12 ½ inches, pear, phoenix feather core, very flexible
Ivanka is 5'2" with an average—if not slightly athletic—build. She has a round face with brown hair and eyes, and her skin holds a slight tan. Her hair is at shoulder length, and she usually keeps it straightened. She has both of her earlobes pierced once on each ear and also has a scar on her right elbow from a fall from a toy broomstick as a child. Of note, she's also left-handed.
When she isn't engaged in her Curse-Breaker training, she prefers to wear more feminine clothing—such as flowy dresses and skirts—that wouldn't necessarily be suitable for traveling to cursed tombs and the like.

As the youngest of the Krum children, Ivanka has spent much of her life trying to prove that she doesn't have to do anything to "measure up" to her parents or her older siblings, thank you very much. If she seems to be living in their shadows, that's other people's problems; not hers. She's confident in herself and knows what she wants out of life—and her talent in Ancient Runes at school was a large part of what motivated her to go into Curse-Breaking.
Although quite often headstrong, Ivanka is willing to put in the work to do things well the first time she's asked, meaning that she can often come across as controlling. (Yes, she's a perfectionist, but she would rather be a perfectionist than see things go wrong because she took the easy way out.) She would prefer to think of herself as being responsible, and that isn't untrue, either.
Make no mistake; Ivanka can be difficult to get along with. Her perfectionist tendencies have led her to be labeled a "control freak" by those who have worked with her, and she found herself in detention at Hogwarts on more than a few occasions due to her disagreements with her professors. Despite this, she means well, and she's firmly loyal to her family and friends through thick and thin.
Looking forward to her future in Curse-Breaking beyond the terror of what happened to Hogwarts, Ivanka hopes that she will be able to travel the world and make plenty of memories. At the same time, she's aware of the dangers of the profession and fears having to be forced into an early retirement because of an accident on the job, not to mention the dangers posed by the Dark Arts.

Ivanka Krum was born on February 25, 2008, to Elena and Viktor Krum. The youngest of their four children, she was born and spent her early years in her father's native Bulgaria, specifically in Vratsa. There, Ivanka had a peaceful childhood, and like her siblings before her, was taught to fly a broom from a very early age with the hope that she might become a Quidditch player someday.
When Ivanka was about eight years old, her mother was offered a position with the Department of Magical Games and Sports—in Britain. The Krums had been considering a move, anyway, because they didn't want to send their children to Durmstrang, but it became official. They moved to a small town in North Yorkshire called Thirsk, and that became Ivanka's new home. It wasn't in Bulgaria, but she loved it all the same and eagerly awaited the day that she would go to school at Hogwarts.
She was the last of her siblings to start at Hogwarts, so she knew what to expect. It wasn’t a surprise to Ivanka when she was Sorted into Hufflepuff, either. Her sister had been put into the same House in the previous year, and Ivanka couldn’t imagine herself anywhere but Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. She adjusted quickly to life at school, always remaining close to her siblings but branching out, too, to make friends where she could. She didn't have any interest in joining the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, but that turned out alright.
It was in her third year that she discovered that Ancient Runes, a subject that she had decided to take on a whim, was her best by far. She was happy at school—very much so, and she had no reason not to be. By her fourth year of school, however, the atmosphere around Hogwarts became much darker. No longer was it the safe haven that she had known; not only were politicians being killed, but students were, too. It frightened Ivanka, who sent her parents a flood of letters, begging to be pulled out of school. School wasn’t a place where people were supposed to worry about being killed, and especially not at Hogwarts, which had always been so welcoming to her. The kidnappings were, perhaps, the worst of all, and the first of April was the icing on the cake of horrors that Ivanka had had to suffer through. It was the first time that she had truly feared for her own life, and she wasn't sure that she wanted to return to Hogwarts for her fifth year.
Gradually, things got better again. The Triwizard Tournament provided Ivanka with an opportunity to imagine what her life might have been like if she had ended up going to school at Durmstrang instead. The different tasks were exciting to watch, and it was all so fascinating. It was around the same time that she began to realize that her feelings for other girls were stronger than just friendship, and she began to consider herself bisexual for a while before coming out to her family as a lesbian.
What was far worse than coming out of the closet was the way in which the Triwizard Tournament year ended. Ivanka was devastated by the explosions of the Beauxbatons Carriage and the Durmstrang Ship, but she was able to channel her fear into an understanding that she didn't want to sit by and watch as bad things kept happening. At barely sixteen and not yet of age, she thought about setting her sights on Auror training.
The arrival of the Ilvermorny students so soon after so many students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang had just died felt like a punch to the gut. As much as Ivanka felt bad for what they had been through, she didn't receive them with the warmest welcome, finding that any mention of Durmstrang hit closer to home. She kept her focus on her NEWT-level studies, and she made the decision to go into Curse-Breaking as her career.
The fall of Azkaban brought back Ivanka's dread. Outwardly, though, she became more aggressive. It made more sense to her to close Hogwarts, too, temporarily, but she didn't really have a say in that. Add the start of the Hag's Fever outbreak to the mix, and it was difficult for Ivanka to maintain her motivation to do well academically. Unfortunately, her marks did suffer by the end of her sixth year. Though she could have done far worse, she was highly critical of herself for it.
The deaths of so many more people at what should have been an enjoyable Quidditch match despite the reported death of Elaine Dupree angered Ivanka even more. Her father had been close to Minister Granger since they were teenagers, and she had grown up around most of the woman's family. Her father's election to the position of Minister for Magic himself came as a shock, however, and Ivanka was initially against it.
Determined to use her seventh year as another opportunity to get back on track, Ivanka pushed through despite the sudden interest in her, the Minister's youngest child, and tried to use it to her advantage. Being seventeen and legally of age but not yet out of Hogwarts was frustrating, but it became clear to Ivanka and some of her friends that there was more going on than they were being told. Between that and the news that her sister Iliana was pregnant, Ivanka was ready to do something.
When she and Brígh O'Dalaigh made the decision to restart Phoenix Rising, Ivanka did question herself. At the same time, she reminded herself that she was an adult. If anything else were to happen, they could handle it, couldn't they?
What did happen came suddenly. Regardless of their preparation, there was little that Phoenix Rising could do to outsmart Fiendfyre as it engulfed nearly all of the castle. Ivanka made it out alive in the end, but the same couldn't be said for many others.
Pulling herself together enough to achieve the grades that she needed at NEWT level to go into Curse-Breaking as she intended, Ivanka had no choice but to set her sights on her future beyond Hogwarts.
