july 2028, post graduation

Ophelia had done it. She had finally graduated with her Healing degree from LIFE, a school that had come out of a horrific tragedy. It didn’t elude her that without Elaine’s final act, she may not have had such a concrete way to move forward with her life. A small giggle escaped her lips as she looked around. Balloons and streamers were floating in a gentle summer breeze. It hadn’t taken much to convince her to have a graduation party; any excuse to bring her friends together was fine by her. But there was a little sadness in Ophelia as her thoughts turned to Koda. He would be so proud of her, even if part of it was sheer dumb luck. She quickly pushed that time of her life away; she knew if she allowed herself to continue down this path, it would only lead to darkness. And today was a happy day.

Ophelia strolled over to the appetizer table, perusing the different options from The Three Broomsticks & Happily Ever After, along with some homemade versions of the snacks off the old Hogwarts Express. She loaded her plate with a pumpkin past and two deviled eggs before heading to one of the lawn chairs where some of her friends were sitting next to. “Tell me honestly, is this party too much?” she asked them hesitantly. She was almost thirty after all - most people had graduation parties at 17 or maybe 18. But she hadn’t done well enough the first time around to warrant a party she supposed.
