There are not particular hexes or charms put on this journal simply because it is my documentation of my favorite creatures or creatures I have encountered and am doing my own independent study on. Nothing to hide.
Within the pages, I have included images of each creature in question and my own knowledge of them as well as the Ministry's classification of the danger of the creature. All information is privy to change, especially if I have yet to discover one face to face. This journal serves merely as personal reference for my studies and will accompany on my travels as a future magizoologist.

PYGMY PUFFMinistry of Magic Classification: XX Pygmy Puffs are small, harmless creatures with big personalities. I have learned a lot from owning two with very different personalities. Fizzio, while shy and fairly well mannered, is usually outshone by the much more stubborn Quinn. Both, however, make great companions, and get along wonderfully with Oscar! While Pygmy Puffs are usually only pink or purple, Fizzio is yellow while Quinn if forest green. I received them during a Care of Magical Creatures lesson at the very beginning of seventh year before the teacher regrettably left Hogwarts. To this day, the lesson sticks with me as one of my favorites. Originally, I only had Fizzio, whom I opted to keep after the lesson. Quinn, however, was kindly gifted to me by Carcer, and what a treat she is!
Pygmy Puffs did not require much research before owning one. They really are just little, cute, fluffy balls that roll around and squeak at you for attention (or in Quinn's case, charge at you.) I did, however, find out that they were just a miniature version of a Puffskein and share many of the same properties and attributes. They love to cuddle, they are quite good at scavenging, and they sound like they are purring when they are happy. However, I have not yet discovered whether or not they eat bogeys while humans sleep.
There was speculation when they were first bred that their breeding was in violation of the Ban on Experimental Breeding since the only difference they truly had from Puffskeins other than size was their color and the creatures are 100% harmless, so it wasn't much of an offence.
Owning these creatures has been great fun. I hope to learn more from Fizz and Quinn. And I hope I could maybe one day speak with George Weasley about asking how it is possible to get different colored Puffs. I'm not much of a breeder myself, but the process in which they were created fascinates me.

FLOBBERWORMMinistry of Magic Classification: X Flobberworms are around ten-inches long in length and brown, also producing a shiny mucus around their bodies. Each end of its body is identical to the other and both ends also chew and eat vegetation, especially the lettuce and cabbage that grows out on the grounds of Hogwarts. Either end also exudes mucus that is used to assist in thickening potions.
Aside from eating, these creatures do not move very much. They also do not have any teeth. These attribute to the creature ranking the lowest possible ranking for the MoM creature classification. In short, these creatures are horribly boring.
The flobberworm prefers to live in damp ditches (or gardens that are watered regularly, so they don't have to ever leave and can be fed easily!) We had to raise a flobberworm for a term in third year Care of Magical Creatures class and the creature required very little maintenance (definitely one of the weaker lessons.) However, flobberworms do die if overfed. Which is why it is best for them to be kept in the wild where they can feed and eat as they please. Or, be monitored by a magizoologist who knows the strict diet requirements.
Along with their mucus assisting in thickening potions, flobberworms are one of the few living creatures capable of being summoned by a summoning charm. They are also edible, as flobberworm fritters have been a staple in Hogwarts lunches for many years.
Over all, there isn't quite much to report with these creatures. They are quite boring, but it is a fascinating sort of boring. And the way they consume food from both ends really is a sight to behold.
