Flames engulfed the house as a younger Burt rushed to his house screaming his wife and kids names. More Aurors arrived and attempted to douse the flames as Burt fought past them to get in the house. His wand in his wand he slashed the air making the flames leap back and stay away from, at the foot of the stairs right inside the main entrance laid his daughters bodies. His wife body laid just a few feet from theirs, the flames ate at her arms as legs as Burt just lay on his knees crying and screaming. He opened his eyes at once and came back from reliving the memory. Tears trickled down the old man’s face as he looked at his desk. He had started to have a flashback to that awful night, when he arrived home to see his house burning to the ground, had he only arrived sooner he could have saved them. His hands shook and he started to cry harder as he thought about how he should have protected them. His position, his need to power and influence had gotten them killed. He let out a roar of frustration and threw a book across the room.
Bellows from portraits above his head told him to have a calm mind and restrain himself. ”SHUT IT” bellowed Burt as he got up from his chair and walked over to a potion case near the front door. He fumbled through potion bottles looking for the correct one as he whipped tears down his eyes. Shaking he uncorked the bottle and scoffed it all down, and tossed the bottle aside. He shook his head and gave a large sigh as he tried to regain his posture. No one can know about these breakdowns thought Burt as he made his way back to his desk picking up the book. He could feel the effects of his own made potion starting to calm his emotions and he could feel the tears turning away. The breakdowns had started to occur ever since that horrible night, for some reason he could not move past the deaths of his family, but could anyone really?
He sat back down at his desk and attempted to work on the paper works he had before him. The Board of Governors had requested him to submit protection plan for the students and the school, as well as provide proof that the school is protected. He was growing frustrating with the board, on how they had been almost micro managing his short time as Headmaster already, it had only been a month and Burt felt suffocated. What they wanted was easy , however it was not easy when they objected to his plans and provided input on stuff that was not going to happen. The option of Dementors on the grounds had come up from the board, and Burt had objected to it. He hated Dementors, and he would not for any such purpose allow them to be on the grounds, let alone in the castle. Looking up from the paperwork he eyed the door as he heard the Griffin Statue below start to move, he wondered who was coming to see him on this early morning.

It was early in the morning but Walton was already up. He had received a letter from his superiors letting him know that it was time to tell the new headmaster of his status as an international Auror. He sighed this was the only other person who was going to know about his status besides, himself, Neville Longbottom, and Harry Potter. Just the other week he had been given full authorization, to do whatever was needed in order to put a stop to all of this. There were many things that he knew, that he shouldn't. He was going to have a talk with the headmaster.
Walton arrived at the statue that guarded the the entrance to the headmaster's office. But before he gave the password he heard a roar of frustration something hit a wall. "Well that is odd. Time to find out what that was all about." He then gave the password to the statue and he went up to the headmaster's office. He knocked on the door as he pushed it open. He saw the headmaster sitting there at his desk. This was the man who had given him the position as head of Gryffindor house after Neville had given it up, because of his increased Auror duties. Walton was more than happy to take the position since it would help out Neville. Headmaster Reynolds was calm during that time. Now what Walton saw was a man obviously dealing with something that bothered him quite a bit. Walton quickly took note of the room one thing that he noticed was an empty potion bottle near a cabinet.
He turned his gaze back to the headmaster who was looking in his direction. But he also noticed that there were many papers on the headmaster's desk. He took a few steps forward and stopped in front of the desk and said "Sir, there is something that I need to discuss with you." Walton waved his hand in the direction of the empty potion bottle and he asked. "But first I need to know if everything is alright?" He could tell that there was something bothering the Headmaster. He had an idea of what it might be, for he had been given information on all of the professors and staff of the school. He had to know they past of each one. He just hoped that he would be able to help the headmaster come to terms with whatever was bothering him.

