Charlotta had lost sight of Emrys and she did not like it. The boy was talented, no doubt about it. But unfortunately his talent wasn't just musical. No, he's become far to adept at finding trouble. The worst part? He enjoyed it too much. Emrys lived in the moment, to hell with the consequences. Just like her brother, Emrys' father. Curse these Holopainen men. Why couldn't they keep their noses out of trouble?
Charlotta searched the ballroom, though she found Emrys' bodyguard before him. So, she sent him after his wayward ward. She'd spotted sight of someone in a very short dress not to long ago and she had a strong suspicion on where Emrys had run off to... And if involved someone Charlotta much preferred her nephew avoid. But at least it gave the bodyguard a lead. After sending the man, she decided to wait. There were paparazzi and other musical artists here. The last thing they needed to know was that Emrys had taken off, and would likely stir up some new scandal before the night was over. Instead, she took a deep breath and moved to one of the waiters to retrieve a glass of champagne. She wished her wife were here, the woman always had a way of calming Charlotta's nerves when Emrys fried them. But alas, her wife had decided to stay home tonight, letting Charlotta deal with the news feeding frenzy.
She took a sip from the glass, eyes scanning the crowd.

What would Christmas be without an outrageously lavish party to attend? Alix lived for the perks of being a super star's little sister - not that her life would have been terribly different as they were a well off family anyway but Gus made the crowd significantly more entertaining than the crowd at stuffy, formal pureblood parties like those her father was more accustomed to requesting her company for. Ew, Alix shuddered at the thought of the sit down affair she had declined in favour of this rocking party for. Her ridiculously high heels made the housekeeping staff - or were they elves? Who knew? Who cared? - they made their teeth grind with every little jump, twirl or step because there was no doubt that there'd be damage from the stiletto in the morning. Her dress was on point, if Alix did say herself, having favoured one that showed off almost the entirety of her delicious back, whilst pretending to be all demure at the front. Whilst the black fabric came all the way to her neck, it barely covered her derriere and if she moved a certain way... well, more than one person had asked her how exactly her dress defied physics and stayed on her body. 'Magic,' was always her response. Such was the discussion - rather an interesting excuse for the other person to run their fingertips down the sides of the fabric tantilizingly down Alix's back - that she was enjoying when Charlotta walked past. It didn't take a genius to know what the poor woman was doing and Alix couldn't help her small shudder as fingertips began to trace along the small of her back. "Charlotta, do stop searching for Emrys - if only for a moment. He's no doubt nose deep in his newest contest, surely you don't want to catch him like that?" Alix stepped away from her very friendly... friend as if it was a casual conversation she'd finished and turned her intense gaze on the woman. She couldn't help but think she'd quite enjoy ... "Oh, careful, if you come any closer you'll be obliged to give me a kiss," Alix said with all the cheekiness of a slutty elf, her plump lips pulling into a playful smile. She pointed upwards to draw attention to the twig of Holly floating above them, just to show she was actually an angel and not a homewrecker. "I'll come to you, if you promise to share one festive drink while we search for your wayward artist?"@charlotta

