The Grecian sun beat down on the three girls as Brígh unlocked the door to their hotel room, revealing two massive beds and a beautiful view of the sea. Ivanka had taken point on organising the trip, as she was the more responsible of the duo. Brígh had coerced Addy into taking a long weekend to settle her mind. After much to and fro, Addy had ultimately agreed to visit Malia with her and Ivanka. Brígh was delighted - it was the perfect opportunity for her to let off some steam. A part of her felt guilty that Addy's newfound freedom would come at Cheese's request, but sometimes, sacrifices had to be made. Besides, Addy had come to her first. Had asked for her best friend's help. Cheese had not. Therefore, Addy was Brígh immediate priority.

Brígh lunged for the bed nearest the massive glass door that led out onto a terrace overlooking the sea. She hugged a pillow tight to her chest. "This is gonna be Addy and some random lad soon," Brígh crowed, lewdly pressing her hips against the pillow. She snickered and replaced the pillow on the bed, folding her legs under her. "It's half three now. Reckon we can still make one of the beach clubs, what do you think?" She sprung from the bed and flung open her suitcase on the ground, withdrawing a green and gold bikini. "Addy, did you bring that crochet dress with the fringe?" asked Brígh over her shoulder as she dug through her case for a pair of sandals to match.

After a moment of silence, Brígh looked up. "Well don't just stand there. We didn't come on holiday to muck about. I'm the one with the boyfriend, why do I have to take charge of making you two more fun?" asked Brígh with a grin. "Aidan would hate this place," she added after a moment, and a pang of longing snapped through her. "But it feels good to be here with you girls. And not suffocated by paperwork."

Addy couldn’t remember the last time she’d spent a weekday not working. After their chat last week, Brígh had spent the following days metaphorically and actually poking Addy in an attempt to convince her to join them until Addy finally caved in. A vacation wasn’t a terrible idea, and when she’d asked at work, worried that such a last-minute request would be denied, they agreed without any argument. She wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing. Would they really not need her for those two days? But, by this point in her internship, all the other interns requested days off and planned holidays, while Addy merely pushed through her workload.

But while Addy felt in control of herself and her senses, there was much she couldn’t see, but Brígh could. This many months later, Addy didn’t want to admit that the breakup had lingered far longer than she cared to admit. It didn’t help to be on speaking terms with Cheese and the other things, but it made everything far less awkward. Addy had gotten to know Ivanka better now that they were roommates, they hadn’t been that close during their school years, but she couldn’t say they knew each other all that well yet. Brígh jumped around the room and then grabbed a pillow. Addy blushed slightly and rolled her eyes.

”No it will not.” She responded as she cleared her throat. Addy was still single, technically. Though the Auror from work was sort of a regular thing even if they hadn’t defined anything yet. And neither was in a hurry to do so either. But finding some random guy here seemed a bit silly to Addy. ”You mean the one you stuffed into my bag before we left?” She placed her stuff down neatly, opening her suitcase and looking at the dress Brígh had so haphazardly placed among her organized things. It was a nice color, but maybe not something Addy would have bought for herself. It was, ahem, a little revealing. She raised an eyebrow, setting it aside while she grabbed her stuff.

They had made it to Greece in one piece, and their hotel for the long weekend was honestly nicer than Ivanka had expected it would be. For a last-minute trip, they had done pretty well for themselves—or at least Ivanka thought so until Brígh almost immediately started gyrating against a pillow, declaring that that would be Addilyn and "some random lad" soon enough.

For all the boredom they'd had to endure at LIFE, though, Ivanka was certain that they were going to come back from their little holiday to Malia with some memories—and more than a few inside jokes, knowing the other two girls.

With Brígh already pestering Addy about some dress that she had apparently stuffed into the latter's bag before they left, Ivanka set her suitcase down and opened it up. She had absolutely no idea what to wear to a beach club, aside from the fact that it probably wasn't going to be a bikini alone. "Alright," she considered aloud, looking between Addy and Brígh. "What says, 'I'm on a girls' holiday, skiving off my magical uni, but I'm also a lesbian'?"

Brígh crowed with delight at having convinced both Ivanka and Addy on this spontaneous trip. Though in reality, Ivanka hadn't taken much convincing, and she was just as guilty as Brígh was in wanting to skive off school. They both firmly believed they didn't belong in a classroom, not after they'd spent a year in the field. It didn't matter that LIFE included field work - it was the very principal of the thing. Brígh asked Addy if she'd brought a dress that she really liked, and Addy shot back a wry remark. "The very same," she replied with a grin, shifting from her place on the bed with the pillow to peruse the contents of Addy's case with her.

"Yes. You wear this," said Brígh, plucking the dress from the depths of her clothes. "I've got a pair of trousers calling my name," she added with a nod. Brígh turned her attention to Ivanka, shuffling over to her case to investigate. "Denim shorts, I think. Oh, these ones with the nice destroyed aspect," said Brígh, more to herself than anything. "If only you had more piercings. That would really set the tone," added Brígh with a smirk. "But nah, any girl here would be lucky to have you. And any guy here would be lucky to have you, Addy. And me? Well, I'm just here to enjoy the show," said Brígh brightly, twirling in place.

Brígh made quick work of her travelling clothes, stripping bare without a care in the world. She pulled on the aforementioned green and gold bikini before pulling on a pair of white linen trousers. She looped a golden chain around her neck and plaited her hair off her face. "I cannot wait to get so drunk I don't remember the accent in my name," sighed Brígh.

Ivanka seemed much keener on this trip than Addy, but she was also a Cursebreaker trainee. That sense of adventure lived within her as well. That same sense didn’t exist within Addy, or if it did, it was relatively tame. And despite seven years of school together, Brígh knew Ivanka better than Addy did. They had grown closer during Phoenix Rising, but the year had been rather busy for both of them. Addy fought that internal urge to ignore Brígh. After all, this was a girl's trip, so even if Addy didn’t find herself a “no-so-nice lad” as Brígh had put it, she knew she’d been overdue for a break. And how better than to spend it with her friends.

It was a shame Eggy already had plans plus her own job. Addy made a mental note to visit her when they returned. She nodded in agreement with Brígh. The shorts would do it. ”Are you our wing woman or matchmaker?” She asked as she changed. As timid as Addy might have been, she wasn’t excessively modest either. But changing didn’t take long, and while Addy waited, she set aside her clothes neatly off to the side. Naturally, Brígh’s clothes were thrown everywhere in the room.

”Brígh—you know I don’t do well with tequila.” Addy cautioned her friend as she sat on the edge of her bed. A few drinks would be fine, but she didn’t like being hungover.

Though Ivanka wasn't particularly sold on the idea that both she and Addy were going to end up finding holiday romances as though they could summon them up with a quick incantation, she nodded her head in response to what Brígh said at first. (On that note, she was not about to go the love potion route; that was too risky.) If something happened, it happened. What happened in Greece would stay in Greece.

Picking out an outfit to put on was somehow even more difficult with Brígh's input, though. It wasn't the denim shorts that Ivanka had a problem with; she'd packed them for the trip herself. "If only you had more piercings," Brígh commented. "That would really set the tone."

"You are not piercing anything," Ivanka replied, half shrieking and half laughing, as she got out the shorts that Brígh had identified.

Addy, meanwhile, asked if Brígh had come as their wingwoman or as their matchmaker, and Ivanka kept laughing as she changed into the distressed denim shorts and rummaged around in her suitcase for some sort of top to go with it. She found a grey camisole and put that on in place of the shirt she had been wearing, then checked to see if she had anything decent with which to accessorize her outfit.
