Scorp had had quite enough of this sneaking around. Yeah, he still wanted to keep his feelings for Rose a secret, but that didn't mean he couldn't show up at her Grandmothers house and see if she was around, right? I mean, he could think of an excuse for showing up there... he just had to think of something. He'd eventually find an excuse. His feet were moving faster than his brain and he was already at the Burrow, reaching a hand up to knock on the door before he realized how incredibly crazy this was. He turned away, wishing he hadn't just knocked. That's when he saw the familiar blonde head of hair in one of the windows. His heart started pounding in his throat and he straightened up. He couldn't leave now. But... what in the blazing hippogriff was he supposed to say to her!? Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina was technically under house arrest. After her little adventure, and her current refusal to tell her family where she had disappeared to for a week, they'd decided the best place for her was, obviously, the Burrow. Under the watchful thumb of her grandparents. Surely they could get to the bottom of her behavior and get an answer out of her, right? So far, they'd had no luck. Ondina spent most of her day wandering the house or gardens, reading, or randomly bewitching random objects out of boredom. The house arrest wouldn't have been that bad if it didn't mean she couldn't see Cassius though. Obviously he couldn't come over to be with her. Her grandparents would see him. So, after days of this confinement, she was.... well frustrated to say the least.
Currently she lay on the floor in the front room, staring at the ceiling as she waved her wand lazily through the air, creating green sparks that seemed to resemble turtles of various sizes. That was when she heard the knock. She sat up, and moved to the window, to see who it might be, and froze momentarily.
Scorpius.
There was a moment where she definitely considered not opening the door. But then the extremely bored part of her piped in, demanding amusement, and her fingers closed around the door handle and pulled it open. He looked worried. It made her smirk. "Scorpius." she greeted her ex-boyfriend cheerfully. "Are you looking for Albus, or Rose?" Why else would he be here?

There was that smirk. At her question, he let out the breath he had been holding and tried to remove his look of panic and worry. He tried to muster up his ow smirk, trying to seem nonchalant... but Ondina would see right through that. "Ondina," he said, his voice coming out softer than he had meant it to. He raised his chin, "I was coming to see Rose, actually," he was surprised that the truth came out of his mouth. "To congratulate her on getting Head Girl next year. And you, a Prefect. With me," he raised an eyebrow slightly, "congratulations to you, as well." He meant it took, even if it meant they had to awkwardly work together under the thumb of the very person who had, accidentally, ruined their relationship.... "Why are you at your Grandmas today?" he asked. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina's head tilted a little to the side as he, quite clearly, admitted he was looking for Rose. This was new. There wasn't the same shame as before. The hesitation. Something had happened. But what? Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she thought.
Her head tilted even more when he continued, coming up with a reason for wanting to see Rose. Ah. The 'Head Girl' thing. Perfect. Her eyes flashed with frustration. "You aren't the first person wanting to congratulate her." Ondina retorted. How many owls had her Grandmother sent out saying how proud she was to have a Head girl in the family? How many times did her Grandmother go on, and on about it, and how many of her children and grandchildren had been Head boy/girl or prefects? Being stuck here, and having to hear every single one of those times wasn't improving Ondina's mood. When he added her as well though, her own eyebrow raised to match his. Especially about the 'with me' part. "With you?" She repeated slowly.
And then, the question. Why was she here. Ondina shrugged, taking a step back and holding the door open, silently inviting him in. "Oh, you know. Punishment for 'misbehavior'. I'm stuck here until my grandparents knock some sense into me, or my mother feels so bad that she lets me come home, convinced I've learned a lesson." She smirked.

The way she tilted her head. The way her hair fell over her shoulders. Scorp wished he could shake his head, shake out the memories that were pouring in. It was hard to ignore them. Even the way her eyes narrowed took him back. Back to a better time were things were more simple. Things had always been simple with her. Maybe messy and emotional, sure, and rather dramatic but... simple. Simplicity was a luxury he didn't have anymore and, honestly, a part of him missed it. Could he ever make things simple with Rose? Was that even possible? Scorp wasn't surprised that Ondina seemed less that thrilled about the head girl thing. He couldn't help but smirk a little. Good old Ondina, hadn't change a bit. That was a comforting thought, really. That she was still the same girl she'd always been. "I'm sure. I guess I could have just sent an owl, eh?" he said, but he really didn't mean any of it. he was just saying words. Saying words to keep that door open. Why was he doing that? Then she stepped back with a shrug, seemingly inviting him in. He smiled thankfully at her before stepping inside. Maybe they could be friends. Maybe that big fight they had had died down and they could... but they never had been just friends. They were either dating or they weren't. There had never been a middle ground. Well, there is a first time for everything, right? "Misbehavior?" he repeated. The way she said the word she sounded proud almost, which was another thing he'd admired about her but it was also a bad thing for them. They were both proud. "What did you do this time?" he chuckled, actually curious to what it was. Ondina Nell Weasley

