Flossie didn't seem too thrilled with the idea of having to go looking for a Howler to send off, mentioning that she didn't know if they were sold individually. Honestly, Felix didn't know, either. They were the sort of thing that just seemed to exist somehow, not that anything could be created from nothing in the magical world. Rather than go for his idea of shoving countless Acid Pops into an envelope and letting them go back to the place from whence they had come, Flossie brought up that she needed to figure out how the lollipops had ended up there.

Felix knew that she was right that it was probably just an error, et cetera, so he didn't push it. That kind of revenge fantasy for having wasted her time sounded like a good idea, though, if it did end up being something ridiculous. It wouldn't actually hurt anybody, but it would get the point across.

"Anyways… Thanks again," Flossie told him. "You really didn't have to spend your time off doing this."

It might not have been planned time off, Felix thought, but at least he had gotten to spend it with Flossie? "Well, you didn't do it on purpose," he laughed. "And you were lucky I came by when I did." Neither of his older sisters were the type to pull a stunt like that to ensnare him or anyone else. "Honestly, though, Floss… I don't mind helping you—or Vas or Mum."

It wasn't like Flossie was adverse to accepting help, especially from her family, but everything had been just her (and her ex-husband) for such a long time that it felt odd at times. Slipping right back into having family available to assist at any moment's notice was somewhat of a hurdle because of how solitary she had been in New York City. That made it seem like she'd been hidden away and kept from others, despite that not being the case. And then there was the readjustment from having a second pair of hands at all times to it just being herself. That was easily the most difficult change, and something that had taken a better part of the year to get used to. There were still little moments where she wondered if this had been the correct decision. If she had stayed in New York, everything would have been the same as it had always been...

"I know you don't." And that was honestly the part that worried her the most about Felix. He worked nonstop, just like everyone else in the family, and deserved the free time when it came. But he also had a point too: she would have had some difficulty in escaping the shop if he hadn't come by. Eventually she'd force a window open or try to self-levitate down from the second floor. She just happened to be lucky enough to be saved by her brother instead. "And I will endlessly appreciate it too. But I don't want you to feel like you need to put your own life aside just to help me." Hopefully that wasn't too serious of a topic after fretting over an enormous acid pop mishap.
