The upcoming Quidditch Season had the whole office on edge. As the face of the Quidditch league in the office, and the face of the Daily Prophet for the quidditch league, Ginny was the nice go between for them. In theory it was great, but this time of the year it was Manic for her. Soon the season would be starting and they were just slightly past all the fun pre-season social events; now they were just into the heavy territory of covering training and the pre-season friendlies. Which of course were nothing but, they were to set up how each team would do for the year. It got their new players out there and if the Prophet wrote the wrong thing about them, or painted them in the wrong light it was Ginny that got an earful from the other side.
Coaches and Managers these days were smart, they were able to manage their own public relations from the most part. Able to manage their players just enough to behave and make sure Ginny’s office only had the things that happened on Pitch, or at the designated press conferences to write about. But there was always the rogue player. The rumors that went on off the pitch.
That’s what she was dealing with at the minute. One of her interns had written a very scathing article about a certain chaser and their escapades of multiple dates from Wizder, and how they had ended. It hadn’t made the sports pages, no. But instead the intern had gone behind her back and presented it to the celebrity gossip pages. What was written wasn’t the worst thing about the player, if the rumors were anything to go by, but it wasn’t anything good. The intern had already taken a verbal tongue lashing, and their fate at the paper was yet undecided. It wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened this side of the season, but it was a headache she didn’t need, and really only the beginning of it.
There was another knock on her office door and Ginny let out a quiet groan before sighing and calling out ”Come in…” adding under her breath ”It can’t get any worse than it already is”
