It’s tough to choose which Si to write about. Do I talk about the Sienna whose number one concern is her friends, ensuring that everybody she cares about is happy? Do I discuss the mad scientist, who’s bonkers about potions and inventing new brews? Do I attempt to explain the Si that, after being “invited” into the magical world as a Muggleborn, decided to appreciate the beauty and fight against the injustice? But Jenny, how can one character be all these things? Easy – she’s a person with real emotions and sometimes conflicting influences. AKA a real person. The Sorting Hat should be glad it never had to go up against her.

No, what it’s about is taking something that already exists, deep deep inside, and helping that element achieve it. Really, helping it become the gold it already is. And that is what Hazel is all about! Finding ugly things, seeing their potential, and making them beautiful. Her very first project was herself, and look how well that turned out! Besides that? Hazel is spiritual, believes deeply in Divination and things that were just meant to happen, and she loves to have her fun and just enjoy life! Oh yeah, and she’s also a very traditional blood purist. You know, magic good/Muggles ew, make the world better by putting wizards on top where they belong – blah blah blah.
