april 2029 THERE WAS A RARE BOUT OF SPRING SUNSHINE beaming into the Hogwarts courtyard. In just a few days, the grounds would strip themselves bare and half the student body would treat themselves to a full two week trip home for the easter holidays. Eggs would be painted, chocolate gorged upon and Theo's great aunt Octavia would conjure up some strange, ancient tradition with a lot dead animals and so much wine she would sleep through Theo slipping away to spend his holiday at his sister's flower shop.
In the meantime, Theo started early and was chewing on the ear of a chocolate hare when he spied Idele across the sunny courtyard. The odd-girl-out of the Vector triplet's, Idele almost looked nothing at all like her brothers. Apart from the fact that she was a bit tall for her age, and had the kind of pristine complexion only a part-Veela could pull off without being deemed 'ghostly', Idele was a creature unto herself. And Theo took great pleasure in pestering her.
Loping around the fountain, Theo parked himself on the marble bench beside Idele and slung a long arm around her shoulder. "Ideal, Idele, I love you." Theo sang while batting his lashes theatrically, pulling back his arm before she reached around and broke it. She wasn't exactly known for her pleasant nature. Theo leaned back on one hand, trading the chocolate hare to the other so that he could take another careful bite - of the foot this time. "You're looking particularly 'other' today, are you finally embracing your better nature?" He smiled beatifically as he chewed on the Belgian chocolate. "Or, is it just the thought of me?"

━ i move so far in time ━ KNOWING THAT IDELE VECTOR WOULD be shipped back with the lot to her family home to enjoy the Easter break in just a few days felt like hell to the youngest Vector. Her brothers had been going on about it for weeks, their excitement to see their mother and enjoy rich chocolate - filling the halls and all the youngest could do was roll her eyes. The last time she had denied or rejected coming home, letters filled with either yellers or embarrassing content had arrived everyday, right up to the point where she had to change her mind and promise Harmony, that she would be coming home with both Samuel and Octavian.
The Ravenclaw refused to go through any lot of that again and simply bit her tongue every time her mother requested her presence. That and also, anymore 'no's' that were to come out of the redhead's tongue would probably result in a permanent ban from seeing Nova and Decima...Sat in the sun with a small potions book in hand, Idele felt herself relax for the first time in a while. With Samuel and Octavian probably packing up their entire rooms (they always overpacked), Idele was...rather glad she looked nothing like her twin brothers. Considering most of the time, she was 'forgotten', or just simply seen as completely different from them both.
Relaxation only lasted so long for the Vector as she felt a long and rather familiar arm sling over her, while the familiar voice only resulted in an eye roll. "What do you want Theodore?" Thankful he moved his arm off of her, Idele's hand moved, slamming the book in hand shut. "'Other'?" She found herself repeating, brow raising also. "The last thing I would ever think about would be you." She added, letting out a quick sigh. "Scottie's gone back to the dorms to pack and Sammy's probably with him if that's what you're about to ask."

april 2029 TYPICALLY THE SOUND OF THEO'S SUNDAY NAME curled his toes in his shoes, but it was so common coming from Idele's sneering mouth that Theo was almost immune to it. Idele sounded nothing like his mother had, and definitely not a thing like his wrinkly old great aunt. And so, Theo brushed it off with an easy grin and let her shrug out from underneath his arm with minimal offence. In fact, he sort of enjoyed it.
"The pleasure of your company?" He posed, leaning in close to her face as he rested his arms on the bench. She smelled of expensive soaps, just like her brothers, and her hair was like precious metal in the sun. It was a shame about her abrasive personality. She'd be a real catch if it wasn't for the knife she kept in her mouth.
"You know," He waved his hand dismissively, explaining it to her as if she really wished to know. "Otherworldly, not of the common plain..." He let his grin stretch, his eyes running from head to toe. "Veela." He wielded the word like a weapon, knowing that it would rankle her further. She had that kind of complexion, the kind most purebloods knew how to catch at no more than a second glance. The trait that went just a smidgen beyond 'plain good-looking'.
"Why on earth would I ever ask you about your brothers?" Theo laughed, kicking his legs out and knocking his knee against her thigh. "I know more about those two than you." He snorted, but it was probably true if either examined it closely. Idele had so little time for her brothers lately, it was almost as if she lived to spite their very existence. Theo wondered if that had something to do with being the 'spare' in a set of twins. "I've come to bother you, because I think it's a bit funny when you go all red." He made as if to touch her freckled cheek, but knew it would certainly be batted away. "Are you doing anything for the hols?"

━ i move so far in time ━ THEO WAS ONE OF THOSE individuals that simply knew how to push at Idele's buttons without stepping over the boundary. Maybe it was the blessing in disguise regarding Theo's friendships with her brothers, but she hated when the three of them were together. They were more inseparable and close in bond than the biological triplets themselves.
"Fuck off." She responded, lifting her hand to his face to gently push it back. Theo had a bad habit like that, always trying to invade her personal space - but she supposed it was just him trying to push at her buttons again. As he explained his choice of wording, his grin stretching as he did - Idele rolled her eyes, knowing where this was going. It wasn't everyday that someone reminded her of her Veela status/heritage, aside from her mother's constant reminder about their privilege and beauty, Idele barely thought about it.
As their knees knocked, Idele moved her legs a little, so their legs collided a bit. "True." She admitted, finding her lips curve into a wide smile. It was unfortunate in some way though, knowing that her relationship with her brothers was rather estranged, giving how different she felt in comparison to the two of them. Being told that he found it funny when she went red, Idele felt her cheeks flush in that moment.
"I don't go- bloody red!" She defended, hitting at Theo's arm. She took the moment to calm down a little, avoiding his gaze as he brought up the break. "Try stay outside, avoid home as much as possible." It was self explanatory, she didn't really have much patience nor will to spend with her brothers or even her mother. "You? Unless you plan to come bother us again."

