It was a dull and cloudy September evening as Argus got up from his desk which happened to be located right next door to the Ministers office. Despite being a Senior Auror he had just been named Head of the Advanced Guard, meaning he was the person in charge of protecting the Minister and all protections plans regarding the Minister and his staff and family. Closing the office door beside him he nodded to another Advanced guard member who would take over the duty on watching the Minister, Ale needed a break from the git. Yes git, he might have to protect the guy with his life but, he didn’t care for the man at all, however he was the Minister for Magic and Ale’s job was to protect the Minister at all costs. With a tiny pop he was gone from the halls of the Ministry and appeared outside the Leaky Cauldron with a loud crack. Looking around he came out of the alleyway and adjusted his coat as he walked into the Leaky Cauldron and nodded at those who were in the building.
He did not feel like travelling to Hogsmeade as everyone always went their instead he wanted to get away from the large number of crowds and the Leaky Cauldron was not exactly crowded tonight only for a handful of people present in the tavern this night. He made his way to the bar area to order a drink, whiskey, he needed badly. Everything has to be changed, how did they get to Kingsley thought Ale as he took a swig of the fire whiskey that the bartender brought to him. Ever since his appointment to the job just a week ago or so, he had been reforming all protection protocols for the Minister, his staff, and entire family and had limited anyone outside of the Advanced Guard knowing, meaning he had sealed the records from the Head of Magical Law Enforcement and even the Head Auror, he did not trust anyone. To take out Kingsley, the former Minister he suspected it had to be part of an inside job and he had no idea who he could trust besides the members of the advanced guard. Finishing his whiskey he set the glass back down on the bar and waved his hand in the air, to get another two. Let’s skip to the me getting drunk part right now thought Ale as he gave a slight smirk and started to down the next two whiskeys that had been brought to him. Lightweight was not something, he knew about so getting him drunk was going to take more than just a few glasses of straight whiskey. ” I think I’m going to need a few of these tonight all! Been a bloody hell of a week” called out Ale throwing his glass in the air before taking another chug and giving a big huge smile to everyone, yes the outgoing Ale was about to come out tonight.

Tonight of all nights, he had been out with Dorian to capture a person wanted for international crimes, and they had got the bastard along with all of his pals. They took out thirty or so guys, in the space of about five minutes. Oh how he loved his job. They could send in one or two people and the job would be done in next to now time. Some of these criminals, fugitives, etc. had no idea that they were even there. Before they even took notice their number was already reduced by two thirds. It was a site to behold when any member of the IA is out doing what they do best. And no one even realizes anything is going on. He had been able to get away from Hogwarts since it was a weekend. And he had been itching for a good fight. Oh and then the interrogation afterwards. Those that they had caught didn't even put up much of a fight, before a single word even left his mouth all thirty that they had captured broke by a single look that he gave them. And after they told him what he needed to know he still went ahead an used legilimency on them to get further information. It was a quick process. Well at least tonight it went quickly, because sometimes it didn't.
Walton was standing outside the Leaky Cauldron looking around at passersby who didn't even notice he was there. Ah to see and not be seen. He was about to leave and head back to Hogwarts when he saw Argus Diamond, someone he thought he might never run into again after that whole fiasco of him getting cold feet and leaving Walton's co-worker at the altar. And Walton had been on the receiving end of a few of her spells the next day as they practiced dueling. Man was she pissed. He quickly followed the man inside and watched as the man drank a few whiskies. "Argus you poor, bloke, let me by you a few more." He said as he walked over and joined the man at the bar. He raised his hand towards the bartender who got the drinks he requested. "It sure has been a long time old friend. So how is the new job treating you?" Walton asked as he grabbed one of the drinks and took a swig. It was really odd to run into Argus like this, but he figured that the man needed a break from guarding the idiot of a minister that they had here in England. Ah but he knew the man was very skilled and also resourceful, or he wouldn't have been made head of the Advanced Guard.

