Mystery Ink Arts, Diagon Alley
Tattooing other people was always interesting in some way or another. Whether that was because of what a client wanted tattooed, their behavior while in the shop, or something else entirely, Blair had been left with plenty of stories already. If she were a gossip, things might have been different for her, but she was generally able to deal with whatever got thrown her way at work. Sometimes clients were creepy or made questionable choices; that was just part of the job.
Because she had attended Ilvermorny for most of her schooling, it was slightly less common for Blair to wind up tattooing people she knew personally, but it still happened that she knew her client on occasion. It was just business, though, so she didn't really care as long as whoever it was wasn't weird about it. Inking her own name on somewhere that didn't ordinarily see the light of the day probably would be enough for her to run out of there for good, she imagined, but that hadn't happened yet.
The next client that she had was someone she knew, although she knew him mostly by name. There was no valid reason for her not to tattoo Rhys Greyback, but his being the father of Maria's daughter, Charlotte, made things more, well, complicated than usual. Still, Blair supposed that it could have been worse.
Instead of agonizing over the inevitable awkwardness, however, Blair got started on preparing what she could before Rhys's appointment time rolled around. How bad could it be, right?
