@delisle Papers, tests, relationships, Quidditch, and family. Everything was all collapsing on him. Well, not really. But that was what it felt like. In reality things were just all happening. He had five papers due next week, three tests, Cordy was dating Ethan, Quidditch... well he didn't have time to practice, and his dad was on his back about all of it. Why did things pile up the way that they did? He piled all of his books into his backpack, he probably should have put them all in the order. He liked things to be in order. But honestly, he didn't care right now. Pulling his strap over his head, he went out into the hallway stuffing his hands in his pockets. Then he bumped into someone, and his bag split sending his books out all over the floor. "Ah, crap. I'm sorry I-- Masin!" He sputtered. I'm sorry, I didn't see you I was just.. in my own world." He gave her an apologetic look and then bent down to start picking up his books.

Masin was going to crush Casey Finnigan. She was fuming, arms crossed over a book against her chest as she marched down the hallway. People parted for the angry woman, for they knew better than to get in her way when she was like this. Not too mention Quidditch practice had her chest burning and her ears ringing. Cordie had worked them hard today. She turned the corner not even bothering to look as she rammed into someone. His books and her books flew about and she looked up, catching the eye of Liam Davies. A dear friend and generally nice guy. She let out a breath of relief that it was him. "No, Liam, it's totally my fault," she bent down to assist him in picking up his books. "You okay? You seem a little... rushed." @liam

Liam gave Masin a rather exhausted grin as he switched from picking up his books to picking hers up. He stacked them with the largest book on the bottom and going up to the smallest.
"Really, I'm sorry." he said as he stacked the books. "I just wasn't looking. I am just... I just have a lot on my mind." He handed the books to Masin. "Here you go." He wasn't OCD, he just really liked things to be done in order. It drove his roommates a little crazy, but sometimes that was fun. He would often organized their nightstands just to torment them, when he had the time of course. Which right now he didn't. He really needed someone to talk to, to get all this crap off of his chest. His eyes shot up to Masin's.
"Hey, could I... talk to you?" maybe this wasn't the best idea, too late now.

As they helped each other, he apologized and she just shook her head. "Stop it, it's fine," she muttered as he handed her one of her books and she gave him his. Then he was asking if they could talk and Masin raised an eyebrow at him. They weren't the closest of friends, but they had sort of ended up in the same group. She considered him a friend, though, even though he was a bit of a crazy nerd.
"Sure, Liam." She answered him as she stood up, "what about?" she asked.

@delisle Liam sighed, where to even start. He looked from side to side then grabbed her arm and pulled her into an empty classroom. Well he thought it was a classroom, but once he had pulled both he and Masin in, it turned out to be more of a large closet. Not sure why that was on the fifth floor, but oh well. He dropped his bag and ran a hand through his hair. "Well, honestly, it seems like everything is just exploding in my face. And I just... I don' even know where to start." that was the truth, but he so badly wanted to do something to get all his stress out and talking seemed like the best idea!

Liam was pulling her into a closet. All right. That was... interesting... she let him do it, though, because she knew that they both really needed a bit of a break from the crowded hall anyway. She hoped nobody had seen though. She didn't need those kinds of questions going around. She watched him drop his bag but kept hers under her arm. That floor might not be very clean and she liked her bag the way it was. Clean.
Then he was running his fingers through his hair, talking as though he was going to explode. She nodded, "I don't know either, Liam. Everything is... a bit messy, isn't it?" she knew that Cordie had feelings for this kid, and that was making this all the more awkward. Especially with Ethan and everything.

@masin Liam sighed squeezing the bridge of his nose. He let his hand drop and looked back at her. "Messy doesn't even start to cover it. Masin, I don't even know what to do. I mean, you are best friends with Cordie and" he paused, embarrassed. "I mean... whatever. And then Ethan is just... sorry." he sighed. He really didn't know where to start, or what to say. Maybe talking wasn't he best thing for him to do. He sighed, leaning back. Looking up at her and shrugged. "You don't really need to listen to me."