"You could have. Owls are boring though. A howler could be interesting." Okay, there had been a little mean spirit in that comment Ondina just made. But it was also a very normal, typical Ondina comment.
Why was Scorpius still here? Why hadn't he run yet? Well, Ondina wasn't complaining. She needed something interesting right now. She felt like she was on the verge of insanity from her boredom. While Scorpius was a bit of a cowerer, he had always been pretty good at relieving her boredom....
Closing the door behind him, Ondina crossed the room to recline on the couch, her back against the arm."This time? What makes you think there was a previous time? She asked innocently, pouting just a little. The expression only lasted a moment. It was soon replaced with an impish glint in her eyes and a wicked smirk. "I just needed a break, so I went on a little trip. They make it sound like quite the scandal." Ondina wouldn't tell him more then she'd told her family, of course. He didn't need to know that. Thinking about the trip softened her smile just a bit. It also woke that small flame deep in her chest. The one that wanted nothing more then to go back to that week in Japan. The part of her that sought out Cassius. He wasn't here though. That flame went from strong desire to frustration. Reminding her that the only person here was Scorpius. A person she couldn't take this frustration out on- or could she..? Ondina's expression relaxed from that mischievous look. "It's been a while since I heard you laugh like that." She mentioned thoughtfully. It hadn't been a loud chuckle, but it was familiar. Familiar and... good?

A howler? Scorpius couldn't help but laugh. "That would be a good way to congratulate her, if I wanted a pack of angry canaries sent my way," he said with a chuckle, that chuckle clearly showing affection at the idea of Rose send anything his way, even if it was hostile. He quickly ended the chuckle, clearing his throat as she shut the door behind him. He tilted his head in curiosity as she talked in such an innocent way, giving a little pout. He couldn't help but smile at that, at the familiarity and adorable nature of it. He wasn't going to deny that she was pretty, if he did that he would just be a jerk. It's not like he didn't date her for a long time and enjoy her company, enjoy looking at her, talking to her, kissing her... and what have you. He could still be her friend... right? That was okay, to be friends with your ex, right? Either way, he couldn't see himself escaping out that door now. His fate had been sealed. No matter what happened, he was stuck with her for the afternoon. "A trip? Without telling them? Is that safe for you?" he asked, legitimately concerned about someone with her medical condition going out on her own. Or maybe she was with someone? Then she commented on how it had been a while since she had heard him laugh like that. He looked at her just as thoughtfully as she had said those words, standing still for a moment before slowly crossing behind her toward the kitchen table. "It's been a while since we've been in this close of proximity," he said. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina grinned back as he laughed. "Hey, it'd be hilarious. Maybe not for you, but everyone that saw." Again, very Ondina like. She did have quite the malicious streak, something Scorpius was thoroughly aware of. Though he'd only been on the receiving end of her wrath once. The way she was acting though made it seem like she was past all that.
She wasn't. She still wanted to ruined them. Scorpius and Rose. Well, actually, it was mostly towards Rose now. For ruining everything. For weaseling her way between Ondina and Scorpius. Ondina didn't forgive, nor did she forget. She was simply patient. And a bit of an opportunist. And a rather tempting opportunity stood in the room with her.
Ondina shrugged from her spot on the couch. "Course I didn't tell them. Where's the fun in that?" She paused momentarily to scowl slightly. "You know I hate it when people coddle me." She muttered. That 'safe' comment being the reason for her snippy reaction, her gaze quite intense as she looked at him. Yes, she had a medical condition. A bad one. But Ondina would never call herself weak. And she hated assistance. Because it made her feel inferior. She was a proud creature.
"Since I yelled at you." Ondina's voice went quiet, soft. With a slight touch of remorse. Her eyebrows furrowed together slightly, and a small frown formed. It was the perfect example of true regret. Quite convincing too. And totally fake. Ondina was pretty good at faking reactions. How else had Scorpius completely missed her true nature all these years?

