It was close to Christmas. Soon Hanna would be heading back to Hungary for the traditional Horvath and Lyra would be heading to The Netherlands with EPKE ROBERTUS OPPEDYK. A part of Lyra was upset. She had always loved Christmas at home. Her and Hanna's family would all pile into the same house and the huge family, along with some of the other cousins, even if their parents never came. A part of her stung whenever Hanna talked about it, which was little as she her cousin knew how hard it was on her. Lyra knew she would for sure win the family duel that always broke out in the kitchen between Lyra & Hanna's fathers. She had always fared the best out of the second generation and now was sure she could take on the older ones too. Sometimes she wondered if her going professional would make her Papa proud again, if he would start to see her in better eyes again, and not the Wolf she was. She wondered if Hanna would tell her parents that this Christmas over dinner, maybe they'd even ask about her. Hanna could say how they were going to travel the European circuit, and how well Lyra was going to do for sure. How well she was doing with Rob, her Werewolf mate. How well her life was going in general. Maybe. Pushing that thought down, she looked down to straighten the menu in front of her and then around to take in the fancy cocktail bar. It was in London's shard, and overlooked the city and it's glorious view, but it was Wizard owned. On an unmapped upper level of the observatory deck, she glanced out at the city and shivered. It wasn't cold, the deck was magically heated and being outside in the depths of winter didn't really matter, but unpredicted nerves seemed to be getting the better of her. Her eyes drifted over the menu and she wondered what she should get while she waited for her cousin. hanna horváth

Life in London had been a complete whirlwind. Hanna loved living on her own in her new flat. Her job at Witch TV kept extremely her busy, though she was still considering her options, since it wasn't as fulfilling as she thought it would be. The socialite wished she could pursue social media full-time for a living, but didn't feel like it was sustainable; also that would have admittedly been a bit cringe. One of the best parts about moving her life to London was being closer to Lyra. Their relationship had been better than ever. Hanna loved that they got to see each other on a consistent basis, and she was eager to watch Lyra's career form in the dueling world. Ever since Rob seemed to have a more open mind about it, Lyra seemed to perform even better.
The holidays were quickly approaching, which meant Hanna would be returning home for the festivities. Most likely without Lyra. Hanna understood the strained relationship Lyra had with the family and wouldn't ever pressure her, though she wished she would try. Regardless, Hanna would defend Lyra until her face turned blue. She had always been her biggest and most loyal fan.
Hanna's heels clicked rhythmically on the tile floor as she made her way out of the elevator and onto the heated patio of the rooftop restaurant. It was one of Londons most prestigious wizard owned bars and she often frequented it often since moving to London. The blondes eyes quickly found Lyra at the back of the patio in a secluded section. That was exactly where she expected her to be. Quickening her stride with a little shimmy, she stopped at the table and fell into the booth seat directly beside her cousin and crashed into her with a hug, wrapping her arms around her for a warm embrace. "Oooh, its sooo good to see you!" she squeezed her violently with love and kissed her cheeks. "I hope you haven't been waiting long, I got caught up with work. Yuuuck." Hanna gagged dramatically as she waved over the bartender with a cheery smile to start them off with some drinks. "Shall we start with drinks?"

Though she tried to keep her thoughts at bay as she waited on her favourite cousin bordering a sister, they kept dwindling back to her family. She hadn't thought about them in a long time, but now it was impossible to keep the thoughts out. She wondered how Leo was, and her parents. She wondered how Marta and Czeke were, and Hanna's siblings. After a moment, no matter how much of the enchanted cocktail in front of her she drank, her throat was disgustingly dry and a new emotion edged up on her; jealousy. For not the first time in her life, Lyra would be jealous of Hanna. Although the reason was altogether new, the feeling was not. Trying to put her thoughts aside, she ordered another drink, this time a slightly heavier, stronger one. Maybe that would make this all a little easier. But then, like the godly apparition she was, Hanna was suddenly in front of her and crashing into the booth beside her with an almost apologetic hug. She had to push herself to force a smile, and then squeeze her cousin in response, but it worked just about. "It's alright, really. I've already had a drink and just ordered another, so yeah you grab one and catch up Hanz"

"Perfect!" Hanna grinned. She was relieved that Lyra didn’t seem to mind that she was a little late, not that Lyra was one to make a fuss about those sorts of things anyway. That was why they got along so well. The blonde didn't have to look at a menu to decide on a drink since she was a regular. She settled on an espresso martini with a double shot. Since moving to London it had become her favorite cocktail. Hanna tilted her head with a smile, her expression a great indication that she was happy to see her cousin after a couple of weeks. "Soo. How are you and Rob?" she asked, raising the drink to her lips with a curious look. "Has he started to warm up to the idea of you dueling yet?” Hanna continued, not afraid of asking considering Lyra was one of her favorite people on the planet and she truly cared about what was going on in her cousins life.
