The Monsters
walk among us
Anna had a pretty good reason for remembering bezoars. From the sound of it, a good portion of her family wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for one of them. Maybe he’d do better carrying one around with him at all times. Hopefully that wasn’t giving into paranoia too much. “I guess we can all thank Harry Potter for more than defeating the Dark Lord.” That sounded weird coming from him. He had never really thought about what had happened, since it never really applied to his life. All of his classmates, him included, were from a generation that survived the fear and terror that was brought forth by him. Strange to think that Lily’s father had stopped all of that. And in less than a year Grey would be working under him too. Funny how things like that worked out. The conversation had switched back to getting potions notes from Irina though. Anna seemed confident that she’d be able to get them though; he was sure that she and Irina were good friends. If things were a little different between him and Irina though, he’d easily be able to ask himself. Burning bridges the way he had 5th year wasn’t the smartest thing to do.
“Not sure…” Grey said, agreeing with Anna about what the foreign students would do once their champions were chosen. “I have a feeling that a few of them will stay, but if they’re given the chance to go back and take classes or graduate right then, I’m sure they’ll take it.” That was a lot of projecting onto them, but they had to be serious here. Keeping them around just as a personal cheer squad was asking a little too much of them. They all had lives too, and keeping them from work or an education was silly.
“Right now?” That was a tough question. Studying was probably what he should have been doing all day. Being lazy was so much more fun though. Looking back over at the book that had been tossed to the side, he realized that they both probably should be doing that right now. They desperately needed it. “I think we both know the answer to that.” With a laugh, he stood up and picked up Anna’s potion book, tossing it to where he had just been sitting. “That’s as much help as you’ll ever get from me on Potions, unfortunately.” He stared up at the castle for a few seconds, debating what to do. Studying was so boring, but his grades and career depended on it. “I need to get on that too,” he said, indicating the book. “I’ll see you around. Good luck with it” Grey gave Anna a small wave goodbye before heading back towards the castle.
[End for Grey xD]