As he heard the statue of the Griffin blocking the way to his office start moving he looked in the direction of the door and saw it open. A professor walked into his office, it was the Defense Against Dark Arts Professor and also the newly instated Head of Gryffindor house, one of Burt’s first moves as Headmaster. His name was Walton Grey, and Burt had always like him because of his passion for his subject and desires to teach the students how to protect themselves, things he had noticed the last three years of being a colleague of his. He saw the professor look in the direction of the empty and potion bottle and inside Burt just started cursing at him. However his face at first showing his anger and emotion had now went completely emotionless.
He listened as the younger man spoke than asked if everything was alright as he waved over to the direction of the empty potion bottle. His emotionless face slowly turned to a face of disgust and anger; he gave a long sigh and looked at the man right in the eyes. He was angry at himself, how could he have been so stupid to leave the potion bottle in plain sight. He had not expected anyone to visit this early and yet here was this Professor, who was brave enough to confront Burt on if something was wrong because he found an empty potion bottle. He was Headmaster of Hogwarts, this man should be damn grateful of him and not asks questions at all, was the first reaction that had been racing through his mind. However; he didn’t feel the need to go off on the younger man before him and destroy him, something about him made Burt feel off. It was his old Auror intentions he would say. Getting up and walking over to the potion bottle, he picked it up and placed it in the potion cabinet locking it all the way. He withdrew his wand and murmured a few spells under his breath and waved his wand, a sort of silvery mist filled the room than was gone. No one can hear what I tell him thought Burt as he motioned to a chair for the Professor to sit down, Burt taking his seat in his chair again.
”Homemade potion, helps deal with some emotional problems. Lately it’s been rough; the board of Governors has been riding me on protection plans considering recent events. They however continue to reject my plans and insert their ideas” said Burt his voice was calm, but there was still a little edge to it. He still was not happy with the man confronting him on the issue and was trying his best to not it let get the best of him. He gave a sigh then he remembered that the man had said he had something to tell Burt, before he asked him about the blasted bottle. He eyed the man closely and wondered what it could be that he need to tell him, it better not be more bad news. ” You have something to tell me? If your resigning I’ll just kill you now and dump your body in the lake”said Burt as he started to go through paper work again. His last part of his sentence had been part of his sarcastic blunt humor, some would find it funny, and others sometimes have said it is rude. He started writing on of the pieces of parchment as he waited for an answer from Walton. The protections charm, encasing them in a cone of silence, making it unable for anyone to hear what they say.

Walton noticed the emotions and anger that flashed across the Headmaster's face. He knew that the man was angry at himself for being careless. It was a sensitive mater and Walton knew that it would be difficult for the headmaster to talk about. The man before him had been the head of the Auror department here in Britain. Walton knew what had happened but didn't say anything and he wasn't surprised when the headmaster said ”Homemade potion, helps deal with some emotional problems..." Well that explained the bottle, but what had made the man throw a something across the room. It might have been a bad memory of what had happened or was it something else.
The board of Governors was a real joke. They had no clue as to what protection the school needed. Walton knew just the man who could put a stop to the stupid efforts of the board of Governors. "Sir as for the board of Governors, they have no clue as to what they are talking about. Especially when it comes to matters of protection of anything. I mean they wanted to put dementors on the grounds and in the school." He sighed before he took a seat and continued. "If you want I know just the person who can make sure that the board of Governors accepts your plans. Just say the word and it will happen." He knew that it might sound really odd that someone younger than the Headmaster would know the one person who could get the approval for the plans that the Headmaster had come up with.
He chuckled at the last statement the Headmaster said. It really was quite funny. "Yes I do have something to tell you. And I don't wish to have my body lie at the bottom of the lake forever." He looked around at the protection charm that the Headmaster had used. It was a good one and would make sure that they weren't overheard. Walton took a deep breath before he said "What I am going to tell you is something that is only known to myself, Neville Longbottom, and Harry Potter. I am not just a simple Defense against the Dark Arts Professor. I am an International Auror, and I have been given full authorization to do whatever is necessary, to find whoever is killing all of these people and put a stop to it. I will be here at the school to help protect it against whatever may come." There was something else on his mind and it had been bothering him since the start of term. "There is something else, I have a feeling that whoever is the mastermind behind all of these murders is here at Hogwarts. Now I know it isn't any of the professors or staff here. I know because I have used legilimency on most of them. Others I didn't need to since I already now where they stand in all of this." It was a lot to take in. He knew that but the Headmaster had to know of what he was going to be doing. "Also, is there anything that you need help with concerning the protections of the school?"
"I am sorry to say this but I know all about what happened to your family. I am truly sorry. If you need help to cope with it besides resorting to your potions know that I am here to help, or listen or whatever you need." Walton knew that was all he could really do for right now. Those potions probably kept the man before him from being depressed and Walton assumed that the potion that had been in that bottle was to stop the memories from surfacing.

