Ivy levelled her sister with a narrowed glance. "Don't get used to it," said the elder Burke, though a grin spread across her lips. "Let's go," Ivy added, squeezing Hazel's hand as they departed her office together.
Though Ivy was certain that not all was fixed between them - she knew there was a long road ahead, and Hazel was nothing if not stubborn - the first pieces of their beautiful relationship started to mould back together. There was beauty in the breakage, demonstrating that they could come back even stronger from this with their love for one another. It was kintsugi.