Charlotta hated how easily Emrys could get into trouble. Her nephew cared little for consequences, nor did he even think of them or consider them. As had long been established he preferred to live in the present, and left Charlotta to worry about his future. All he truly cared bout was being able to do what he wanted, when he wanted. Thus, it fell on his aunt to ensure that he could do exactly that as long as he wanted. That, of course, meant ruining his fun at times. Like she was sure she'd be having to do at some point tonight.
She took a long sip from the champagne glass when she heard someone say her name. The woman stopped and turned to the owner of her voice. Ah. Alix Courtemanche, the younger sister of Auguste Courtemanche. Another musician making ripples in the musical world. And, unfortunately, someone that always posed problems when Emrys was around. But to be honest who wasn't trouble around Emrys? Nah, Auguste was a different kind of trouble. He gave Emrys ideas of how to be flamboyant and extra. While Charlotta could see Auguste's talent, and of course wanted him at her own label, she didn't like the idea of him and Emrys being around each other. At the words of "catch him like that" she frowned. Because that just opened up a can of worms in her mind. Like the time she'd found out about how Auguste and Emrys had been far to frisky in her own soundbooth. "I'd rather catch him then let one of these vultures find him first," she answered slowly. Charlotta was usually more candid with people that understood the business. If it had been someone unfamiliar with the label, she would have immediately jumped to Emrys' defense. But it was true. If she found him first she could hopefully prevent a scandal with that scantily clad young woman she'd seen earlier...
Alix, must have had a few drinks, or perhaps she took after her brother, by flirting just a little with Charlotta. In response though, Charlotta smirked. "I'm sure your friend there would be very eager to step under the mistletoe with you," she retorted. Charlotta, of course, was married and had no plans on changing that any time soon. But in her world she dealt with quite a bit of flirting, so she often just brushed it off. Though at the offer for assistance, if she shared a drink, Charlotta flashed a smile. She was, of course, a business woman at heart. Accepting drinks was second nature, plus she'd already finished the champagne she'd been drinking a moment before. "Perhaps your presence will be beneficial.and you can lure him away from whatever scandal he's walking himself into. No doubt you've had plenty of practice with your brother." She turned her head, searching for a waiter, and motioned him over when she spotted one. She gave him the empty champagne glass and took two full ones from him. She turned back to Auguste's sister and held out one of the glasses.

The idea of catching Emrys in a compromising situation was, honestly, quite hot. Alix was not opposed to some light voyeurism after all - maybe it was what made her a very effective psychiatrist? Now that was an idea to explore when Alix wasn't in such pleasant looking company. Her lips pulled into an understanding smile when Charlotta replied that she'd rather catch him than the vultures because there was an unequivocal truth to the statement. For all the fame that her brother enjoyed, that Alix enjoyed to a certain degree living off his coat-tails... they lived amongst veritable lions that would not hesitate to rip her brother to pieces the moment he showed weakness. For someone with a history of mental illness both familial and personal, had Alix any say in it she would've advised her brother against such an industry before he started. Not that he'd listen.
"Hmmm, you've a point," Alix conceded, tilting her head in the slightest of nods. In her mind, though, she'd love to point out that Charlotta may very well be part of Emrys' determination to be the little rebel starlet. Just like any child, he knew just how much attention he was getting both from his conquests and the woman that cared and looked out for him. Charlotta might be doing her utmost to protect the little shit out of love and business needs but Alix was sure there was a subconscious need for Emrys to make sure his aunt kept almost all attention on him. Not that she'd tell them or that she really cared for the psycho-analysis right now.. honestly! She closed her eyes to revel in the brief sensual touch of her friend and bring her back to the present.
"Oh I've no doubt; alas we've already done so, haven't we, gorgeous?" Alix's tongue slipped over her lips, remembering the delicious taste of her friend thanks to the festivities. She grinned, looking from her friend to Charlotta, her teeth flashing under the Christmas decorative lighting. "I am but a slave to Christmas traditions such as these," she lamented, shrugging as if she didn't care all that much if she did or did not get a kiss from the beautiful blonde before her. Trust when Roo says she cared.
"I would lure your nephew with a much different bait than I've ever tried with my brother, let me assure you," Alix said with an easy laugh. "Let's face it, Emrys is particularly easy to... distract and entice." She wouldn't admit that she had ever tried particularly hard to keep Auguste out of trouble - it went against her nature to deny people their dignity of risk. He wouldn't listen with is big brother arrogance let alone his stardom. However, Alix would always be there to help him pick up the pieces if he wanted her to. "Merci, Charlotta," she said with a gracious smile as she delicately took the glass from the woman.
"By the way, my presence is always beneficial. Speaking of presence... where is your stunning wife this evening?"