He listened as Walton talked about the board of Governors and mentioned their dementor plan and then he offered Burt help if he needed it to make sure protection plans got approved. Curiosity sparked in his mind because this was not any normal Professor at all. Burt had already felt there was something else to the man and now when he had offered with a task considering his age and that he wasn’t the Headmaster made him start to really consider who the professor was before him. He gave a sly smile to Walton and just looked down for a second, as he was laughing on the inside at the offer as well. The offer might come of help in the future but, if that and happened then it meant Burt had lost the influence had on the board. Acquiring the Headmaster position was not easy and he had been a long shot but he had influenced the governors by various means, some involved money others involved not so subtle means. ” Dementors will never step foot on these grounds let alone this castle, and thank you however; I am confident they will be accepting my final draft of the plans”said Burt his voice was still calm, yet almost emotionless as well.
He leaned in and crossed his hands together as he listened to what was coming out of Walton’s mouth next, it answered all of Burt’s questions automatically. It turned out that he was an International Auror, which was a very high ranked up Auror giving authority in all countries; it was an agreement with other magical governments across the world. He had a feeling the man gave off Auror qualities but he did not expect this rank. Being a former Head Auror he was aware of the International Aurors and had worked with them before, admiring their use of different spells then he knew. He apparently was on a mission as well to help prevent any attacks by any means necessary which did help, somewhat. As long as his professor showed restraint and didn’t cause too many headaches for him, there would be no problems. ” I had a feeling there was something about you, the International Aurors are have some of the greatest Aurors ever, an honor to meet another one” said Burt in a serious and affirmative tone. He had always taken his job as Head Auror seriously and loved it; he missed it, but not the risks that came with it.
His eyes showed fear as Walton than told his theory he felt the master mind behind these killings was at Hogwarts but said they had not been professor or staff. When he gave that he had used legilimency to help him, Burt quickly made a mental note to watch himself and his thoughts around the man now. Burt himself also was trained in legilimency and was very good at it, however he was not going to let the man know. There was a troubling thing that sat with Burt after the man made all of his comments; it was the fact that he said it was not any of the staff, so that left a student perhaps. ”You say none of the staff, than who do you suggest? A student?” asked Burt his voice having more of an edge to it now, at the thought that the threat could be at Hogwarts. He gave a sigh and started to cite of what the Professor could help with ”Double check protection spells, they should all be good but go ahead anyways. Prepare your students for the worst, if Hogwarts become under siege just like before but even worse. Parents might hate me but, the students have a right to know if someone’s planning to kill them”responded Burt as he pushed some of the papers aside of his desk. He planned on asking for Auror protection at the school in the future, as well as doubling professor patrols. He had a meeting with all Hogwarts ghosts and portrait members, earlier in the week, to report any suspecting behavior, now he had a thousand eyes watching the castle for him.
When the man brought up about how he could help Burt cope with what happened to his family without the use of the potions he just looked away. Walton apparently knew of the murders which did not surprise him, he had seen front page news stories for week of the murder blaring “HEAD AUROR FAMILY BRUTALY KILLED”. The subject was not an easy subject for him and he did not wish to discuss it with anyone at least not at this point his life. ”Thank you Professor. I will assume you will not tell anyone or anything of the potions. We don’t need secrets being exposed”said Burt giving him quick little smile as he leaned back in his chair and started to think more of the theory that his professor had presented him with, it was a truly terrifying one.

