The room of requirements--quite possibly one of the most fickle rooms in all of Hogwarts but an incredibly useful room all at the same time. Zach was pleasantly surprised at the quick response he had gotten from Harry and when the other had suggested that they met in the room of requirements--Zach had to pause for a moment and wonder why he hadn't thought of it before hand. Eh and this was why he was a teacher and not an auror...he supposed he wasn't the best at the whole thinking ahead thing. Anyways that was beside the point. The point being that they needed the room to cooperate with them so that they could meet in peace. He supposed that if push came to shove they could go to his office on the third floor but he really would rather not be in a position where other ears could overhear what he wanted to ask.
Dark things were happening--we all knew that already. Aurors were being killed and muggle born students as well. It was--troublesome to say the very least. Zach didn't really relish the idea of another war happening -- not after the mess of last time. Nor did he relish the idea of Seth sticking his nose into any aspect of his life again. Zach was no idiot. He knew the other was out there somewhere bidding his time. Seth wasn’t going to stop supporting the dark forces just because they got beat…he knew the older man better than that. And he also knew Seth was a persistent creep (to put it cleanly that was) – Zach was sure that the other was going to once again try something stupid in order to get the charms professor to join his cause. If he was a betting man—he would bet his galleons on it. And the idea alone was enough to set Zach on edge. He did not like the idea of having a target on his back like that. And while he wasn’t able to do something about it twenty odd years ago…he could do something about it now. And that was what this meeting was about.
Doing something about it. He knew about the order. And he wanted in. It was as simple as that. But one didn’t just say they were in and were in. He wanted to talk about it with the head auror. Thus the owls and thus him being here currently.
And after pacing through the fifth floor hallway all the while thinking about how much they needed this room so that they could meet in peace—soon enough a door appeared. Perfect. Zach smirked lightly as he saw the wooden husky shaped door knob. The room of requirements was able to change into what the person needed it for. And he supposed the room decided to add that little flair for him. But that was beside the point. Zach walked into the room making sure to shut the door behind him and sat in the nearby chair. The room was just simple--a table, a few chairs and some water and that was it. Simple room for a simple purpose. And so taking a sip of a bottle of the water before him…all Zach had to do now was wait…
Easier said than done mind you…
