Wish I had no expectations
But I expect, you expect, we expect

In a way, it was comforting to find others almost as lost as Addy felt. At least she wasn’t the only person three years out from school without something solid beneath their feet. While she was infinitely proud of Brígh, at the same time, Addy wished her life and career were as stable as her best friends. All those years of meticulous planning to feel stuck in the middle of nowhere, and yet others who hardly planned and flew by the seat of their pants appeared to have it all. Hand it not been Brígh, her best friend who was always in her corner—Addy might not have been able to deal with the envy.
Addy’s eyes shifted to give Cheese a look. Jimmie Blishwick? Friends with anyone? Merlin, that would be the day. There was a better chance of Addy’s mother showing up to cheer Addy on the bench wearing Harpies’ fan gear. The thought was amusing but also sunk Addy’s mood again. Admitting to herself how much this bothered her had been difficult, which let her understand her older brother better after all these years. But before these thoughts could totally consume her, Addy felt Cheese grab her hand. ”What do you—“ But he pulled her along through the flat without explanation. Part of Addy wanted to protest, but the other half knew she still trusted this boy with everything.
Before she knew it, the icy air was hitting her face as she absorbed the view. They both paused, taking in the view and one another. It wasn’t like when she was with Jack, who was full of spontaneous adventure, but butterflies filled her stomach, nonetheless. The stoic confidence in his expression as he faced her and took a few steps closer took her breath away faster than the frigid air. But not before a mass of bubbles hit her face. ”Cheese—“ Oh, this was what he had in mind? Pulled out of her momentary daze, Addy narrowed a look at the form running away from her, and she smirked and shook her head. ”Hey!” He knew better than to start something he couldn’t finish. Wand in hand, Addy sprinted after him, easily ignoring how the air burned her lungs as she pointed her wand, sending streamers at him.