Walton nodded as he listened to the Headmaster state ” Dementors will never step foot on these grounds let alone this castle, and thank you however; I am confident they will be accepting my final draft of the plans” Now that was interesting. The man before him that with little emotion at all. There was something odd going. That last part of the statement made him wonder exactly what had the Headmaster done to get his position, and what was he going to do to make sure that the board of Governors accepted his final draft. It was another thing that he would have to figure out but now was not the time to do so.
“Thanks.” Walton said when the Headmaster said that it was an honor to meet another International Auror. There was fear in the eyes of the Headmaster, which he had noticed when he voiced his theory as to who the master mind could be. But there was something else that caught his attention. There was something in those eyes that said more than just fear. It was almost like a flash, in those eyes as if the Headmaster had decided on something. Walton knew he had to be careful and be suspicious of everyone. After all that was his job. He was glad that he had already taken precautions to guard his mind against any other legilimens. So he knew he was safe on that front. He couldn’t say any more as to what he was capable of, or what he could do with magic.
“Yes I do suggest that the mastermind is most likely a student. Which one I am not sure, but it is a possibility." Suggesting that the person who was responsible was a student, pissed him off, but it was the only other possibility that he had come up with. And he was sure that they had help on the outside as well. Walton knew things were going to get worse before they got any better. “Alright I can do that. And I agree the students do have a right to know. I will do what I can to prepare the students for the worst.” It was necessary to teach the students what he knew, well not everything.
“Your welcome Professor. My lips are sealed.” Oh he knew what was going on. But he wouldn’t lose the trust of the man before him, he did not need an enemy on the staff. He just sat there staring at some random portrait of a previous head master which had been glaring at him for some time. Granted that one always glared at him whenever he ended up in the office, for one thing or another, during his time as a student here. One would think that the portrait would stop glaring at him now that he was a professor here, but no. It was still the same.

Walton had answered his question with the answer that he did not want to hear. That his theory of the mastermind behind the attacks, was at Hogwarts, did include that it was possibility a student. He started down at his desk for a few seconds as he let the words sink into his mind. The fact that a student could be behind all of this greatly worried Burt because it sounded like a brand new Voldemort story. It would make his job even worse now because he couldn’t just start using unforgivable curses on students now. He looked back at his Professor who agreed with him on that the students did need to know and that he would do what he could to prepare them for the worst. He gave him a swift nod than got up from his desk and started to pace back and forth behind his desk, his hand on his chin as he thought of what precautions he would need to take now.
”We can’t rule any house at, any student out at all.” said Burt, he hurt him to make such an assumption. However, he felt that if it was a student it could be anyone, even a Gryffindor, as this was someone who was extremely skilled and smart to be behind these attacks even with outside help. It made sense that it was a student considering the killing on the Hogwarts Express, however; that just meant the castle was not safe, a threat was on the inside. He looked back at Walton who said his “lips would be sealed” about the potions, which he just gave a nod and a serious look as “ don’t go back on your word”. ”All students were inspected before they came into the grounds, nothing had been found of any dark items. However me and you both know, you can conceal them easily, be on the lookout, particularly something to disrupt protection charmssaid Burt as he begun to think of a former object that he came upon during his missions as an Auror.
The mission had been a search and seizure from a convicted criminal’s family member’s house; it had several dark magical items. The one Burt remembered was a skull that glowed immensely black and its eyes were rubies. The item he was told could conceal dark magic and also disrupts protection enchantments. He brought his thoughts back to his office as he saw Walton look at a portrait of a former Headmaster who was glaring at Walton. He shook his head and gave a little frustrated sigh; his predecessors had not been helpful lately, rambling on about how what they would do. Truth he only carried to hear one speak, and the portrait itself was empty for unknown reason. He looked at the glaring previous headmaster and spoke up ”Your glaring eyes only tell so much, please speak up. Don’t get silent now, ” as he pointed at the portrait glaring at Walton. Then with swift movement he turned around withdrawing his wand and, pointed at another previous headmaster that was sleeping, and flicked his wand at its portrait. The portrait shook and the elderly man glared at Burt. ”Good morning sleeping beauty, go to your portrait at the Ministry and let them know I would like to met with our stupid git of a Minister” replied Burt pocketing his wand and sitting back down at desk and gave a sigh. Why didn’t I just stay at the Ministry? thought Burt as he looked to the ceiling and thought about of another meeting with the idiot Minister.