april 2029 AS HE LOOMED EVER CLOSER, DROPPING HIS voice to a honeyed drawl, Theo felt his smirk widen as Idele reacted by reaching for him. Her small hand pressing across the entire front of his face and mouth as she very deliberately pushed his head out of her personal space. He let himself go, his laugh muffled by her palm as he huffed hot hair against the soft skin there. "Your hands smell like roses." He noted carelessly. "What expensive hand lotion as mumsy been buying you these days?" He mocked with that same slippery smirk.
Their knees knocked deliberately, Idele unwilling to give a single inch. Everything was just a little bit competitive, and that was always fun for Theo. Though he found her joy at knowing so little about her own family a bit on the strange side, but Idele had always made a point of making herself an outlier. Like she'd rather the distance than claim to know any of them at all. Theo didn't understand, he found the twins a terrible good laugh. Flinching out from her swinging arm as it landed a hard blow on his arm.
"Ow!" He exclaimed on the tail end of a laugh, rubbing at his bruised upper arm and kicking at her ankle gently. "She said, with a lovely red face." Theo pressed, moving out of range as much as he could without falling off thew bench entirely. "Why?" Theo asked, though he supposed he was going to do just about the same thing. "No, I'm going to run away from home in the middle of the night and kip on my sister's sofa all week." Theo grinned beatifically, lacking any remorse. "It's better that way, otherwise my great aunt would actually have to speak to me."

━ i move so far in time ━ THEO'S LAUGH MUFFLED BY HER own hand pushing him back shouldn't of made the youngest Vector grin even wider. Merlin, she hated the feeling of being comfortable around someone, especially a social butterfly like Theo. Everyone loved him and her brothers, even when the three twats were being anything but modest and well close to embarrassing.
Hot air against her hands only made Idele pull her hand back just as fast as she extended it out, and with the Slytherin going off, mindlessly uttering away - the Ravenclaw rolled her eyes. "Don't know. Don't care." It was a lie of course, considering that despite her...odd disatachment from her mother, there were certain things Idele couldn't pass up. Smelling good was unfortunately one of those things. She hated the feeling of sweat (so she was thankful to Merlin that she barely did) but she hated the feeling that she stunk even more.
Idele knew others wouldn't probably understand the mixed feelings she felt within, especially when it came to her relationship with her brothers and overall family. The redhead felt closest to Nova and Archie, members of her family that were seen as outcasted because of her mother's own actions. But Idele bonded and connected with them more than her own twin brothers. Perhaps it was because, for a set of triplets, she was completely different from them. Of course, being a girl between two boys would result with that but there was more than met the eye...
With Theo kicking at her ankle, Idele also let out a loud "Ow!", her mouth dropping open in shock. Her cheeks and overall face were still flushed red and even though Theo had moved a little away from her, it didn't mean Idele wouldn't catch him eventually. "Just..the usual that I can't be bothered with, you know?" Finding herself smiling small at the Slytherin's answer as well, Idele kept gently rubbing her ankle. "See..you might understand after all...So why are you escaping?"

april 2029 IDELE TRIED TO HIDE HER SMILE BUT THEO caught it like a professional. Triumphant and buoyed by his own unflappable confidence. She didn't hate him, he knew it, but it was fun to watch her try and maintain that she did. Just like she pretended she didn't have two brothers, or that her mummy wasn't as hot as she was absolutely terrifying. Of which Theo reminded the Vector's at every chance he got. He was good like that. Leaning back on the bench, he sighed and stretched out his long, gangly legs.
"Don't care about much, do you?" Theo teased, giving Idele a look from the corner of his eye as he watched her shrug him off and turn up her chin, which was as pointed as her mothers, though she'd be vexed to be told. He said no more, mostly because it was fun to watch her stew on it all from where he sat, kicking out his leg until he caught the fine bone of her ankle in quiet retaliation. The shock on her face was nothing but a picture he wished he could capture on film, he shrugged in reply.
"I know," He acquiesced, giving that small inch where she had given him half of that. Because Theo did know. He was nothing if not familiar with the dysfunction of families. The difference was that Idele's mean-spirited mother was still alive, and appearing to dote endlessly on her precious Veela brood. Pansy had never appeared as nothing but a cold-hearted bitch, it was the stuff of war-torn legends.
"Why?" Theo's brows shot up his forehead and he turned his head to case his shocked expression on Idele fully. "Well," He took a breath as if to start, lifting his hand to tick off his points with fingers. "I'm trapped in a haunted mansion older than sin, my great-aunt smells of pixie-dung and cauldron sweat," Theo began, dropping two fingers as he continued, "we can't spend more than two minutes together without her threatening to disinherit me for good, and I bloody well hate Barton." He let out a gusty sigh and shook his head. "Need I say more?"