He started chugging the next fire whiskey, when he could feel someone walking up near him, it was his sixth sense he swore, helped him in his job. He dropped the drink on the counter, and his hand was next to his wand in a split second as he turned around to see Walton Grey standing right next to him. He gave a slight frown but, let go of his wand and turned around to face the bar again and took the rest of the drink in one big gulp. He’s going to whoop my ass thought Argus as he cracked his neck having a feeling Walton might be upset since he had left Christina standing in that pretty wedding gown under the altar, crying as he took off on his broom. His eyebrow rose a little bit when Walton ordered some drinks for him, keep a close eye on him watching to see if he charmed them in any sort of way. He was surprised that he was being nice or it at least seemed like he was being nice to him. ”Well…Walton I’m surprised to see you…not sure if this is a friendly visit. Hope you didn’t hex the drinks, as I ain’t one to turn down free whiskey”said Argus swooping up one of the drinks and took another swig of the whiskey.
He put the glass back on the counter and let out a large sigh, as he looked over to Walton who asked him how the new job was. He loved his new job, he was starting to find out how much influence he got in the job not something he always wanted, but he knew he was the best person to do the job. His knowedlege of protection charms and counter curses, was very good and rivaled many other Senior Aurors a reason he was handpicked out of all of them by the Wizengmont to be Head of the Advanced Guard. ”As good as it will get minus; the current Minister is a git. However; I serve at the pleasure at the office of the Minister and the Ministry of Magic not the person.” said Argus taking another swig before finishing his fifth drink now. It was something he repeated to himself all the time what he had just said, to remind himself now to choke the current idiotic stupid Minister. ”So Christina still hate me? I sent her a Christimias card last year…got nothing back” said Argus giving a slight grin as he started taking another sip of one of the leftover whiskey glasses he hadn’t touched yet.

Walton looked at Argus with a fake look of hurt, when the man said he hoped that Walton didn’t hex the drinks. Oh sure he had thought about it but he wasn’t the one who Argus had to watch out for. “Nope I didn’t hex them this time, I thought about it though.” He took another swig of his firewhiskey and instead he signaled to the bartender to get them a bottle. He had a feeling that they were going to go through it. “Sucks to be you. Having to deal with the git all the time.” He really did feel for the man, who had to deal with the current minister. It was pretty pathetic how much of a blind eye the man had turned towards the whole situation. Walton had half the mind to curse the current minister, but there wasn’t much that he could do about it. All he had to do was watch over students besides teaching them. But Argus had to deal with the git.
Finishing off his drink he poured himself more whiskey from the bottle that had been placed before them. ”So Christina still hate me? I sent her a Christimias card last year…got nothing back” Now that was a word hate. And he chuckled a bit remembering the last time someone had even mentioned Argus’ name. She hexed that person from her to next week. Walton had to intervene to stop he and he even got hit with a rather nasty hex. “Ha, I don’t know if hate is the right word. I mean she was pretty pissed. We were dueling right? We had just finished our mock duel and the next thing I know she goes ahead and hexes me and I’m looking up at her from the flat of my back. Oh and that card, yeah she burned it, slowly I might add while muttering things she would like to do to you.” He paused to take a drink and wet his lips before he continued. "And then about a couple of weeks ago when you got promoted someone mentioned your name and the promotion, and she flipped her lid. Hexed the man that had said it, and then I had to step in to stop her and got hexed with a rather nasty hex. So for every ones safety she has been stationed in Australia, where none of our co-workers there now anything about the whole incident of you leaving her at the altar. Last time I checked she is doing well, still hates you, and is finally calming down and slowly healing for that ordeal.” Walton looked around as a few people came in but they passed right on through to diagon alley. Walton wondered what Argus would say next, seeing as how the man had grinned when he talked about Christina.

