It never rained for Rían, it poured. For months he had gone without any contract work from the Ministry, or Mungos or the Hogwarts foundation. Now here he was in one week he had been in the Ministry and back on the Hogwarts ground. Sure he had done a good bit of work on the linked IT Services of the reformed schools before they opened, but since then there hadn't been much to be done. Maybe he had shot himself in the foot by doing such a good job, it hadn't needed any work in the first month or so, but now as students and staff moved through the systems some cracks had started shown. Frustrating for them, he supposed, but good for helping make some money for rent and extra disposable income on top, of a Saturday. However the one downside was that because it was a Saturday afternoon the village of Hogsmeade was probably busier than he would have liked it; he knew Diagon Alley would have been just as busy and closing the shop for the day meant turning down some money. Probably one of the reasons he had upped his callout fee to balance it all up. Except the problem he had encountered up at the service desk of the school had actually been a relatively easy one, and even though he had set the day aside to work on it, it had actually been solved it just an hour and a half. Considering he had already earned enough for the day, this left the rest of the day open for him to indulge himself and actually have a day off for once. All things considered this didn't mean much. In reality he should have likely gone to visit his Mam, but after thinking on it, he realised he couldn't really face the idea of it. His da would be home and he wasn't in the mood for that. Instead he had trundled down the lane to the village and decided he'd wander around for now. Or at least, that was the plan until he had walked up the high street and realised it was his stomach that was making that noise. He guessed it was lunch time then. He knew everywhere would likely be swamped with students, but he would have to bite the bullet and get something anyway. Deciding to avoid the trendier spots around the village like Spellbucks or the Pizza Emporium, he made his way to the Three Broomsticks. It was just as busy, but he found a seat anyway and settled himself in for lunch and a pint. He was able to block out the idea of there being so many people around, but the noise was starting to grate on him somewhat. Cursing himself, he regretted leaving his headphones at home and decided to make this a quick visit if he could help it in any way. rose harriet granger-weasley

November 6, 2027 Living in Hogsmeade made working at MYSTIC easy, and Rose couldn't say that she minded not having more separation between her work and her personal life. The village—being that it was a village—was relatively small, but there were enough shops and eateries nearby that it didn't feel that small, really. Besides, Rose didn't think that there was much of anywhere where she could go without being known to the people there, and she had grown up that way.
Because it was a Saturday afternoon and there would undoubtedly be someone at the pub who knew her, she was fully prepared to go into the Three Broomsticks and have it take longer than was really necessary for her to eat her lunch. Aside from planning lessons, she was fortunate that marking any assignments that her Reception students turned in didn't really take too much time out of her day, so she could spare a side conversation or two with someone about how her family had been or whatever other topic might come up.
Undeterred by the likelihood of having to make small talk in exchange for being able to get a bowl of soup, Rose entered the pub. She knew that there was no way that she would be able to make her way up to the bar counter before being spoken to, but she expected it to happen.
