Ophelia smiled at Alice’s compliment but clapped happily at the way that maroon lace dress looked on the younger girl. “Alice if I do say so, you’re going to make someone very happy when they see you wearing that dress,” she told her sincerely. She didn’t know what Alice’s love life was like of course, but she imagined Alice was more of a romantic, one-partner sort of girl like her parents. She looked down at herself, wondering what some of her partners would think. Koda would want it on the floor in a heartbeat for sure; she giggled a little at the thought. “You have to buy it and wear it on your next date,” she insisted.
Taking Alice’s arm, she ushered the girl back into the dressing room as they changed back into their normal clothes. “As the person who introduced you to this crazy world of vintage clothing, it is only fair that I gift you with your first piece,” Ophelia told her, taking the two dresses and bringing them up to the register. “May it be the first of many,” she added, handing the cashier some money and asked for separate bags. She handed Alice’s new dress back to her and they headed out the door. “I should be getting back to my errands, but if you’re ever around Saint Mungos and need to talk, I’m at the front desk,” Ophelia said, giving Alice a hug before heading off down the street, glad to have introduced another soul to vintage fashion.
END <3 @alice