Argus gave a slight chuckle that Walton had commented on that he thought about hexing the drinks, as he started to slam down his last one, at least what was in front of him. His eyes couldn’t help but, grow a little wide when he saw Walton signal for a bottle to be brought to them from the bartender. He gave a little laugh and looked over to Walton and gave him a grin. “Oh Walton, stop your making me blush” said Argus in a half-sarcastic and half-friendly tone and then preceded to pour himself another glass of whiskey, and nodded in agreement about the Minister as he drank some of the whiskey. I swear Christina is hiding in a corner, and he’s setting me up…she always knew I had a weakness for whiskey thought Argus as he put the glass down on the counter and played around with it. He could feel the whiskey starting to kick in a little now, he was used to drinking, always did it after a long day at work. The last few weeks, had been very long days thanks to his wonderful boss, the beloved and fantastic Minister for Magic. He gave a laugh as he listened to Walton’s stories on Christina and how she had hexed people hearing his name, she had always been feisty and a terrific duelist, part of the reason he fell in love with her, or at least believe he did.
”That doesn’t surprise me at all, she’s always been feisty one of the many things that I love about her” said Argus as he took another swig of the fire whiskey before setting the glass down again. He meant “love” because he still had feelings for her, he would always have a special place in his heart for her, but it was not meant to be. He couldn’t be tied down, not at that time he should have ended it sooner but he wanted to believe they had this perfect relationship, and it wasn’t. ”Well I’d tell you say hi to her for me but, I’m afraid she might just hex somewhere over there” said Argus giving a huge laugh about her burning the card he sent to her, and in a slow manner it was just too hilarious for him. He took a swig from his fire whiskey, and his eyes traveled around the Leaky Cauldron once more, something this time stood out to him. A man who had got up and walked out the door, his face had struck a memory in the back of Argus mind from earlier in the week at the Ministry. The man was a tall man, he was older , looking at him Argus just felt the man was something of a snake.
”That man he was at the Ministry, had been with Reynolds when they went to see Dwight….who the hell is he?” thought Argus, he turned his head back to Walton, and took a swig of the fire whiskey for a second. The man had been with Burt Reynolds, Headmaster of Hogwarts at the Ministry a week ago, evening time he passed by them in the hallway when he was leaving with the Minister. He knew all the stories of the Headmaster, and had worked with him before when the man worked in the Ministry, despite not caring for the man’s personal power trips, he had to admire the man, he knew what he was doing. ”Walton…you know that man who just left right now? He was the Ministry last week with Burt Reynolds visiting Dwight” blurted out Argus, he had not plan to blurt it out but he did. He took another swig of his drink before turning his gaze back to Walton and looked him in the eyes waiting for a response from him, if the man worked at Hogwarts with Burt than Walton would know who he was, and have information on him.

”Well I’d tell you say hi to her for me but, I’m afraid she might just hex somewhere over there” Walton couldn’t help but laugh. It was quite funny really. The whole situation was quite comical. Well except for the getting hexed part. “Yeah and I think we both know how that would end. I would probably get a howler or something from her, unless she decides to come all the way back over here to England just to kick my arse, and probably yours too.” He said with a smirk before he grabbed his glass and downed the fire whiskey. Walton poured himself another glass before quickly glancing towards the direction that Argus had seen someone.
”Walton…you know that man who just left right now? He was the Ministry last week with Burt Reynolds visiting Dwight” Oh did he ever know that man. It was none other than El Serpiente, aka Vincent Stone, the old man’s lapdog/servant. Vince was also the head of Slytherin house. Walton knew quite a bit about the man, and what he knew wasn’t very promising. “Ah that is the old man’s lapdog, or servant, take your pick. He also happens to teach transfiguration, and is the Slytherin head of house. Stone is also an animagus. If you are wondering what he turns into, well, it is simple a great big snake.” Walton said in a low voice so only that Argus could hear what he had just said. It was quite obvious to Walton that Argus had seen El Serpiente before. “Now the real question was and is why were they visiting Dwight? Has Dwight been acting out of sorts lately? Do you have any ideas?” Walton wanted to see if Argus had come to any conclusions or theories. You could always tell if an Auror was good or not just by how much they paid attention to what was going on around them. It was always good to get as much information about things that are going on. Sometimes you hear about things from the most unlikely sources but they always had something worth looking into. Well that is if you knew what questions to ask people to get them to talk.

