"Let's go then," Vic raised an eyebrow as he said this, his smile wide. The way he said it, it was like a string was being attached to her heart and was pulling her toward him. She'd follow him anywhere, she realized. And that scared her. He mentioned that this would be after things calmed down, like a vacation. "Vacation... that's a foreign word," she said softly, smiling back at him. "But maybe. Maybe," she sort of agreed. Commitment was hard.
His smile never wavered, though, and she loved that about him. He said he wanted to celebrate and asked about what she wanted to drink. "Champagne, please," she answered. In fact, she realized she was coming up on her year as Minister. It had happened over Christmas break last year, and now it was getting close to that same time again. Was that what he wanted to celebrate? No, that wasn't it. There had to be more. Maybe just being together.
She leaned forward a little, "I think I've broken your face, love," she said squinting her eyes along with her smile, "you won't stop smiling."

Even just hearing Victoire consider a vacation brought a smile to Teddy's face and made him immensely happy. "We've got plenty of time to think about it," he shrugged happily. "Honestly, I'm just glad to even hear you say the word 'vacation.'" He flashed a cheeky grin at her. Teddy continued to smile as Victoire replied that she preferred champagne and Teddy flagged down the waiter to order some.
When the waiter left, Teddy looked at Victoire as she leaned forward and commented on how he wouldn't stop smiling. "Maybe you did," he smiled widely, teasing her. "I'm just really happy, Vic. It's really hard to stop smiling when you're this happy." He chuckled and then settled on a gentle smile, then reached his hand across the table to find hers. "Tonight. We're celebrating you. You deserve to unwind a little," he spoke softly, and when he found her hand he gave it a gentle squeeze.

Vic chuckled at his cheeky grin and shook her head, "it is a strange word. Vacation," she repeated. She nodded gratefully to the waiter as Teddy ordered the champagne and turned her attention back to him.
She smirked as he confirmed that maybe she had broken him. She was glad that it wasn't in a bad way, though, like last time... he said he was really happy and how it was hard to stop smiling due to that and she nodded, reaching her own hand across the table at the same time he did until they met. "I... thank you," she said softly as she squeezed his hand, too, "but how about we celebrate us Teddy and Victoire. The dynamic duo," she chuckled softly.

Teddy smirked as Victoire repeated the word 'vacation.' "A word you need to use more often," he teased her light-heartedly. His smirk then formed into a warm smile when their hands met on the table, his heart leaping when she squeezed his hand back. Her proposal for a toast made his smile widen again and he raised his glass. "I can get behind that," he nodded once in agreement. "To us."
@victoire we can wrap this up!! :]

Of course he said vacation was a word she needed to use more. Everyone said that. She just chuckled, rolling her eyes. Then, he agreed to her toast, raising his glass. "To us," she agreed, ignoring the bright red flaming that had made it's home on her cheeks. Vic wasn't a fan of feeling flustered, but this was different. Teddy was different, and he was the best thing she could ever have asked for, especially in a time like this.
The moment their glasses touched, she pictured their life together in a flash. Marriage, kids, the whole shebang. Now, she just had to decide if all of that was what she wanted. It was okay, though. She had time...
