Dear Marcus, Thank you so much again for meeting with me. I know things were a bit abrupt the other day, so I just wanted to open a line of communication—you didn’t have to do what you did for me, and I’d be happy to return the favour.
Kind regards, Parvati Patil Macmillan marcus

dear parvati,
It really was no problem to meet; if we’re honest, I think it was long overdue. I’m sorry that I left so suddenly, but I have other duties to attend to, and, as we both know, I’d rather keep this whole situation as quiet as possible. There’s no need for the favor to be returned – you have little that I would want, anyways. I hope that Hogwarts is treating you well. cordially, marcus flint parvati patil macmillan

Dear Marcus, It's not a problem. I understand that you are very busy with the Wizengamot. (I apologise if my owl found you at work, by the way.) I understand, too, your desire to keep things quiet. I don't blame you at all. Best, Parvati marcus

dear parvati,
The Wizengamot is surprisingly quiet around this time of year; all the Gryffindor delinquents have returned to school, and thus do not need to have an appropriate punishment for their petty crimes bestowed upon them. I'm sure that Longbottom absolutely jumps at the chance to punish all of his little friend's children in Gryffindor once they get to school, hm? I hope you understand that my need for discretion has nothing to do with you and everything to do with my wife. Even if it had been someone else's spouse who had cheated with Pansy, I would have asked for quiet. cordially, marcus parvati patil macmillan

Dear Marcus, One of my ‘Gryffindor delinquents’ happens to be the Hogwarts Champion for this Triwizard Tournament. I am Head of Gryffindor House, you know.
Hopefully, you aren’t too bored these days. Merlin forbid that a Slytherin should ever require the Wizengamot’s attention.
Best, Parvati marcus

dear parvati,
I don't understand why being the Champion somehow undoes all delinquency. The two aren't mutually exclusive. You know as well as anyone that Potter was a delinquent before he was the Champion all those years ago, and he continued to be a delinquent after.
You're right; Slytherins do have need of the Wizengamot's attention, to protest against Gryffindors. If you were so horribly offended, why did you bother to write back? not-so-cordially, marcus parvati patil macmillan
