wrong choice. he was mad, he was angry and that wasn't the right headspace to be in a group that was supposed to be helping the world. he'd been trying to feel differently, to change the current narrative but he couldn't. he had this anger that was simmering beneath the surface, this hopelessness that everything was falling apart and there was nothing he could do to keep his life from imploding.
he had decided to push all that out of his mind for the night though. the last thing vic needed was to see him stumbling. she didn't need that right now. what she needed was a strong shoulder to lean on and he'd always be that for her. he'd become something of an expert at pushing things down over his life. it was a system that had been working up until recent months and he didn't see why he couldn't go back to that. he did one last mental shake as he walked up to the door that vic was behind. he almost reached for the door handle again but he stopped himself at the last moment and he raised his fist, rapping it against the wood a few times and he waited for her to open the door. he smiled when he saw her as she opened the door and he couldn't help himself, he stepped forward to envelope her in a hug, wrapping his arms around her as tightly as he could without hurting her. "hey you."

His arms around her made her feel like she melted. "Hug me like you mean it, you dork," she chastised him squeezing him hard. She finally released him, but slid her hands down his arms and into his palms to clasp them, "do you want to get out of here?". Her voice was low and intense, which was a sound he would have been used to hearing before. When Vic got something in her head it was hard to stop her from going through with it. She was worried about her energy at first, but upon seeing her closest friend and feeling his arms around her she knew that she could go out if he wanted to. She walked away from him, releasing his hands in order to cross back to her glass of wine, which she picked up and took over to the kitchen. She didn't want to seem like she was in a rush, but since she had the energy she didn't want to waste it. @edward

@victoire he couldn't help but laugh softly as she told him to hug her like he meant it. he couldn't help it, there was some innate instinct within him to do nothing to hurt her and that was strong right now. he did however tighten his hold on her when she told him to. he held her close and his arms squeezed around her, as it scared to let her go, lest she slip through his fingers. he couldn't lose her. they might not be a couple anymore but he wouldn't survive losing her, he was certain of that.
he held onto her hands when she took his and he nodded a little. "yeah let's go paint the town red." he said, his voice soft. he wouldn't fight her on this. she wanted to get out while she felt good and while he wanted to talk her into a quite night on the couch, he wouldn't try and change her mind. he wanted what was best for her and what was best for her right now was to see her smile. he followed her to the kitchen and watched her down the wine, smiling a little. "well some things never change." he teased her.

Vic was relieved that Teddy agreed to go out. She was worried he would suggest that maybe she wasn't ready for it or that she was too weak. It wasn't like Teddy to say something like that, but Victoire always felt a little bit distressed when she was weak and worried that others thought her the same way. Teddy was never one to question her choices unless he really truly thought she should take a moment to reconsider. Now that they were friends without a romantic connection, she hoped he would still have the guts and the caring to tell her when he thought she was doing something wrong.
After she downed the wine and he said some things never change Victoire let out a genuine laugh, happy for a reason to do so. "You know me," she said proudly. "Just give me one second," She ran back to the bedroom and quickly tossed her hair up in a high ponytail on the top of her head and threw on a black dress with sheer leggings underneath and high heels.
She stepped out into the living room and grabbed her dark green leather jacket from off the back of a chair, slinking her arms through it until the jacket was into place. Finally she looked over at Teddy, "ready?" She asked, heading towards the door. "Maybe we should hang out in muggle London for a few hours," she suggested. "I'm not really sure if I want to run into anyone right now, you know?"