Good old Ondina. Finding amusement in the embarrassment of others. She was never too cruel to others around him, but he wasn't stupid. He knew she wasn't the most loving person to others. He didn't know how bad it really was though, how her friends really were. Still, that didn't matter to him. He only saw the mischievous grin, the way she kissed, the way she smelled. He didn't pay any mind to trivial things like that. Though... maybe he should have. He chuckled as she revealed that she didn't tell her family where she was going and shook his head. Then she said she hated when people coddled her, and he knew that. He also knew that she was saying that in the muttering way because he had coddled her with his 'safe' comment only seconds ago. He shrugged, "hey, some of us like to coddle, okay?" he said, smirking a bit as he found his body leaning toward hers. He was oddly aware of it, but he couldn't put a stop to it. What was wrong with talking to an old friend, anyway? "Will you tell me, though? I mean, I won't tell anyone," he said, in reference to where she had run off to. As she said what they both were thinking, that they hadn't been close since she blew up at him in the Great Hall. The worst part was, he had really deserved it, hadn't he? He bit his lip, the guilt coming over him as he cleared his throat before speaking again. "Yeah... hey, that's okay. I mean, I shouldn't have... I'm sorry." He said, and he one hundred percent meant it. His regret was real. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina really wasn't doing anything too... flirtatious. But she wasn't surprised when Scorpius leaned towards her just a bit, Old habits were hard to break. "I'll let it go this time then. Just this once though." She smiled sweetly as she shifted on the couch to face him. "You can sit, you know. I'm not in a biting mood." She couldn't exactly say she didn't bite, not to someone that knew her. Even though Scorpius didn't know her as well as he thought he did...
"Hm.... I could tell you..." Ondina spoke thoughtfully, lightly tapping her chin. "If you can give me a good enough reason to." Would she tell him? Probably not. Definitely not everything, but even telling half the story could be dangerous. Scorpius was incredibly clever. If he found out Cassius had taken a vacation at the same time, he'd be able to piece it together. And while she didn't think he'd give them away, she also knew he wouldn't approve. He might try to talk her out of it. Or Cassius. And accidentally give them away in the process.
Ondina still didn't feel... satisfied for leaving things at the fight. Like Scorpius and Rose hadn't paid for making her feel like an idiot. It might have been enough if Rose hadn't come running to his rescue. "It's not your fault. I... I over reacted. I never wanted to hurt you, Scorpius. I was angry, and wasn't thinking. I'm sorry."

Not in a biting mood. The words 'well, that's a shame' almost escaped his mouth but he kept it shut, sitting down on the couch beside her. He smiled and nodded. "wow, I get a win? That's a first," he joked before clearing his throat and sitting up a little straighter, leaning away from her slightly to do so. Then she said she would tell him if he gave her a good enough reason and he tilted his head to one side. "Well... I'm not sure I've got one," he admitted. Truthfully, Ondina didn't owe him anything and there was pretty much nothing he could say that would change that. He shrugged, "I guess I have to be in the dark with everyone else until I think of something, eh?" he guessed, raising an eyebrow out her, in hopes that she may show pity and tell him her secret. He doubted she would, though. They didn't share secrets anymore. At her next words, the apology, he shook his head. "No, you weren't. I should have told you... sooner. How i felt about... anyway," he cleared his throat, "you shouldn't have seen it that way. I should have gone to you," he muttered. Ondina Nell Weasley

