Trying to run regular errands was always something of a gamble for Lucrezia. Timing her shopping trips so that she would be leaving after the sun was down and before the shops were closed was not always easy, especially when the sun didn't set until later in the day during the summertime. Needing to slip out of the blood bank to go about her business was a hassle, but she knew that she couldn't really expect every business to cater to vampires. That didn't mean that she didn't have to find time to purchase even Blood-Replenishing Potions, though, considering that the clinic typically required the stuff in bulk quantities.

Seeing as the sun wouldn't actually set until the apothecary was closed for the evening, Lucrezia carried a parasol with her for some added protection. It would be a quick in and out, apart from the route there and back, which was fortunately shaded to some extent by the buildings on either side of her. It would have been a lot easier if she could Apparate, but it was either walking from Horizont Alley or looking ridiculous as a bat for the length of her route.

Upon making it to Slug & Jiggers without incident, Lucrezia drew in her parasol and stepped inside. She knew what she was there for, and the people who worked there were usually competent; hopefully, it wouldn't take very long.

Bludworth Bathory hadn't been spending much time where Hogwarts castle once stood, thus it was a pleasant surprise for him to run into two of his descendants in Diagon Alley. The oldest was twenty-six-year-old Liam Bathory, Hogwarts graduate and Slytherin alumnus; from what Bludworth had been told, he had become quite the potioneer. The second was his younger sister, nine-year-old Veronica Bathory, whom Liam had been babysitting while their parents tended to business matters outside of the country.

“Ah, don't think I've set foot in Diagon Alley since I bought me school supplies fer me seventh year at Hogwarts,” the pirate ghost sighed nostalgically. He floated alongside his two descendants as they crossed the threshold into the bustling Slug & Jiggers.

Liam kept his hand enclosed around Veronica's as they entered. “That had to have been like, what, over two centuries ago?”

“Give 'r take, boy,” Bludworth responded. “So wha' is it ye be seekin' from this apothecary, if ye wish t' quench me curiosity?”

Little Veronica chirped, “He's looking for ingredients for Wolfsbane Potion, grandpa! For a werewolf!”

The ghost went completely still where he floated, his normally puckish expression replaced by one of irritation. “How many times 'ave I told ye nah t' call me tha'?!”

“Well what else is she gonna call you?” Liam chided with a chuckle at his ancestor's expense. “There are way too many greats that would come before it.”

Bludworth's eyes narrowed to slits. “If I still 'ad a body...GO PURCHASE YER DAMNED INGREDIENTS!”

The two jumped and scuttled away laughing.

Bludworth turned and started to float bitterly in the opposite direction, but stopped when his translucent body nearly came in contact with a female with a fancy looking umbrella. She wouldn't have been harmed, but the result of his going through her would be her blood going unbearably frigid.

“Oh, me apologies, lass.”