”All students were inspected before they came into the grounds, nothing had been found of any dark items. However me and you both know, you can conceal them easily, be on the lookout, particularly something to disrupt protection charms." Walton knew that it was a possibility that some one could have snuck a dark item into the school, it had been done before. He would have to add extra wards to detect dark objects. He had already been devising a way to work on getting the wards up. "Sir, there are several spells and wards that can be put in place to detect such objects and let us know where they are, if anyone has brought them into the school." The last thing he needed was for a dark object to enter the school that could possibly disrupt the wards and other protections that had been put in place already. But there was more that could be added, they just had to do it.
Walton chuckled a bit when the Headmaster turned to glare at the portrait that had been glaring at Walton the whole time. ”Your glaring eyes only tell so much, please speak up. Don’t get silent now, ” Apparently the man in the portrait didn't like that and walked out of it. Walton could only wonder as to why it did that. He watched as the Headmaster woke up a portrait that had been asleep, and told it to go let the ministry know that he wanted to meet with the minister. The new minister was a joke, if you asked Walton. He was glad that he didn't have to listen to that retarded man who would acknowledge what was going on. "If you don't mind me asking are you really sure that the minister will listen to anything that you have to tell him? Especially if it is to tell him off for not acknowledging what is happening?" They were simple questions but he knew the answers would either be blunt and short or long. It really did depend on who you asked. The minister wasn't even cooperating with Walton's superiors of the International Aurors. The man was really stupid, and everyone knew that.

He sat down in his chair stroking his chin as he looked at Walton and listened to what he said about spells and wards to detect dark items his thoughts drifted. He had a conversation with friend of his, one whom was coming to teach at the school now, by floo power just a few days ago. They had talked about the possibility of bewitching a dark item to seek out other dark energy items, believing it may work better than most devices designed to protect and detect dark magic. His friend agreed with the overall theory using dark magic to find dark magic. Burt simply nodded at Walton as he finished about using the spells and wards to find any such items, which they would. This little side project would stay between Burt and his old friend; he knew the other professor’s would not been happy with using the theory. Some believed to not even meddle in the dark arts but, Burt had the view “it’s not the magic, it’s the ones who wield it”. ” Yes let’s set them up. Will use them, they should work”said Burt not really paying to much attention to the subject his thoughts still distracted about the item, what one to use, and if it could even work the way they wanted too.
The man that had been glaring at Walton had simply glared and walked out of its portrait when Burt had glared at it him and told him to speak up. He rolled his eyes in response and shook his head and looked at Walton real quick, "He's not happy with my methods, I suppose"said Burt. A smile little smirk played upon the old man’s face than disappeared as he listened to what his professor was saying. He was not happy with the way Walton directly confronted people with questions they might not like, well strike that he didn’t like that it was being done to him. His eyes become very cold at that moment and gave a very hard look at the man before him. ” Apparently I do, or I expect something positive or I would have not requested for a meeting Mr. Grey” responded Burt his voice was calm despite, the coldness that was in his eyes. He did not expect the Minister to listen to him, however Burt had responsibilities to attend to, and keep appearances up as well. He did not expect others to understand, they didn’t have the kind of personal agenda he had. His icy blue eyes did not leave the man before him, they stayed fixed on him as Burt waited for Walton’s response.

”Apparently I do, or I expect something positive or I would have not requested for a meeting Mr. Grey” As cold as the answer was, Walton didn't really care, but to him it seemed like there was more to it than the fact that the question he had asked was straight forward and to the point. To him it seemed that the man before him had a personal agenda to keep. "Of course sir." Walton kept his voice calm and emotionless just like the rest of his face, which was void of all expression. He definitely had to keep an eye out for anything unusual that the Headmaster or anyone might do, and this was close to fitting that bill. He did have his suspicions but at the same time he knew that the man would do anything to protect the school and it's students.
Walton could only guess what methods that the Headmaster was using that the previous heads of the school would disapprove of. "He's not happy with my methods, I suppose" Well that is interesting. He had noticed that several of the portraits had been empty when he walked in. He quickly glanced around the room taking quick note of which ones, especially the one behind the Headmaster. "Sir, are there any suggestions as to what spells, curses, jinxes, etc. that you think that I should cover in my classes?" Walton already knew what he was going to teach the students, but he wanted to see if there were any particular spells that the Headmaster had in mind that he should teach the students. His attention was now on the Headmaster and the empty portrait that was behind the man before him. As he sat there waiting for an answer, he noticed the portrait behind the headmaster now had it's occupant in it which winked letting him know that he would meet Walton at his other portrait. The occupant of said portrait then left again after getting a slight nod from Walton. He noticed that the Headmaster was still looking at him, but he also knew that the man had no idea that the occupant of the now vacant portrait had even showed his up. It all happened very fast. But Walton knew what it meant, there was something that wasn't right.