Ondina slowly grinned wickedly. She'd seen his slight hesitation. After dating on and off for so long, she'd gotten pretty good at reading Scorpius. While she had no idea what he'd considered saying, she was sure it wasn't something appropriate to say to a 'friend', otherwise he wouldn't have stopped himself. He managed a quick recovery though as he sat down. "Well, I can't always win. Otherwise you'll stop playing." She teased lightly.
Her own eyebrow raised to match his own as he realized he had nothing worth offering her in exchange for the information. Well, she seriously doubted that. He just couldn't think of something he was willing to offer in exchange. "When you think of something, just let me know. I don't give out information for free, you know." Now that she was really thinking about it it, telling him would be interesting. He was a loyal person, and would never sell someone out. If she did tell him, he likely wouldn't tell anyone. And she'd get the joy of seeing him squirm every time he saw Cassius. Alas, she didn't trust his ability of not acting suspicious. People would figure out something was wrong based off of his reactions, and they'd eventually get the truth out of him. So, as entertaining as it would be, it simply wasn't worth the trouble.
Ondina shifted on the coach, moving closer to him to lightly touch her fingertips to his cheek. For a split second, she felt that same electricity she always had, and felt that small, familiar pull. The one that had always brought them back together after each break up. For a moment, she almost lost control. Almost gave in to that familiarity, but she had to stick with her plan. Which, ironically meant pretending to give in. "Please, it's my apology, not yours. You did nothing wrong." She whispered softly, her eyebrows furrowing together slightly in 'remorse'.

She had a good point. If he didn't have any chance of winning with her then he'd give up all together. Wouldn't that be a blessing? He chuckled as she said she didn't give information for free and nodded, "Oh, I know. And I wouldn't expect you too," he admitted with his own grin. His curiosity was seriously eating at him, though, so he needed to figure something out soon as to what to give in exchange... he honestly couldn't think of a thing, though. Oh well, better to move on with the day, right? In fact, he knew he should get out of there fast. But, he didn't move. At the touch of her fingertips he felt a jolt shoot through his entire body. He caught his breath, not noticing that he leaned toward her slightly. Then she spoke, saying it was her apology not his. That he did nothing wrong. Well, he knew that wasn't true. He had done a lot wrong. Maybe he could make it up to her... but really he was just making excuses now. There was a reason they had fallen apart and pieced back together so many times, right? There was a reason he was sinking into the similarity, leaning toward her almost against his will as he lifted a hand to catch hers at his cheek. "Okay," he said, giving a short nod, "I don't... want you to feel sorry anymore," he said. He had no idea the spell she was casting over him or the deceiving that was happening. This was normal pattern, right? Ondina Nell Weasley

It was so nice to see Scorpius caught up in everything that was happening. That despite everything he just fell back in line so easily, no fussing at all. To see him fall for the same stunts over, and over again. He might be brilliant, but he was gullible and trusting. He just didn’t see the danger until it was too late. How else had he managed to come back to her so many times before now? Despite knowing it was a bad idea. Despite it being against his best friend’s wishes. She’d always thought that had just been a sign of how much he’d cared for her. But now she knew it was just who he was. He got comfortable, and didn’t adjust to change quickly. He was comfortable with her, and so he just couldn’t break away…
Scorpius was leaning towards her, his hand covering her own that was still against his cheek. While she hated to admit it, he wasn’t the only gullible one. Him being here was so… nostalgic. Heck, it took two to be in a relationship. While he’d fallen for her antics every time, she’d fallen for his. He had plenty of redeem qualities, enough to convince her to date him for so long. She knew she didn’t want to be with him now though, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t have a little fun… right?
Slowly she nodded. ”Let me make it up to you then.” She softly muttered as she leaned towards him. She stopped for a fraction of a second, debating if she really wanted to do this. How would Cassius react if he heard? That thought was enough to make her smile and finish closing the distance between them to press her lips softly against his.
She liked it when Cassius got jealous.

Before he knew it, she was saying that she wanted to make it up to him in that soft voice that caused him to lean forward even more. She smiled then, a soft half smile, as he realized what was going to happen next. He wasn't sorry, in that moment. He had a sinking feeling that this would be the last time they ever kissed and that was a bittersweet thing for him. He had loved her once, really cared for her, and that wasn't something he could easily let go of. Especially not now when she was right there, willingly giving into the power that always pulled them back together. He had all of this thoughts in the fraction of a second where she paused before her lips touched his. He kissed her back, now completely uncaring about what the consequences may or may not be. His hand that was on hers moved away in order to gently catching the side of her jaw while his other hand rested gently on the back of the couch beside her. He leaned into the kiss in a hungry way, but kept it gentle and soft, something that the two of them didn't do enough. He took a short breath, barely pulling away before kissing her one more time before breaking away completely. He kept his eyes closed, not bothering to pull away more than half an inch.
