10 September 2027
The first week back at classes had been gruelling, to say the least. Jack had forgotten just how much he hated coursework. There had been many points of the week during which he questioned his decision to pursue a career in the ministry. First off, why would he want to join the ranks of an organisation he had no respect for? He wasn't exactly a law abiding citizen. Even if Jack had grown more careful in recent years. Poverty led to desperate measures. Besides, it wasn't that he actually wanted to be a hit wizard. He just wanted to make enough money whilst he worked on his music. One day, someone would see his potential. One day, his name would be spoken with the reverence it deserved.
But for the time being, Jack slogged through mountains of practical work and theory papers. He excelled at thinking like a criminal, anticipating the next moves. However, putting that to words and answering mundane questions about complicated wandwork had Jack slumping over his essay, fighting off the urge to sleep. In a swift movement, Jack rose abruptly from his chair and rolled up the parchment. He'd try again later. But for now, an inkling of an idea had formed in his mind.
Slinging his rucksack over his shoulder, Jack sauntered off towards the MAGIC building. He peeked into the greenhouses as he passed, but his quarry was nowhere to be seen. Since he'd met Alora earlier this week, Jack hadn't been able to stop thinking about her. But she'd expertly evaded him since that day at the Flobberworm and Lettuce. If he could track her down, he could ask her to join him in a more intimate setting. A self-satisfied smirk crept onto Jack's face as he pressed onwards, wandering the castle until he found the professor wing.
As Jack rounded the corner, an unfamiliar person gave him pause. He must have been one of Alora's colleagues - and Merlin, Jack was wondering if there was something in the wine at MAGIC but all the teachers were incredibly good looking. The man before him had a face that could have been cut from marble, and Jack's quick survey of his body elicited a positive reaction. "Alright?" Jack managed to say, sounding much cooler and suave than he had expected to.

10 September 2027 The classes had been most interesting, especially seeing the faces of new students. Hargus really enjoyed that and teaching more about spells. You could say it was quite a passion; that had been quite stressful despite being the first week he had been in the institute. After spending nearly three hours in the office, Hargus decided it would be a good idea to take a walk, in order to be able to distract himself and order his chaotic thoughts. Lately he had been dealing with the nightmares he had had, with his family being the most frequent ones. The truth is, he was overwhelmed when he had to think about his family. He didn’t give much thought to the end, because he always ends up having other kinds of distractions. The tunic brushed gently against the ground as he walked. The walk not only helped to clarify his mind, it also allowed Hargus to explore the place and socialize a little, in case it happened. He was aware that it didn’t happen as much as he had hoped but it was always worth a try. What he enjoyed most when socializing was finding the most eccentric characters and considering a challenge when understanding them. Sometimes he had the slight problem of understanding the forms of interaction and the tone people used. Without realizing it, he ended up in the professor's wing. There, he stared for a few minutes, thinking that if it would be okay to try talking to some other professor. He started walking again, until he almost hit another man. He was visibly confused by what he had said, "Sorry, what did you say?" he asked, visibly worried. Perhaps he had tried to say something? You could see that on Hargus' face he was confused, but with a big smile "My apologies, my name is Hargus Nightsade." he said raising his hand. He wasn’t sure if the man would be interested in talking, but at least it would be worth a try. Right? Taking advantage of the first time he saw him, Hargus took a look at the man. He studied him for a few minutes, unable to avoid it. No doubt the other looked really attractive. His fingers tapped his lips slightly "I was wondering, what are you doing here?" he asked, without being too indiscreet. He didn’t mean to get into other people’s business, but being a professor like he was, he had to make sure everyone followed the rules. After all, it was part of his daily duties. He hadn’t been a professor long, so he couldn’t be absolutely sure if the other one could be a professor. Damn.