How Walton’s face was void of all emotion, did impress Burt very much so as it was something he had mastered as well, just was not as good at it recently. Recently he felt he had been off his game, maybe because these attacks had never been part of his plans. Vile piece of filth, they dare mess with my plans, my future, MY power thought Burt as he stared directly at the man before him. Of course his thoughts were on the person who was behind these attacks, even if it was a student, if Burt caught them a Dementors kiss they will be begging for after a conversation with him. His thoughts directed back to Walton as he responded with an ”Of course sir”. The reply was in a calm tone and voice, which went perfectly with the emotionless face, Burt was truly impressed. He had already been impressed with Walton before because of his enthusiasm of teaching and strong desire to protect the students. Exactly why he had promoted him to take the Gryffindor Head of House position, he knew Walton would do everything to protect his house but, also all the students.
His thoughts now started going through every spell, curse, jinx, counter-curse that he knew or could think of at least on hand, to have the students learn as Walton had just asked him. He knew Walton was very skilled in his field of magic, and figured that he would cover basically everything. However; one thing did stand out with Burt and he felt the students needed to know of them, see them, understand them, if they had not already and that was: The Unforgivable Curses. How unforgivable they where, Burt had used them plenty of times, the lesser two, not the killing one, that was for rare purposes. Of course he was widely known to be vocal supporter of Aurors being allowed to use them and dark magic against dark wizards, in times of need. His tenure of Head Auror, had allowed Aurors to do so for five years, until he was forced out of the job, and promoted to second in command of the whole department. ” I have very much confidence in your skills in this subject and I think you know what to teach them. I do have however one request, parents may not care for it, and you may not either.” said Burt, his voice was calm as he leaned a little bit into his chair and looked right at Walton.
”Teach them the Unforgivable curses, show them, they need to understand them and not in theory, use a test subject. These are dark times coming and I’d rather they learn an unforgivable curse in class then a Voldemort copy cat teaching them, by using them as the test subject. I will handle any issues with parents and our beloved Minister, however I think parents would be the scarier one. This is however a request Professor not a directive. Your class” said Burt and as he finished he put his hands in the air and sat back in his seat and waited for Walton’s response. He could guess everyone response to what he just proposed from parents, Ministry, the Minister; hell the press would even have a field day with it. However; he could not guess how his Professor’s response would be to his request, and even through it was a request he extremely hoped Walton would, at least to his seventh years if none of the others. Teaching of the unforgivable curses was to be theory, or textbook only, not a professor performing them in front of students to show them what they could do instead of reading about it. He sat there as he waited for Walton to respond, hoping this would go in his favor.

Your class” Upon hearing this Walton immediately could see how parents would not want their children learning about these spells, even going as far as teaching them how to. That was one thing he had decided not to cover it. He might tell them about the curses if asked but there was no way in hell would he teach them those and definitely not use any of them or anything else as a test subject. He hated having to use them, even though he was allowed to do so he refrained from doing so most of the time unless it became necessary.
"I will think upon the matter, for as you said it is my class." Walton could see where the Headmaster was coming from. However something was telling him not to even teach them to his students. He had felt this before when he had contemplated doing so or not. He sat there staring at the Headmaster for a few moments as he thought about what could be done. It was never a good thing to teach people the unforgivables. There was much to think about on this matter.

The answer that Walton gave was one that Burt had suspected might come from him, he gave a slight nod to him, it was a slow and curt one. His facial expression however did not change it was just emotionless, truly the answer did not sit well with him at all. He was sure Walton would know that of course so it didn’t matter if he did show emotion, but Burt just did not feel like showing any at all. As far as he saw them kids needed to learn the curses because, they would learn them eventually in the real world. He did not believe teaching to a Ministry approved or regulated guideline; they were guided merely so the students would pass their OWLS and NEWTS. If his students did not learn them now, they might just learn them in a very harsh way. If it struck fear into them then that would be a good thing, fear to stay away from wielders of the dark arts. However; it was Walton’s class his subject and in charge of how he taught unless, Burt found it grossly unrelated to the subject. He did not take kindly to someone trying to manage how he taught his course when he was a Professor just months ago, so he knew how it could feel.
”Of course, all I can ask is that you take it under consideration”said Burt as he grabbed a few papers from one end of the desk and put them in one of the drawers. He shifted in his chair a little bit and looked up as one of the empty portraits now had it’s former occupant back that had went to the Ministry for Burt. ” The Minister shall owl you a time he is available, the guy had no idea who I was!?” called out the tiny plump bald man, Burt gave a nod and smile to the man. ”Our Minister is an extremely smart man isn’t he?” asked Burt sarcastically giving a little laugh at himself. He looked back to Walton and decied he would see if he had introduced himself to Vincent yet. ”I was wondering if you had met my replacement yet, Vincent Stone he is also the new Slytherin Head of House an old friend of mine. Just got back in the country he did, been living all over the world, then was in Paris training the French Ministry of Magic aurors. Introduce yourself if you haven’t, if you could for me”said Burt giving him a small smile and nod as he awaited Walton’s response.