He gave a slight laugh to Walton commenting on how Christina would have probably headed back to Britain to kick both his and Argus butt if she knew they had seen each other. Hell if she knew they were drinking together and even getting along in any way would make her want to kill them both, something Argus just kind of chuckled at. His eyes looked back to Walton and then outside of the bar again over to the area the man had turned down, who apparently Walton knew very well. Professor Vincent Stone, he was the new Transfiguration Professor of Hogwarts and the Slytherin Head of House. He raised an eyebrow at Walton when mentioned that he was the lapdog/servant for the Headmaster, this was something interesting now. He gave another huge gulp of his drink and gave a slight chuckle as he heard that Stone apparently turned into a great big snake. Oh lovely thought Argus as he put his cup back down and took the bottle back to fill it up.
He took another gulp or two and started thinking about Walton had said, wondering why they were visiting Dwight. He thought back to when he first started seeing the Headmaster visiting Dwight, and started remembering snippets of how the meetings had went. Argus had picture perfect memory, if he just focused on what he needed to remember, he would remember the entire memory, exactly. The memories flooded back, the arguments he heard from his other advanced guard members in passing, between Reynolds and Dwight. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a copy of the latest Spotlight weekly portraying a picture of a grim looking Dwight, with “DWIGHT STUNS POLITICAL WORLD” headline. ”Well that for one…the Minister was screaming over it for an hour at least. You should get a subscription for it; Alyssa charmed it where it instantly gets delivered to you wherever you are.” said Argus as he started to go back into his mental bank of his memories basically.
He remembered the tall man with Reynolds, who was named Stone he didn’t have a normal visitor badge, but a badge given to those with International Ministry credentials, meaning they worked for another Ministry of Magic. Stone apparently must still work for the other Ministry, despite being a Professor at Hogwarts. Recently, something was different however the last two meetings no yelling happened, Reynolds and Dwight got along, and Dwight was heaping praise on the man to other people visiting his office including board of governors. This is more than just a power struggle between Dwight and the Minister thought Argus he took another gulp and then put the drink down looking right at Walton. ”They used to argue Reynolds and Dwight all the time, last two meetings in last week have been pleasant. He’s been heaping praise about Reynolds to different people apparently, and I looked at his schedule it’s jammed with meetings with everyone high in society from board of governors of Hogwarts to St. Mungos Director” said Argus he leaned in making sure only Walton could hear what he said. This was indeed strange, Dwight had suddenly changed all he felt apparently about Burt out of the blue, right when he was rumored to wanting to find a way to become Minister or get his old position back as Chief Warlock. ”Walton, there’s a power struggle going on with Dwight and the Minister, I fear there is someone else who is entering that power struggle, and it’s the Headmaster. “ said Argus his eyes looked straight at him and then drank more of the fire whiskey and waited to hear from Walton.

”Well that for one…the Minister was screaming over it for an hour at least. You should get a subscription for it; Alyssa charmed it where it instantly gets delivered to you wherever you are.” Walton smirked as he looked at the spotlight weekly which he actually had a subscription to but under a different name. He loved the stuff Alyssa wrote. It was great stuff, but she would have to watch herself, because after those first two, he knew that she had gotten under the skin of the old man who had a knack for taking care of those that were against him. Ha! The stupid old man had even tried to get rid of Walton from the school, but the man couldn’t touch him since the Magical World Education Committee had put him at Hogwarts. It was quite funny to see the old man’s face when he had gotten a letter from them. "Alyssa’s work is great. I have read all of these. However we will need to keep an eye out for her, the old man has a habit of trying to get rid of those that stand in his way, and she will pose a threat, especially after the article with where she interviewed Harry.” He was going to talk to Dorian and have him keep an eye out on Alyssa, because she was one way that they could let the public know of the threats of what was going on.
“So if they have stopped arguing that can only mean one thing. The old man has found some way to blackmail, or otherwise force Dwight to do all of this.” Walton was glad that Argus was coming to the same conclusions that he was about all of things that were going on. “I agree that there is a power struggle going on and it used to be between Dwight and the Minister, but now the old man has entered the field and I am sure that he is behind all of the things concerning the ministry interfering at St. Mungos. Because he is definitely behind the change in the educational decrees for Hogwarts. He wants absolute power. I say he can take his hunger for power and shove it up his arse. Granted I am not sure if the old man even knows how to tell where it shove it, down his throat or actually up his arse, since it seems that crap comes out of both ends for him.” Walton was pissed that the old man was behind all of this. It almost felt like a game of chess between the old man and himself. It was a good game and he knew that both of them had hidden cards to play, however the time for those would most likely come later. Walton could tell that there was a lot going on in Argus' mind, if his eyes were any indication it was most likely about the meetings that Dwight had with the old man. He wondered if Argus would allow him to see the memories, by using legilimency, so he could see and for himself what Argus had heard. Walton knew that Argus was a skilled occlumens, and hoped that the man would let him view the memories, of those arguments. Turning to look at Argus as he took a drink. Walton inconspicuously pointed at his eyes and then towards Argus's eyes, asking if he could access those memories or not.