To be honest, Charlotta knew she'd played at least a partial role in Emrys'.... antics. She herself had had a very wild musical career. She hadn't really "settled down" until a few years ago, when she and her wife had begun seriously discussing starting their own record label. Then, you factored in Emrys' father (Charlotta's brother) and the poor boy was basically screwed. But that was also why she was so determined to stop him now. She'd personally seen the trouble one could get into. She wasn't good with paparazzi because she was naturally gifted. No, it was because she'd had to learn how to get out of her own scandals. Though unfortunately Emrys did not have the personality to learn that skill on his own. They often spoke about how he only lived in the moment and she had to live in the future, but it was very true. She had to look out for his future because he couldn't. "I'm sure you'd feel similarly if your brother was currently up to no good," she spoke. Though, thankfully, Auguste's scandals had been quite minimal of late. A fact she liked to credit his girlfriend for.
The man was still lurking about, no doubt infatuated by Alix's charm and hoping for much more then a simple mistletoe kiss. An idea that Alix was clearly not trying to dissuade him from thinking. But if Alix was going to join Charlotta on her search, the pest would have to go. Charlotta eyed the gentlemen coldly after Alix's words. "You can leave now," she commanded, her tone changing quite a bit as she addressed the stranger, daring him to disobey. His presence was a hassle and annoyance.
Charlotta turned her gaze back to Alix and smirked. "I would hope so," she answered. At the comment of Emrys' traits Charlotta rolled her eyes, though couldn't deny them. It was like calling the sky blue, Emrys chased anything that was willing. "A fact that I'm well aware of and frustrates me every day, I can assure you."
At the mention of her wife Charlotta raised her fresh glass to her lips and took a sip. Only after did she deign to answer. "At home with the little one," she answered. It was well known in the musical industry that Charlotta and her wife had adopted a newborn in the fall. "Unfortunately one of us still had to represent the label and the task fell upon me." Though, it was also a matter of avoiding the in-laws. Charlotta had much thicker skin when it came to dealing with her wife's family. Should the homophobic Rosier parents make an appearance at tonight's festivities it would save Charlotta's wife the heartache of hearing their arrogance and hate.

Focus, Alix had to remind herself as Charlotta began to speak. Was the woman aware that her lips moved in a way that could send tingles down a person's spine? Maybe it was Alix' tipsy imagination, though knowing Charlotta had experience using them on a woman just added to the ... distraction. Je me concentre, Alix's brow furrowed just in time to make it look like it was in reply to Charlotta's assertion that she'd care if it were her brother to the vultures. Her gaze rose from those sensual lips to the eyes that felt like they could see into her soul and Alix nodded, ever so slowly. She didn't feel brave enough to point out that unlike Emrys, her brother was... smart. Got into most of his own trouble at home. Her heart also stung at a thought that passed through her mind, an unspoken reply to Charlotta. Gus wouldn't listen to me, even if I were begging him off the ledge.
To hide her painful, internal thought on such a wondrous occasion, Alix took a big gulp of the new drink held between her fingers. "I can almost guarantee you, his name is Gus Courtemanche and he will definitely be up to no good," she recovered, not quite as quick as she'd have liked but well enough. "Look, I definitely understand how you feel and why you need to get him to his own bed, safe and sound. Don't worry, Charlotta," Alix smiled sweetly. Emrys was her family. Emrys was her asset. So Alix understood her protective desires were even stronger than usual. It was... hot.
When Charlotta dismissed her friend, Alix gave them a playful pout and then a sexually suggestive squish of the toosh as they departed. "Well, now you've got me all to yourself," Alix purred, stepping up to loop her arm through Charlotta's super casually. That smirk that the blonde sent her way after she mentioned the bait she'd use on Emrys.. briefly Alix mind realised that it probably wasn't great to talk about how she'd happily bed the woman's nephew when she was flirting really quite terribly with the aunt but... that was a web she'd rather not get stuck in so she turned her mind instead to the pleasant sensation of Charlotta's arm in her own. "I don't like the idea of you being so frustrated," Alix said, earnestly. The other woman could take that however she wanted - they were all probably true.
The little one. Ugh. Lady boner killer, that was. Alix's smile did not falter though and she laughed easily. No doubt her companion knew that it would temper Alix's flirtation. Touché. "Oh! Yes, you'll have to forgive me - the bubbly's a bit stronger than I thought - how is the petit bébé? Motherhood appears to agree with you," Alix replied cheerfully enough as she began to move in the direction that Emrys probably went in ... towards the more private areas of the party. Hopefully. "Aw, the task is not all bad, surely? You get to enjoy some good music and even better company," Alix said with a demure smile, giving the arm looped in her own a playful squeeze. "Besides, who's the better nephew hunter, you or the wife?"
