▲ June 11th, 2027 If Jimbo hadn’t already been prophetic in nature when it came to love and relationships, he probably would have assumed that he had gained it for having an excellent knack in running a business. The matchmaking, while definitely old school these days, still provided the lifestyle he liked, but it was nowhere even close to what the pizza parlour brought it. When Hogwarts burned, so did his pizza business for a little while. The shop basically stopped functioning and had been used for a staging area as the Ministry conducted its investigation and clean-up following the fateful night, and Jimbo had been more than happy to give them the space. Who was he going to sell pizza to when there was no one left in Hogwarts or Hogsmeade? As that summer rolled around and he gained his shop back, everything essentially went the delivery route. Which was honestly not a bad thing. A lot of the younger Ministry employees and those in the alleyways called up ahead of time, apparated to Hogsmeade to grab their pizzas, and then went straight home from there. For those in a more reasonable range, he had a few delivery fliers, but that was far from being a lucrative part of the parlour. Upon hearing that Hogwarts would reopen in 2027 but with some changes to it, Jimbo knew that his location had been a smart decision. For the families coming to pick up their little ones at the end of their day, he was right there in Hogsmeade and was a quick and easy stop for dinner. And the LIFE students? They could come and go as they pleased, making his pizza parlour finally viable during the week. Not to mention that Hogsmeade finally had a breath of fresh air shoved into it. Having students, professors, and frequent visitors made it a viable location again. He couldn’t remember the last time it looked alive aside from weekends where students were allowed to visit. Today was the first Friday after the summer term for LIFE students had started. To say it was busy was an understatement, and Jimbo was slightly perplexed on what to do. Extra seating had been added outside to accommodate the influx of customers, the majority of whom looked to be students. The best part about all of it? Pizza was everywhere. The smell of it permeated the summer air around the restaurant. It was like he had created a bubble of pizza around his spot in Hogsmeade. There had been complaints from the locals since he opened, but that didn’t stop him in the slightest. The people wanted pizza, and there they were eating it! Happily strolling around the perimeter of his building, Jimbo kept a watchful eye to see if anyone needed his assistance. OPEN ● 464 ● Like Light to the Flies by Trivium MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

It was hard to complain about work being slow when one's work is to bring in rogue and dark Magical folk. Sure, it was boring when it was slow and Colton didn’t have much going on but to complain would be implying he wanted something bad to happen. Moments like this it was just better to accept and appreciate the quietness of life. As it was, the most pressing issue Colton had related to work was being roped into helping with planning a birthday party at work. Something he didn’t exactly want to be a part of. It wasn’t a matter for a MACUSA Auror head he felt. Yet, here he was heading to a pizza parlor in Hogsmeade to pick up the order. Most birthdays went by with just a quick congratulations and people went on their way. Somehow this particular employee had garnered enough good favor among his other subordinates that they just had to throw a party for them.
Possibly Colton just wasn’t a birthday person. A nice afternoon, some whisky and a small get-together was all Colton needed on a birthday. The decorations that littered the MACUSA office were enough to already make Colton wish he had called out sick or been out on a mission. Colton neared the pizza parlor, address on a slip of paper he had on hand. He could already see how busy they were. Students coming and going, laughter to be heard as well as heightened voices. It was nice to see students were about and having fun. Especially given the nightmare people had been through with Hogwarts. Pushing open the door Colton was hit with the raised volume of the place. So many people in one building. Next was the air, which was heavy with the smell of freshly baked pizza. Food was always something Colton could enjoy and pizza was a rare occasion when growing up as a kid on the ranch. Grand junction, Colorado wasn’t exactly known for its pizza. Especially not on a magical ranch.
Coming to the counter he was told the pizzas weren’t exactly ready yet. Which didn’t surprise him, Colton had left the office as soon as he had been asked to pick them up. Any excuse to get out of the decorations. Stepping outside while he waited Colton did a quick scan of the area. finding the one other adult it seemed outside the place at the moment. Recognizing him as the Blishwick fellow who ran the blind dating event he had tried once and the owner of this place. Colton had some time to kill and wasn’t exactly feeling up to chatting with any of the student and teen staff. “I would have never reckoned the pizza game would have been such a gold mine,” Colton said as Blishwick strolled closer. “Guess that’s why I’m just a humble ministry worker,” Colton added with a laugh, not disappointed with his career choice. Just making a small joke.

▲ The only problem Jimbo had with customers wasn’t actually a problem with customers at all; it was seeing them enter the restaurant and then exit soon after without any food in their hands. This happened a lot when the store first opened, and he had expected as much because people were more curious than they were hungry. To have it happen now? It worried him slightly. Seeing as it was busy, he couldn’t fully blame someone if they walked in and were instantly turned off by the crowd. The pizza was still quick and tables were free every couple of minutes. He had seen muggle fast food joints with longer lines. And this was nowhere close to the event he had held the year prior. The estimated wait time for that had been over an hour, and he’d felt terrible having to push students out to make room for new customers. While it had been a resounding success and filled his coffers at the end of the day, there was no excuse for that now unless something broke inside. Jimbo wanted to head over and check as he watched the customer in particular exit without pizza, but was caught halfway. Maybe he’d been wrong about what was going on? Talking with customers was part of his job after all. “You can thank all of the American students for the idea,” Jimbo responded, instantly clocking the different accent. It was true, after all. He knew he had to act fast before they all left too, at least to get a leg up at the beginning. “I know who and what people love, so it’s no surprise that pizza won out. I felt that Hogsmeade was lacking as well. Two dusty pubs can’t serve the entirety of Hogwarts anymore.” Things could not have worked out better for him too with the expansion of the school. He hated thinking of like that, but it was all said and done with now. @colton ● ### ● Song by Artist MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0