He finished once again another glass of whiskey when he turned his eyes over to Walton as he started to talk about Alyssa. Her nodded briefly to him that they would have to look out for her, honestly Argus barely had the free time with his heightened security of the Advanced Guard despite the Minister claiming it did not need to be done. However; it was one of the rare things the Minister could not control in the Ministry, the Advanced Guard was set to protect the Minister at all costs, and if the Head felt there was a threat he could put many different security protocols in place. I would love to place him under safe house arrest…be so much better thought Argus giving a little smirk, but he immediately returned his thoughts to the issue at hand.
When Walton mentioned the man had an habit of getting rid of people who stand in his way, he nodded. You have no idea… thought Argus, as he closed his eyes and started to think back to the badge on Vincent, it kept bothering him. ”Walton, Vincent Stone is still employed by French Ministry of Magic….despite being here all the way in Britain teaching full time and as Head of House…that’s strange. I know he is cause he had a badge showing his credentials, meaning he came through a different area of Ministry security for foreign officials, less haste” said Argus as he started to pour himself another glass of whiskey once more.
All about improving relations plus…if he’ given special clearance it would be hell of a lot easier for the man to walk around the Ministry thought Argus something was starting to become very strange, wondering exactly where the man had been in the Ministry if he ever was their alone. He turned to Walton as he started to speak and explaining his theory that the Headmaster must be controlling Dwight somehow or blackmailing him. The thought didn’t even cross his mind, this was all crazy. The Headmaster was willing to go so far for the title of Minister he would, curse or blackmail someone to do it? He knew about the educational changes, and knew the Minister was not keen on them, it basically shut the entire outside world out of Hogwarts.
”Sir, Burt’s educational changes shut Hogwarts out from all outside influences basically, including the Ministry except for limited, and I mean limited oversight. I worked with Burt Reynolds; he is not a man who would need those changes to shut out outside influences” spoke Argus bluntly basically. While he was member of the Advanced Guard, Reynolds was ranking number two in Magical Law Enforcement department and dealt with the advanced guard on some issues. The man was not someone he liked or cared for but, he did respect the way the man did compel people around him out of fear and respect. Part of Argus couldn’t believe a former Head Auror a man who declared war on dark wizards would do all this. ”How does one go from declaring war on all dark wizards and carry out so many raids and arrests of criminals but, yet does this stuff himself?” said Argus as he started to drink some more and thought back to more stuff of Reynolds.
Before he did he notice Walton was looking into his eyes, he knew what he was doing he was trying to see if he could enter Argus mind. Something, which would not happen. He faced forward and ignored the look of Walton’s eyes even if it was a respectful invite to pry or not, no one was allowed in his mind. ”Walton I am sorry but, that won’t be happening…ask me whatever you want, I have no reason not to help you, or deceive you”said Argus as he took once more another drink from his glass as he waited for Walton to respond. Then the thought sprang to him at once, he remembered certain past cases of people seen as rivals of Burt’s became arrested or charged with unethical conduct. ”He’s been clearing the playing field since his days in the MLE” the words escaped Argus as he stared off into space starting to wonder more of exactly how long the grand Headmaster had been involved in this power struggle.

"Walton, Vincent Stone is still employed by French Ministry of Magic….despite being here all the way in Britain teaching full time and as Head of House…that’s strange. I know he is cause he had a badge showing his credentials, meaning he came through a different area of Ministry security for foreign officials, less haste” Walton knew that Stone had been to the French Ministry for several years but what some forgot to mention was that the man had a French Ministry Credential. He was going to have to mention this to Jones since this was something new. Walton nodded his head a little in agreement. “Yes it is quite strange. Thanks for the info about Stone it must have been very recent that he was given that badge from the French Ministry.” Leave it to the French to give things out such as an official badge. He would have to send someone to check out that whole issue and figure out why Stone was given that badge. “Stupid French, they probably don’t even realize just who Stone is helping conduct and complete their personal agendas.” Walton said before taking another drink.
As he set his glass down Walton was listening to Argus talk about how the old man’s educational changes have mostly shut Hogwarts off from outside influences and giving only limited oversight to the Ministry. It all seemed like the old man was trying to protect the students, but no that wasn’t a motive for all of these educational changes. The old fool probably would have gotten rid of Walton a long time ago but he couldn’t since Walton was put there by the Magical World Educational Committee and so only they could remove him from his teaching position. “How does one go from declaring war on all dark wizards and carry out so many raids and arrests of criminals but, yet does this stuff himself?” It was a rather simple questions and it was one that he could answer. “The answer to that question is simple. The old man is a power hungry bastard, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and that also includes using dark magic to achieve his goals.”
“I understand your caution and I respect that.” Walton said before taking another drink. There might be some way to actually get Argus into the IA but first he would have to talk with Jones about it. “Yes he has hasn’t he?” It was a rhetorical question since they both knew the answer to it. It was true that the old man had been knocking people off one by one since being in the MLE. Walton had looked into that fact a while ago. It was something that had caught his eye when he read the man’s file. However there were some things going on that he had yet to figure out. Like finding out the true reason as to why the old man had changed so many educational decrees. The man was trying to hide something and it made Walton very curious. “Argus just out of curiosity do you still have a desire to join the IA, like you did once before?” It was a simple question but Walton wanted to know if the man still wanted to be a part of the IA. If Argus still wanted to be part of the IA it would be really simple and the man already had a “cover” job as the head of the Advanced Guard. But the IA could benefit from a man like Argus.