Cordie, Ethan... she wasn't surprised by the names he was dropping. She was thinking about them too, and Casey. Stupid Casey. She rolled her eyes, leaning back against the wall and shaking her head. "No, Liam, come on. Don't be stupid. I want to listen. We're... friends," and in that moment she decided that they officially were, and she wasn't going to just see him as Ethans best friend or Cordies inappropriate love interest anymore. No, she was friends with Liams Davies now, even if he was a big nerd. But, then again, so is Ethan. "I know Cordie has been... confusing. I'm sorry about that," she said, looking up at him through her eyelashes.

@delisle Liam shook his head. Masin was so nice to listen, especially since he needed to talk... or something.Cordie was confusing. But he assumed she would be confusing even if they were together. She was a girl. He looked up at Masin, suddenly he didn't want to talk anymore. She was looking at him through her long lashes, and the closet seemed to get smaller. His pulse quickened and he didn't think about what he was doing, he just did it. Pushing off of the wall, he took the one step it took to cover the distance between the two of them and put his hand behind her head, fingers tangled in her hair. He didn't break eye-contact the whole time, that is until his lips touched hers. He pulled her closer to him with a hand at the small of her back and kissed her. (HAHAH! Happening!)

Masin was not expecting what happened next. Was he kissing her!? He was rapidly closing the gap between them and she didn't even have any time to think. He was wrapping a hand in her hair, catching her back, pulling her close to him until their lips were touching. Her eyes were wide open for a brief second before she found herself melting into his touch, leaning back into his hand. Her hands flattened against the front of his robes, at his chest, and she clutched the fabric there, gluing herself to him. She broke off for a short second to let out a gasp, mostly due to surprise but partly due to the fact that she was out of breath by the sudden intense nature of the kissing. Then she went back in for more, completely turning off her brain. @liam (I COULDN'T PICK WHICH GIF) and this pic is awesome

@delisle It was hours later, or maybe minutes. Perhaps years. But when Liam broke away from Masin's lips he was panting, his hands on either side of her face and his forehead resting against hers. "I..." the words stopped in his mouth. What would he say? I'm sorry I just made out with you for who knows how long? No that was stupid. so he just stayed right where he was, well he did sneak in another kiss. What had even prompted him to do that? It wasn't like he had any intense feelings for Masin, not at all. If anyone, those were reserved for Cordy. Could it have been his stress and lack of ability to talk it off? Well, he did feel significantly less stressed out now. Apparently, making out was a very good stress reliever.

Masin, unlike Liam, had a pretty good gauge of how long they had been snogging for. She was pretty good at keeping track of the time, considering she often had somewhere to be and rarely made time for antics. She almost stopped after the first ten minutes... then twenty... then forty five... until an hour and a half had past and she had decided she wasn't going to be the one to stop it at all. It was a nice feeling, kissing someone. She had done it before, sure, but she hadn't really made time to really shut her brain off and just enjoy the physicality of it all without over thinking it. It was an amazing feeling, actually.
Then he stopped kissing her to catch some air, start to speak, and then sneak in another small kiss. She kept her eyes closed as he did this, before opening them to look at him. "Well," she said, her composure returning rapidly, "let's talk again sometime." She was... joking? Half joking? She didn't feel guilty though, not at all. They were both single and that was that. Just two good friends snogging each other in a closet... totally normal.

@delisle Liam wasn't sure that what they had just done could be classified as talking in any stretch of the imagination, and was slightly confused by the sudden change in her attitude. But he wasn't really going to complain. He didn't want to talk about it, not really. But he wasn't going to pretend like it didn't happen. So he smiled at her and said "Til next time then." and left the small closet where he had just spent the last .... while of his life. As he thought about it, he realized that if he had had any romantic feelings for Masin... he never could have done anything like that. Hence why Cordy was now dating Ethan. The End
