May 20th
Nora loved her job. She loved serving people drinks and getting people excited for the evening ahead of them. Oftentimes she wished that she could leave work at a moment's notice and go hang out with the cool people she met there, but that wasn't really the way a job worked. Keeping hours was hard for her mentally but she did it because she was always taught to respect your work and do the best you could to make people happy. She wasn't always the best at that. Sure, she had broken hearts, sassed people who possibly deserved it, and been a little snobby at times when she should have lightened up. But overall she tried to be a good person. Well, towards other human like beings that is. Put a gun in her hand and send her out to the Canadian woods? No moose would stand a chance.
She lamented as she cleaned a cup at how long it had been since she had truly gone on a hunting trip. She wondered if her brother could take some time off work at the pub to come camping with her this summer and figured she'd see him soon enough to ask him. She set the cup aside just in time to turn and notice some more customers trickling in. She approached, reaching one of the tables and greeting the new arrival with a smile.
"Howdy there", she said in her best American Western style accent with a grin then she laughed. "I'm only kidding," she announced as her French Canadian accent really came through. "I'm Nora, can I get you anything to drink?" It was a silly question that she was required to ask, of course people wanted something to drink didn't they? Whether it be a delicious glass water or otherwise. Thirst, as she well knew, was not something easily quenched.

May 20, 2026 Only a few days past the tragedy at Hogwarts, Lucrezia was grateful that her granddaughter was safely at Beauxbatons. It was an absolute mess that Elaine Dupree had been able to go undetected at Hogwarts long enough to plot and carry out an attack of the nature that she had, though Lucrezia knew that she was going to need more than blood in a wine glass if she was going to get through work that night. (Yes, it was the equivalent of a non-vampire's drinking at, say, seven o'clock in the morning, but it was harder than it should have been for her to get any decent Druid wines. She couldn't exactly travel to Hy-Brasil.)
So, down to the Fountain of Fair Fortune she'd gone, only to find a perky American waitress in her face a few minutes after she had sat down at a table. Lucrezia had nothing against Americans, really, it was more the shock of hearing such a twangy accent all of a sudden. "I'm only kidding," the waitress then added, her accent shifting drastically from what she'd just sounded like. "I'm Nora," she said. "Can I get you anything to drink?"
Lucrezia looked at her for a moment, only then taking in her appearance and—in the least creepy way possible—the quality of her blood. The waitress was definitely at least part vampire. Half or maybe a quarter, Lucrezia wasn't sure. "Do you have any Druid wines available?" she checked first, her own accent clearly Italian alongside her fully fluent English.
@nora OOC: It doesn't look like Nora's on the claim for vampirism?

Something about this guest smelled absolutely... different. Then she realized. Aw, a vampire of sorts. Probably a full one, based on her... vibes. "Druid wines? I think we've recently started carrying them, yes!" Nora produced the wine menu and placed it on the table for the guest to review. A vampire who liked druid wines? That was very odd. Druids were not fans of vampires. It was why her and Steve had to skip the trip the school had taken to their little island last year. It was still odd to think she had graduated, and that school was over. Nora was a girl of adventure, and the adult life was not quite as adventurous as she had hoped. She needed to get out there and do something, but what? She wasn't sure. lucrezia conti OOC: THanks!!

May 20, 2026 "Druid wines? I think we've recently started carrying them, yes!"
Decades of vampirism meant that Lucrezia's enjoyment good food and wine wasn't what it might have been, not least of which because she wasn't wealthy enough to afford a luxury that did nothing to keep her alive. While some might have been more particular about their wines (or expected her to be more particular about hers), Lucrezia didn't really mind. Besides, her tastes had changed since she was twenty-four, and she typically went for sweeter wines than she would have previously. From what she had found, the Druid wines were drinkable, but the Druids also could be choosy about to whom they sold their products.
Lucrezia nodded at the waitress—Nora, she'd said her name was. She knew that it was her job to be so enthusiastic, so she didn't really mind. Besides, the girl had had the courtesy to hand her a wine list. It didn't take Lucrezia very long to look over that list, though, before she knew what she wanted to order. "Actually," she considered to herself more than to the waitress, "may I please have a glass of the Wormwood Merlot?" She set her finger against its place on the wine menu to make it clearer.
