First and foremost, the staff has talked quite a bit the past few days. We feel that current events, which we were hoping would be fun and mysterious, haven't been well received. Because of this, in the spoiler below I have broken down everything we are doing. Read it if you want. This will spoil the entire plan for you. It is 100% full transparency.
Before you decide if you want to spoil the rest of the Purifiers plot, and other plots going on in the next four months, I want to address one final matter. All we wanted was for this to be fun and a surprise. I was limiting the full plot (in detail, they did know the direction and stuff) to other staff members that were working on these so that they could write genuine reactions for their characters. So that their out of character knowledge wouldn't accidentally affect how they wrote the post and potentially spoil some of the surprises. Please, this was not mods withholding information from you. It was me. If you have an issue with how it was handled bring it to me directly.
To begin. We are wrapping up the Purifiers plot by the end of the IC year. The plot has been around since the site was first made and it's time to move on. Due to a variety of changes over the years this plot was forced to be changed and adjusted to try to still work. Unfortunately these changes did not always work, and made things longer and more complicated then they were intended. This also prevented us from pursuing more unique plots that fit our community better.
This means that we're working on pushing this plot to the finish line as quickly as possible. We now only have 4 months to bring about the climax, and conclusion. So we were aiming to do as many plot needed points as one shots.
In addition, since Viktor Krum was dropped we are making necessary steps to try and bring about a new Minster of Magic. After much discussion we felt it best to go the route of just having Krum voted out of office. To do that we're planning a few news articles to set a tone of overall dissatisfaction with Krum's actions since entering office so that being voted out of office would feel more realistic.

Elaine was testing different fire spells and charms, how to to make them more potent, for her final stand.

This was honestly just me trolling you guys because I told you that the next disaster I did I'd do a flood instead of an explosion. It had no real relevant other then we thought it'd be funny to see who remembered.

April 2026
Apothecary Robberies
This was the purifiers gathering different ingredients to create water repelling potions, and paralyzing potions for the final stand.
Yrisle creatures found in Forbidden forest - hasn't been posted yet
This is to help with losing faith in Krum's status. The creatures are just large pack animals that are 100% harmless to humans. They just look scary to cause some fear and then piss the public off when they realize they're harmless cause they would have known that if Krum had handled Yrisle better.

May 2026
The burning of Hogwarts - hasn't happened yet
The Climax of the Purifiers plot. I know one member has guessed this but we've done our best to never admit it. The purifier base is..... The Chamber of Secrets and has been since we created the base. It was always the plan for the Purifiers to use that to invade Hogwarts from below. Using the methods practiced and obtained over the past few months Elaine is basically setting the chamber of Secrets on fire suicide bomber style. Anyone that would like to drop a character will be able to use this fire to get rid of them. Those that want to go out with Elaine can. She's basically just going to try to take down as many people with her as possible, which is why she wanted potions that cause paralysis and water repellent, to use on people.
June 2026-June 2027
This is the year flash forward. During this time all Hogwarts students are home schooled, or attend other schools. The Education department of the ministry is rebuilding the school and also revamping the education system. Hogwarts will be reopened in the summer of 2027 and revolutionized. Long story short Hogwarts is becoming more like a multitiered campus that will cater to children all the way to "university" students. We'll break it down later but we're trying to keep the nostalgia of Hogwarts while also expanding as many people have suggested a higher education system.
We were planning on throwing in more events along the way to be "red herrings" for you all, so that it would make it more fun to try and guess. But since we're revealing the whole plot this will be scrapped.
Anyone that wishes to participate we'll make up random things for them to do that don't change the story.