He kept on drinking as his thoughts poured over Vincent Stone and Burt Reynolds past. This was all becoming very troubling for him, such a power struggle between Reynolds, the Minister, and Dwight was becoming a threat to the Ministry itself. All three people held powerful positions, talented skills, and an ability to influence others for good and bad deeds it was turning out to be. He took another shot and just shook his head, the job was becoming suffocating because of so many threats. He didn’t only have to focus on protecting the Minister but as well as the Ministry and its role itself in the magical world, he was de facto the protector of the government as he saw it. Wizengamont sees it that way too thought Argus he turned his eyes to Walton as he thanked him for the info on Vincent Stone he merely nodded. His thoughts were starting to focus on the potential threat this power struggle started to become to the Ministry. What came next from Walton solidified his focus on thoughts even more, it was showing the old man was going to stop at nothing to get what he wanted. This was indeed now a problem, he took a gulp without even taking a shot. ”Walton this power struggle needs to end, it is becoming credible threat to the Ministry itself, which is my responsibility to protect”said Argus he glanced over at Walton for a quick second as he said it but looked away and poured another shot once again.
He nodded to Walton acknowledging that he respected Argus caution to allowing him to probe his mind with Legilimency. It was a security risk, if his thoughts were comprised he knew of every safe house location for the entire Ministry, every security plan and details of protection squads. He gave a slight chuckle about how Burt did knock people down off the ladder of power, he was not afraid of anything except losing power. ”People with power can be dangerous, but even more so when they feel they are losing power…power only lasts for so long” said Argus he took the shot and held his hand up as he was making some epic quote and just laughed. The bottle had done its job, and the sweet liquid of booze was flowing through Argus. He thought he was completely drunk when he heard what came out of Walton’s mouth next he was in fact rather stunned. He had always wanted to eventually join the International Aurors but, his current job and his strict Minister Protection schedule did not allow such free time, as he thought. Still, he could not lie or fake it, he wanted to be one day eventually. ”Well yea I’m still interested but you know this position is rather demanding and not much free time, and I haven’t really found someone to take my place but, it’s always in the back of my mind for sure”said Argus he was rather stunned, more stunned that Walton Grey, friend of his ex-fiancée was asking him the question. She said he hated me thought Argus as he waited for Walton’s response.

”Walton this power struggle needs to end, it is becoming credible threat to the Ministry itself, which is my responsibility to protect” Walton could not agree more with his friend about the power struggle taking place between the old man and the Ministry. He had been keeping an eye on things going on at the school. He was currently working on figuring out just what the old man was up to. And he even had help from Neville, Rob, John, Sasha and Selliah. All were trained aurors and in Sasha’s case a member of the International Aurors. He was quite sure that there was definitely something going on and it seemed like to him that there was something else on the third floor besides the Mirror of Erised being placed there, with the supposed gulag leading to it. Which he could easy get to if he wanted. It was designed to slow people down so that the proper authorities could get there to catch and stop you. But anytime that he had gone by the third floor he had a feeling that kept coming back each time that he passed by it. Said feeling kept telling him that there was something that was hidden. “Yes it does need to end, we are currently working on getting any and all information we can on the old man, and just what it is that he plans.” He knew that it might take some time or at least it would have, but now that there were more people aware and helping him it was going a lot faster and they were gathering a fair amount of information.
Walton listened to Argus talk about people who had power and let it get to them and how dangerous they could become when their power ran out. He had seen that many times before, in his line of work. When Argus said that he was still interested in the position of becoming a member of the IA Walton smirked as the man said that his current job kept him busy and talked about finding someone to take his place. “My friend you know that your current job will be a cover. However it will not impede your ability as a member of the IA, rather your status as a member of the IA will allow to do your job better as Head of the AG. The invitation is always open, and I will let Dave know about your interest, and I am sure that he will probably contact you to discuss it.” He said in a business like tone, but at the same time it was a reassuring tone that was used whenever someone would be recruiting or doing something of that nature. Walton was sure that Argus would end up joining the IA, and that was his goal, for they could definitely use a man like Argus in the IA.