Walton nodded his head when the Headmaster said ”Of course, all I can ask is that you take it under consideration” There was no way that he was going to teach them how to preform the spells, at least not in class. However he was going to seek the advice of Harry. He already made up his mind that he wasn't going to teach those spells, but he would request a meeting with Harry at some point to get his opinion on the matter. He let out a laugh when the portrait had said that the minister had no idea who he was. "Smart indeed." Walton said sarcastically, in response to the question the Headmaster asked. The minister was really dense.
”I was wondering if you had met my replacement yet, Vincent Stone he is also the new Slytherin Head of House an old friend of mine." Of course Walton had met the new professor. "Only in passing Headmaster." He may have only met the man in passing but in that short span of time he had already used legilimency on the man, figuring out all he could. "I will introduce myself to him since we didn't have time to talk earlier. I was also informed that he was helping to train the french Aurors." He would have to get to know Stone on a more personal basis. Walton looked back at the portrait that had been glaring at him earlier to find that it's occupant had come back, and was glaring at him once more and making rude hand gestures towards him. He turned his attention back to the Headmaster, ignoring the portrait, and asked "I don't want to pry but what are you going to talk to the minister about?" Walton didn't need to ask the question as he would be visiting the minister along with one of his superiors anyways. But it never hurt to ask now did it.

He slowly nodded as he listened to Walton speak of Vincent saying he had only met him in passing, and would have to introduce himself since they had not had time to talk earlier. He nodded once more when Walton brought up that he heard Vince had been training the French Aurors, which was true. From what Burt had learned he had taught them advanced transfiguration and advanced dark magic, which Vince had described as “extremely dark and corrupting”. He was sure that there had been more because Vince had said he could not reveal everything the French Ministry had asked him to train their Aurors in. ”Sounds good. Yes for the last eight years or so not entirely sure I believe it was some advanced forms of Transfiguration and dark magic, but again I could be wrong” said Burt giving a small smile. He looked up and noticed that the former occupant of the portrait that had been glaring at Walton had appeared once again and making rude hand gestures to Walton. He raised an eyebrow and looked at portrait and then looked back to Walton and spoke up ”Interesting, I think he hates you more than me” giving a slight laugh and smiling not even, bothering to look back at the portrait.
His laugh of course came to an end when the ever so curious Walton Grey asked about Burt’s meeting with the Minister. Curiosity killed the young wizard, and satisfaction wasn’t obtained thought Burt at first, he never appreciated someone trying to pry themselves into his business, even if they felt they weren’t. He just gave the Professor a hard serious look and raised his eyebrows once again to him. He was starting to wonder what his true intentions were, the paranoia of losing his power started to kick into him. ”He’s working with them all, to get my power and to stop me. Get rid of him!!!” cried a little voice in Burt’s head as he started thinking about different situations in his head of people finding out his true intentions on stuff. He gave a little sigh, as his mind started to regain composure and blocked the small paranoid voice out. ”Protection orders, educational standards, the board and I wish to make some changes with the Ministry education standards. Hopefully I can get the Minister to move on education changes, since according to him we don’t have a crisis” responded Burt, it was not really a lie at all and his voice was perfectly calm. He had in fact talked with the Board of Governors on some polices he wanted changed, which they supported. He gave a smile and looked at Walton waiting for his response, weather he believed Burt or not he did not care. The meeting with the Minister had everything to do with what he just said, however the meeting was not his true intention of going to the Ministry, at least not the meeting with the Minister. Of course he wasn’t going to mention that to anyone, concealing the truth from prying minds.
